Got some retarded teammate on faceit that was boosted to lvl2 not joking. He said he was "lurking" but all he did was bait teammates and be at the wrong place all the time.

Must be hard to be a support player in MM, going around and just waiting for the opportunity to flash your mate out or be there for the tradefrag. You can barely use your nades properly since its 64 tick. So a support player in MM got to be really hard. Give them more cred instead ;)
2019-10-08 10:28
in MM there are no roles, you just press W and shoot heads
2019-10-08 10:46
Thats what you should do in MM, but for some reason people press SHIFT and do nothing.

It's not a good excuse, but if your team has practised with you throwing the flashes with peeks, you can atleast call your self a supporter. If you suck -> you suck
2019-10-08 10:34
You are either b8ing or extremely stupid. Support players are those, who sacrifice good weaponry for more utility. While your bitch-ass buys M4 and 1 flash on 2nd round, support buys famas and full utility. They also take spots that no one wants to play and usually anchor site till the end and needs to retake the other site, because YOUR BITCH-ASS loses the site. Retaking without utility is a harder than holding an angle, that's why many support players don't have good enough stats, because of "star" players like yourself who will lose the site and then blame stuff on others.
2019-10-08 10:32
i see a support player over here

This makes a lot of sense. I would use the support player for rotation instead of anchoring. But to be a sole survivor trying to retake with lesser weaponry because of stupid decisions from teammates is annoying
2019-10-08 10:42
Depends on map tbh. I usually try to take spots to rotate more, but sometimes the spots on map that no one wants to take are anchor ones.

Yeah in MM/SoloQ it might be true, but in teamplay, no matter level, a support player should be close to the action and therefore he needs to be fast on the rotation. Having a full set of utility late round anchoring a site where maybe only one lurker will enter is not economical or strategic. Better to use that utility on the site where the help is most needed.
2019-10-08 11:18
You are right.

wait hold up. Lets say you play inferno. And u still want the last guy on B site if the other one is rotated, to not have nades? That’s a bit of Big yikes Imo. Same goes to Mirage B site.

it is situational, and even "star players" should have basic utility. but on the weaker site (almost always B on either map) you play another way. Say that you have one support player in the team, he is supposed to play A-long unless you have an AWP that wanna play there. That way he can delay mid pushes and give crossfire for boiler room. He can also quickly rotate to B-site without puting the other two players on A in big danger.

You kinda still avoid the question. I fully understand How a team should be played, different setups. The question is, would u let somebody play B alone, without utility?

Nope. But take Swedish CS for instance. Usual B-site anchors on Inferno are Krimz (Fnatic), Plopski (NiP) and Dennis (GamerLegion). Krimz usually play from shadow or coffins and put a smoke infront of first orange. Then he spray. When the smoke is close to disappearing he trow a molly behind it and get a safer position. That is about 20 second hold and an A-site rotation should have come through in that time. Plopski usually drop a molly and a smoke on top banana from first oranges, then he popflash below himself to play information. After that he get into safe position. Dennis usually play on Fountain and play more or less like Dennis but putting the molly infront of the smoke instead of behind it. This is to make the rotation player's smoke from CT easier to hit it's target. So in a full buy you expect a B-site player to have at least one smoke, one molly and one flash left!

2019-10-08 11:11
I used to be support, could put up decent numbers, had a shit load of flash assists though
2019-10-08 11:36
Where did you ever meet players saying they are supports?
2019-10-08 11:38
Faceit mm wherever
2019-10-08 11:44
When I play with my friends I'm often doing a supportive role. It allows me to get the most out of my less experienced friends, and if they fail I have the chance to clutch the round. Usually I topfrag. Obviously that playstyle doesn't work with randoms that rush around the corner before you can even ask if they want to get flashed in.
2019-10-08 12:19
Don’t talk shit about taco
2019-10-08 12:22
I play with my little brother a lot and he always cries that I've flashed him and he's died because he runs around the corner dry and sprays him MP7 while I'm setting a flash up!
2019-10-08 12:25
You gotta be patient and teach him. I'm sure he'll one day start using P90.
2019-10-08 12:34
The thing is... He always gets multiple frags! Every single time!
2019-10-08 14:03
With a P90 he'd ace every time.
2019-10-08 14:04

Not a bad support either. Back in the Old seasons I played a lot of tarick. He’s beast aswell. Don’t really like him after the changes tbh
2019-10-08 13:07
Not a support player but i've played with people that fit the definition of support player, they will hold bombs solo and help the teammate with them at the bomb, leaving most frags to him and there is nothing wrong with that
2019-10-08 12:39
supports usually play as an anchor so holding b site solo at mirage isnt easy
2019-10-08 13:02
0/8 or negative IQ Imagine giving a shit about roles in MM OMEGALUL

If they are at least holding a position and using good communication to let the others frag, it's usually fine. I myself am not the biggest entry fragger. I prefer to sneak around a bit or come in for the retake so it happens that I just call some stuff for the others to get in.
2019-10-08 14:22
Saying that you are a "support player" in a pug often makes no sense but it can in actual Team matches.
