Yes they have! Looking at 2018, fnatic had a really good chance of de-throning Astralis, with flair

60% Good momentum, overconfident Astralis, Swedish crowd with them, many players in form.

Would say 25/75, not the best maps for Fnatic
2019-10-04 20:02
Malmö is practically a 'danish' city in Sweden and Malmö is just a 40 km (~25 miles) drive away from Copenhagen. Sure - majority will be Swedish fans - but it's not going to be anything near as one-sided as ESL NY. Besides - Fnatic struggled against Furia and Tyloo and lost to ENCE. Astralis 80-20 Fnatic.

2019-10-05 11:41
The better team won.
2019-10-06 20:15 I'd say 25/75 which is not that bad. Maybe even 30/70 because crowd is gonna cheer for them.

%10 at max, if flusha Brollan and KRIMZ drop 500 frags at total in 3 maps maybe they can win it.

They have chance for 11 rounds

70% astralis 30% fnatic

Fnatic might be the only team with a chance to beat Astralis. JW/flusha's "gamesense" is closest to xypn9x/gla1ve's "gamesense"

Exactly as astralis fear flusha's unpredictability

No nuke, no vertigo and I'll give fnatic 50% chance. Otherwise 40%.
2019-10-04 20:17
90% Astralis 10% Fat Jay double gay
2019-10-05 10:43
if i should be honest, its like 90%-10% for astralis
2019-10-05 10:48
Yeah they do I think it'll be 50/50

The win condition for Fnatic is having both KRIMZ and Flusha play like gods, because they don't have a third star or any tactics to fall back on.
2019-10-05 11:14
Brollan and JW can obviously step up big too. I’d say the teams are evenly matched when it comes to skill, but the Astralis lineup has more structure, experience and deeper playbook.

LOL No, they're not even close when it comes to skill. Flusha and KRIMZ can beat Magisk and Dupreeh easily when they're in form, but that's it. JW isn't even close to Device. Brollan is mediocre trash compared to Xyp9x. And even Gla1ve is a much stronger fragger than Golden. The simple fact is you need at least 3 star players who are capable of being in the HLTV top 10 in order to challenge Astralis.
2019-10-05 11:26
Brollan obviously has huge potential. He has been playing great this tournament. KRiMZ is up there with Device and Magisk for sure. Flusha is in my books one of the smartest players in the game together with Xyp9x. It’s not like the other players in Astralis has star quality in that sense, they put up great numbers since they play a crazy solid game. There are lineups with way more skill.

I think the skill of the Astralis players is deceptive because of how disciplined they are at sticking to roles. Take Magisk for example. At one stage in North, lots of pro players and analysts were calling him the #1 player in the world. He was particularly great on CT sides, where he had the freedom to go all over the map and almost treat it like a deathmatch. On Astralis he has less freedom and just does his job, for example holding pit on Inferno. This is why other teams can't just copy Astralis and achieve the same level of success. You can copy their positions, utility usage, bombsite executes, etc. but if the players implementing these tactics aren't as skilled then they won't be able to do the job as well.
2019-10-05 14:45
That's my point, individually I think fnatic is without a doubt on the same level as Astralis, but I don't see Astralis losing to fnatic or any other team this tournament mainly because the team play of Astralis is close to waterproof when they're on point. And not because they have the best player or the best players in the world. One of the biggest reason why I love Counter-strike.
