There's a lot of nuclear waste from nuclear energy. How is that the main solution?
but nuclear energy produce nuclear waste men((((( not eco good
Climate change is not real
Nuclear energy would be the best if instead of plutonium and uranium we used thorium. But thorium doesnt make biproducts from which you can make bombs.
only a fool will put hope into the future, live ur life now fully in the present or suffer forever.
Anyway, most of the folks on the left are being hysterical whenever they talk about CC. I cannot take them seriously.
Yeah it's pretty dumb how people will go advocating for something they don't know much about, atleast know your stuff if your going to do it.
climate change is a hoax governments use it to charge big companies taxes when they produce co2 from their factories
the fact that an autistic 16 y/o girl who knows jackshit about climate change is the main head of climate change awareness is sad.
cant we just get neil degrasse tyson on this shit?
When your ideology is fundamentally anti-human and doesn't take into account the people alive right now trying to feed and warm themselves, you can say and think all kinds of moronic things.
how do all climate pushing companies behind this make profit from that? get real lol
Depends where, not anywhere at risk of extreme hazards, and we shouldn't rely upon it for everything. Renewable energy sources are important aswell.
I heared Maldives as a country to finish in 20 years..
thorium reactors r still in the works and it may be a while before they r effective and efficient according to my engineering acquaintances. for example, the Detroit Fermi fast breeder, the only one ever put in civilian use producing power, used liquid sodium as a coolant. a piece of titanium from the "spreader" broke loose and blocked the flow of liquid sodium causing the reactor to overheat and produced a meltdown. the "spreader" is a thing at the bottom of the reactor that looks like an old fashioned washing machine agitator. melting uranium is supposed to hit this and spread out so it never forms a critical mass. that part of the idea worked, but ironically, it was the "safety device" that malfunctioned and caused the meltdown
that also brings into question y we dont use re-processed uranium waste if we're going to go the fast-breeder route. the US has a 1000 yr supply of it and we could use it without any mining. many would point towards the Detroit Fermi uranium fast breeder meltdown so its somewat warranted that we have doubts usin uranium. also we still have the 5000 yr half-life of nuclear waste to worry about. i don't think we're to the point where we can adopt nuclear just yet
perhaps if we didnt abandon the thorium reactor design decades ago for water cooled designs cuz the latter was easy to use on warships w/ endless water supplies; the former being a design that doesnt meltdown but rather freezes, we would be much further along today
Inb4 people demanding to ban cars.
thorium nuclear energy
the G.O.A.T of energy resources!!!
