Buying consumer good, is a bit high though, i lost my apple head phones in Copenhagen, spent $20 more buying a new pair than i would have spent in Sydney.

2019-10-10 13:58
cost of living is significantly higher in DK than it is the USA.
2019-10-10 14:01
no its not. just healthcare costs thousands a month more in US than in any european country. thats why americans are poorer, despite them having higher wages. besides that, youre only 1 crisis away from being bankrupt and homeless.
2019-10-10 16:52
wtf are you even talking about? The cost of living is higher in DK and the PPI is lower in DK. It is simply more expensive to live in DK than it is to live in the USA. Also here in the US, we have this fancy thing called insurance, where you pay a monthly/yearly fee and then a private company pays most or all of medical expenses. I understand that taking personal responsibility and paying for things yourself is a difficult concept for Europeans to grasp, but if you just give it a little thought I am confident you can wrap your head around it.

Remember to calculate those insurances into the minimum wages then for it to be anywhere close to fair. The difference is that in most eu countries the money from your "insurance" that doesn't go to you personally goes to someone else in need of medical care whereas in the US, that money mostly goes to greedy old men.

I wouldn't trade that for our social security. We are guaranteed healthcare, social security when out of work and a roof over our head. I wouldn't trade that feeling of security for anything in the world.
2019-10-10 17:51
Listen man if you like DK, i'm happy for you, I personally wouldn't want to live in a country that, on average, takes more than half my wages but if you do then more power to you. However regardless of if you like DK or not, it is a more expensive country to live in. There is no debating that.

2019-10-10 21:00
press X to doubt. rent in NYC can go up to easily 3000 dollars per month for a nice apartment. and amsterdam is very expensive as well looking quickly i see rent for copenhagen is basically comparable to amsterdam, you easily pay 1500-1750 euro per month for a normal size apartment.

2019-10-10 21:03
you dont pay 40% tax just for healthcare kiddo and you should be glad that you have that instead of living your whole life in the situation where you are only 1 serious illness away from being bankrupt even if you are a millionaire. because thats what its like in the USA. here in holland the average cost of healthcare comes down to about 5000 euro per month per person. i dont think you could afford that. i think you should be very glad for those taxes kiddo.

we dont need laws we have unions who secure fair pay for everyone which means we have minimum wage just not set by the state but by the people, cause we are smart and the best country in the world.
2019-10-09 20:58
No. You have unions that negotiate a wage based on a profession. An employer is allowed to offer what ever wage he wants, and in the employee accepts thats his salary. Denmark do not have a minimum wage, and thats why Denmark is so much against EU wanting to make a EU minimum wage by law cus it will destroy the danish model with unions that negotiate wages. And again, pls tell me in which law and paragraph the minimum wage is. And tell me again what the minimum wage is in Denmark. So maybe go study u low IQ fucktard.

2019-10-09 21:09
So now you are getting personal cus i know more about the country you live in, than you do? Denmark do not have a minimum wage in theory or in practice u fucking retard. Again; The unions negotiate a wage for the professions. If you arent a member of the union or work in a field with no union, the employer can offer what ever wage he feels like. There is no law against that, and when there is no law against is = No minimum wage. Also an employer is also allowed to offer what ever wage he feels like to a employee under a union, and if the employee accept it its totally fine. The reason why they dont, is then the union members will strike. Again, go read about the danish model braindead retard.

2019-10-10 04:19
No they wont. Many companies underpay their employees. Cus you know what? If they accepted the wage its their own fucking problem. Ill have no problem finding food, how ever you will have a big problem finding the law and paragraph that says anything about minimum wage in Denmark. Im still waiting on you to find it.
2019-10-10 12:52
It’s mostly immigrants who gets underpaid. Any white kid with a decent job in Denmark gets a minimum wage similar to what unions request
2019-10-10 21:31
You are missing the whole point. The important fact is that Denmark private citizens have fully consentually come in union to an agreement upon labour price of certain fields or maybe even the vast majority of jbos , this is VASTLY DIFFERENT from having government power legislating a federal law under which you would go to jail if you cant afford to comply. You see , these idiotic laws and even agreements work well with a very homogenous , controlled and planified populous , but the moment you start having some real diversity , this will collapse or at least tear. You say immigrants are underpaid , but immigrants have a different situation than your average spoiled dane snowflake my friend.
2019-10-11 09:52
Youre both right and wrong. Denmark does not have a formal minimum wage, but the negotiated wage minimum is more or less the same in all professions, and can be considered a de facto minimum wage.
2019-10-09 21:12
No minimum wage in Denmark. A minumum wage is set by law, and there is no law in Denmark that decides what the minimum wage must be. How ever, the unions merged a long time ago creating very big unions like 3F and Dansk Metal. Thats why we have almost the ''same'' wages across many professions.

Based on historical materialism, it is simply unavoidable to have socialism and then communism. Today we look at the slavery system and feudalism like a joke, capitalism will become a joke in the future. It's the productivity that's going to decide our system, even Fukuyama admitted his end of history theory was too naive, and it was also way too idealism. Socialism is about science and natural law.

''Free'' U PAY TAXES IDIOT NOT FREE 1000 USD ? X doubt Oh yeah beer is 100 usd per can LOL
2019-10-09 20:54
Yea, it is 955 USD. Sorry. Don't you think that motivates a lot of young ppl to get an education? OK, lets not call it free. But take an instance, you make roughly 2500 USD a month. That is 1100USD going to to tax. Now, this person is sick and needs medical attention for what is up in the millions. To this person it is a good barking. - And i like it. Just bc you are poor you shouldn't die in the side of the road, bc you got sick. A beer in the grocery store is 0.5 Dollar, but you get 0.1usd back when you return the bottle.
2019-10-09 21:04
1100 USD for healthcare and education is a JOKE. Of course taxes pay other things as well, but insurance costs like $200 max and education around $500-$1000 or something only in the years you study. Rather be paying that one time than $1100 for the rest of your life! Yes but beer in bar in copenhagen cost 10 usd LOL
2019-10-09 21:31
Where are you from? USA healthcare is much less efficient. It's the most expensive healthcare in the world. 200$ wont get you much. 500-1000$ a month? If you are going to somewhat of a good university it can easily cost 50.000USD for a year?? or four dunno. Yea, you are right, drinking a beer out can be expensive. But many places it is around 3-4$ if you know where to go. if you pay 1100$ tax and you hospital cost is 350.000$ I think you are happy you live in denmark and not usa.
2019-10-09 21:40
200$ will get you almost ALL LOL.$200 in insurance cost so you can get up to millions in cost reimbursed. And u say it's much less efficient, so DK healthcare should be EVEN CHEAPER WHICH MEANS U ARE GETTING MORE RIPPED OFF ON UR TAXES! 50,000 * few years lets say 4-5, 200-250k debt but that is much less than whole life (from around 25 to 65is 40 years working) 40% TAXES LOL! U have good job (at least 70k-100k with good degree) well let's say u get taxed 40% in communist denmark, that means RIP 40K YEARLY. So in 6 years you have already lost more from taxes than someone who didnt get handouts and paid for their study did. Conclusion: you think hospital is 350k LOL, no dummy, insurance about $200 monthly. After 5+ years of good degree job you wish you didnt have insane tax rate!!
2019-10-09 22:03
I really do not know where you come up with these magical figures and frankly i don't care. investopedia.com/ask/answers/020915/what.. - USA spend the most on healthcare and is less covered. Its 400$ and 200$ with subsidy. But it doesn't stop there, now does it? You still have to pay for a doctor visit or whatever. It is so fucking sketchy you can't even find a clear list of prices. AND YES just bc you have insurance you still need to pay for hospital visits. Don't even start. What is up with this name calling "dummy" - "IDIOT" and "LOL" - "communist denmark" ? I don't give a damn what you try to prove with it. But it tells more about you, than it does me. - I will report. you don't have to answer, i really don't care what you got to say fakeflagger.
2019-10-09 22:17
Point is still true, even though insurance is expensive and education as well, still cheaper (if you have studied and got good degree job) to pay those expenses rather than paying insane 40% tax
2019-10-09 22:16
So it's good for half your population. alright, that i will agree upon. USA is a wonderful country if you are stacked. If not, you gonna have a bad time. I don't like it that way. It creates diversity and just bc you are born into a good family you have it hella a lot easier. Seems unfair to me. Be happy you don't have to pay 43% or even as much as 65% - I happily pay my taxes bc i care about the danish ppl.
2019-10-09 22:22
Not unfair, ANYONE can get a high degree in this country! So would be unfair to punish those who put in that effort right? Especially people who came from lower income! Not half population, more like 65%. And almost no one (like 95%) of USA wants higher taxes, even the (very) low income groups! But IMO solution is to tax the ultra wealthy more (multi millionaire, billionaire)
2019-10-09 22:29
No, if you do not have money for a great university or even an average you are not gonna attend one are you? It's propaganda. Every man can make his own happiness!! and if he doesn't, he is the one to blame. try making it from the streets of Compton. A lot more difficult than being born in wealthy family in upper east manhatten. OK, so it's sucks to be one of the 35%, hallelulja, thats 1/3. I agree, multi millionairs and especially billionaires should be taxed the shit out of. No one should be allowed to hawk that much money. But everyone has to chip in with what they can.
2019-10-09 22:32
Yes, it's more difficult, that's a fact. But definitely not impossible if you loan money. If you're scared to do that or don't think you're intelligent enough to succeed your studies well nobody to blame for that but yourself. Almost all Americans feel that raising taxes to increase healthcare/study funds is not worth it, even the lowest of income groups. So we're not going to implement socialist things that nobody voted for because the USA is a democracy.
2019-10-09 22:35
Good luck loaning money from anywhere being that guy. Ppl voting Trump into office i got a weird feeling that most americans do not now what is best for them... I dunno dude, world is a weird place, wars still ongoing every fucking where, ppl dying of starvation, we are polluting the oceans, burning the forests (rain forests), dropping huge amount of CO2 in the atmosphere killing our self, alarming rate of animal extinction ect. But most ppl only care about buying the next cool car.
2019-10-09 22:53
You can loan being that guy dont be ignorant. You sound like Greta lol
2019-10-10 00:29

2019-10-11 11:03
Nah dude, you can't just loan. studentdebtrelief.us/news/average-cost-o.. The average cost of a medical license in public university is +300.000$ now try a private university. It's a fairytale, if you coming from a dirt poor family you can't just "loan" money. It creates a gab between rich and poor and makes it harder to break the circle. In Denmark EVERYONE can become a Doctor, if the have the abilities and grades. - We pay them 950$/month to pay rent+food and give them the best possible education. It doesn't matter your mom have been receiving state support for 15 years. You still have the opportunity. This creates equality and best possible candidates. In USA, if you got money, you'll get an education no matter what. I don't see how the american model is better. There is so much inequality. I come from a OK family, if it was the states they would be loaded. But i don't complain, because sacrificing a bit of your belongings to someone else is beautiful. We truly give all people the opportunity. Fuck this Eye for eye and every man for him self mentality. Live together. Fuck Greta, i support her views, but she should consider asking an expert to join her endeavor.

2019-10-09 17:35
It seems you didn't actually read the article to which you linked. And even if you did there is a lot of things the article ignore, like for example that health care is a given right to everyone in Denmark so people don't have to pay for insurance or that low income parents don't pay for child care meaning those earning the lower wages are given a lot by the state. Bottom line. While we do not have a minimum wage per say unions here are so powerful that companies still adhere to what is bargained between workers(unions) and companies(employee organizations), it is also why a working week here is 37 hours, 5 weeks vacation with pay is minimum, sick days are paid, children being sick allows for "sick" days for parents... and just for the record. Our unemployment is below 4%, we export more than we import, and our democracy isn't a corrupt joke like the one in the US.

37 hours work week and 5 week vacation? WTF danish people so lazy
2019-10-09 22:12
LOL That is the norm. At my job those 37 hours include a ½ hour paid lunch each day, so really it is 34½ hour a week and also there is 6 weeks paid holiday plus bank holidays are paid as well. However we are not lazy and actually productivity is so high we can match fx. those in the US which work 50+ hours. I think it is partly because we have less bureaucracy than in many places, the bosses are more like admins and people are allowed to make decisions on their own.
2019-10-09 22:23
Seems like danish people are not allowing themselves to be ambitious by limiting hours and pay
2019-10-09 22:28
What makes you think people aren't ambitious or limited in pay. Those that want can go for jobs where one works longer, but really it is nor how much you work it is how smart you work. If we wasn't smart then our economy as a whole would not be doing so well. Like for example Denmark is one of the best countries to setup a business usnews.com/news/best-countries/open-for-.. entrepreneur.com/article/315824
2019-10-09 22:57
Cool but not as rich as USA! Work more to get richer!
2019-10-10 00:30
Social mobility is higher in Denmark than the US, so in other words the American dream is more real here than in the US.
2019-10-10 00:46
Denmark doesnt even have a minimum wage, but alright i guess. Also i dont think any people in denmark that is 18+ is making under 15 dollars an hour. My friend just turned 18 and got a half time job at 7-eleven where the wage is 110 dkk pr hour which is 16 dollars an hour
2019-10-09 17:40
Lowest I've seen in Sweden from a union is 11,5 USD/hour. Thats probably not the lowest though. I'd say in a near future you won't be able to live off that wage. Housing is getting more expensive each year, higher taxes in the near future too most likely. Can't speak for all Nordic countries but Sweden is definitely becoming more harsh. I wouldn't be surprised if the negotiated minimum wage was lowered and market rent passed on by the government in the next 5 years. Thankfully people who have no clue won't be able to point at Sweden as a good example anymore lol.
2019-10-09 17:43
Am I hearing that you're saying communism is bad?! If so, +1!

No place has uncontrolled capitalism. Even you guys run a version of a social democracy, in fact take Trumps program where he sends money to farmers that are loosing money due to his tariff war - the government giving money to farmers is not capitalism. We run a social democracy with perhaps more emphasis on the social bit than you have, but we also have capitalism (as do the Swedes) and it is more a question about balance.

You wouldn't even make that little amount by working at McDonald's, dude. Housing getting more expensive, sure, but it's so dependent on where you live and we reached our highest average salary ever in december 2018. Housing is always an investment. I would be VERY surprised if they lowered the minimum wage other than making it higher.

I meant as in buying a house/apartment ofc. Housing should get more expensive by time showing that the economy is healthy enough to grow. tradingeconomics.com/sweden/wages I don't know why you would lower the minimum wages when the economy is allowing people to make more and more money.
2019-10-09 18:00

No, facts. Even in the town I live an apartment with 2 rooms for example would cost 1,2 MSEK. You'd need to add approx. 600 000 SEK of your own money to afford that if you earn approx. 21K SEK/month. Not alot of persons on a wage like that with family, single mothers would be able to save up to 600K SEK I can promise you that.

Normally 15% would be enough, but not anymore! imgur.com/FCf3SWB This is calculated on 21K SEK/month wage. Good luck if you're on 19 KSEK Apartment in Stockholm, monthly 4000SEK. No additional loans

wtf 1000 a month is nothing though? you'll live like a king once you've bought the place, and there are so many factors in which allows you to lend money
2019-10-09 18:14
I just calculated this to prove my point. Just pointing out that it is getting increasingly more difficult to live in Sweden. Not saying I make 21K/month. At my age that would be slavery lol
2019-10-09 18:16
11,5 USD/SEK is the lowest regulated in union Kommunals collective agreement. 19095 SEK/month -> Hourly wage 115 SEK Current average salary doesn't mean much IMO. I rarely hear of people making even close to that amount unless they are higher educated or specialised No they wouldn't outspokenly lower the minimum wage, but theres been talks since 2015 about an introductionary pay for persons under 25 years of age and a lowered pay for immigrants to get them on the job market. Doing that would consequently lower the current minimum wage because companies would start to hire the cheaper workforce.

Doubt that will actually happen. The parliament would never accept a law like that if it lowers the minimum wage and disrupts the labor market resulting in people not even affording their rent. And yes almost half of people are higher educated in Sweden so? It's not like you will get a 200 SEK / hour job at a gas station (unless you only work OB ofc).

"25-34: 38,5%" Yeah right. Would like to know which source this dude is using.
2019-10-09 18:25
Who knows. But in those numbers Danes, Norwegians, Finns etc are included. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Sw.. "According to Eurostat, in 2010, there were 1.33 million foreign-born residents in Sweden, corresponding to 14.3% of the total population. Of these, 859,000 (64.3%) were born outside the EU and 477,000 (35.7%) were born in another EU Member State." We are talking about foreign-born here, so 2nd or 3rd generation non-European immigrants are not included in these numbers. And thats in 2010 before the crisis.
2019-10-09 18:35
wow yeah its almost like people migrate to sweden because its a huge wealthy peaceful country with plenty of space, you might be on to something here...
2019-10-10 17:00
Yeah, so fun for Sweden to change thousands of years of Swedish culture, values and ethnicity. These changes are irreversible. Who the fuck are you to decide to change a country so radically forever? This generation is so fucking selfish I'm feeling sick. If you put Somalis in Sweden they will still be somalis. Country is changing to the worse and its all because of misunderstood goodness and naivety.
2019-10-10 18:28
idk i think you should not count on getting much sympathy from dutch people in this regard, we dont give a fuck about your values, we want money. lots of immigrants can add value to the economy. just dont take the losers from safe countries who dont stand a chance of holding down a job. somalia is a war zone right now, a lot of them fled from conflict, you know warlords recruiting child armies, murder, mutilation, terrible things. maybe if the west stopped using imperialist divide and conquer politics throughout africa and the middle east, and then i mean mainly the USA, we would get less refugees here. you know, solve the problem at the source instead of only looking at the symptoms.
2019-10-11 09:16
I didn't conquer anything. The Swedish people didn't do anything. Somalia is not even close to Sweden or Europe. If they want safety, go to the nearest refugee camp. You don't give a fuck about Dutch values, culture or the cohesion of the Dutch society. Immigrants from Africa and the Middle East doesn't contribute to Holland overall. In a few years there will be more children in Africa than people in Europe. It blows my mind how people like you still want to open up the gates to Europe for all these immigrants knowing this. You are probably not of European descent. Or just unenlightened despite +40 years of failed assimilation in every single European national state.
2019-10-11 09:31
am i saying hey ho lets let every freeloader in? no. but i do want to give people a chance to show that they can contribute to society. just because they are black doesnt mean theyre all retarded. there are smart black people as well. it blows my mind how you can be such a racist idiot. idk what you mean by "failed assimilation". its perfectly natural for immigrants who form an ethnic minority to take a long time to become full citizens of society. just look at the italians and the irish in america in the early 1900s. it took them almost 100 years to be accepted. and they were white. also, please dont lecture me about my own culture. you dont know shit about it. we dont have much culture. what we have is wooden shoes and windmills to attract tourists. because they spend a lot of money. our culture is making money. importing cheap labor from north africa was one of the ways to make money in the 50s and 60. you see, in the 1940s, this thing called "WW2" happened and we needed to rebuild everything. oh and PS im 100% white and ethnic dutch, just not an ignorant hater like you.
2019-10-11 09:36
Denmark does not have minimum wage.. No one ever said that.. But even the lowest paying job pays around 100dkk ($15) an hour for people above age 18. If you are between age 16 and 18 its about 60dkk ( $9) an hour. And keep in mind, that these numbers are before taxes.. But even after taxes, the average Danish citizen still has 250% increased Purchasing Power Parity compared the world average. I really hate that the US politicans use Denmark as an example.. Our system is way to complex and advanced for Fox News viewers to understand. They actually belive its communism.. Just like you :)

Why is the US the most successful post world war 2 country by a country mile? I mean we can have hypothetical conversations about European socialism and hopefully we integrate some of the good parts of it but the US basically owns Europe. Now we definitely pay for it. Keeping that many military members and equipment in places like Germany isn't cheap but make no mistake Europe is essentially a vasal state. I know you won't like this but it's true.

Minimum wage is 15 dollars in many places in the US. Also 15 dollars is a shitty minimum wage that hasn't even kept up with inflation. 2019-10-09 18:25
We get paid rougly 1000 us dollars/month to study, when you turn 18.
2019-10-09 18:32
they also pay far more taxes so that healthcare really isn't free is it?

Whoever says healthcare is free i lying, it's tax funded. But no, you don't pay any money up front. I like it better this way tho.

I bet I pay less than you do yearly for healthcare.

(So this is going to be TLDR, conclusion at end mens) Sounds pretty solid, can't tell you exactly how they divide the tax you pay year for year in Denmark (it is very similar though), but in 2018 for each 1.000 DKK (147 USD) you payed in tax money, 164 DKK (24 USD) went to health care. So if we take the average income in Denmark from 2018 before taxes 325.892 DKK (47.885 USD) minus the average income after taxes 227.194 DKK (33.383 USD) you get 98.698 DKK (14.501 USD) payed tax money. So the average danish person payed 98,698 x 164 = 16.186 DKK (2.378 USD) in 2018 for healthcare with everything inclusive and a huge deduction on medicine on top at the pharmacy. You pay 3600 USD a year for healthcare which is more. Although people who make a lot of money in Denmark (like A LOT) might pay way more than you do. Conclusion: in 2018 the average danish persons healthcare was cheaper than this dudes.

Why do you reckon that's less than what we pay?
2019-10-09 21:08
add up your taxes for the year....mine isn't based on a percentage of my income like yours. i pay what i pay for healthcare through my employer no matter my income.

Bear in mind that only a small % of our taxes actually goes to cover healthcare. The reason why healthcare in Denmark is overall cheaper is that the hostpitals are run more efficient. Like if the danish government has 100 hospitals and want to buy medicine, it's a lot cheaper than 1 hospital just buying medicine. Economy of scale.

300 is actually pretty close to what I pay. I make about 4000 a month and our healthcare is roughly 6-8% of our income. I actually pay a bit less than you. I also know a little bit about US healthcare, and I'm pretty sure that our insurance covers way more than yours, considering your "low" personal expenses.
2019-10-09 21:24
The US healthcare system cost about double per capita than most western countries including Denmark. We have more doctors per person than you guys and a really good health care system overall, there are two main reasons our system is cheaper. 1. Since it is a single payer system ie. the state this means the state deals with the medical companies, so it is like "you want to sell drugs in DK, then give us a fair price or we buy from a competitor" as opposed to the US where medical companies charge a lot more for the same drugs, machines and so on. 2. People here visit their doctor more often so they are often treated sooner meaning less complicated and long procedures = less costly to both the system and also less downtime for the patients. There is no such thing as co-payments here. Also worth noticing is that people here do not go bankrupt due to medical bills, plus with people not depending on health insurance through their job it means people are less slaves to their job which makes for more power to workers. Here more on medical debt: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_debt#Medic..
2019-10-09 22:45
every human alive is a slave to their jobs unless they've earned enough to retire i hate to break it to you.
2019-10-09 22:46
There is a difference between being a slave to one job and to working. If a Dane decides to quit it will make no difference for his or her family health care, so even those with say a child that has special needs are not finding them self having to stay in a job whit say a psycho boss or just boring tasks. And also one has some protection against getting fired, pretty much after being a job for three months one has three months notice and this then grows over time. Those that are union representatives or work safety representatives have three extra months of protection, meaning getting rid of people is costly so this helps unions have more power which is why we have short working weeks and so on.
2019-10-09 23:07
hate to break it to ya, but you're ill-informed. also you should do a deep dive into how taxes work in Denmark, it's fascinating stuff really.

We don't have minimum wage, we have 85% union participation rate tho, in America that number is close to 15%. This basically explains why we don't need a minimum wage, because the unions demand a de-facto minimum wage. I know most Americans despise unions tho, but that might be because the unions there don't actually care about their members.
2019-10-09 20:39
In Denmark there is no minimum wage tho, we have a unique Danish method, can't compare it to the retarded USA.

The funny thing on here is most US hltv users GUARANTEED fit into the middleclass white suburban home with 2 vehicles in the driveway, daddy owns a car dealership, mommy works office/home, 2-3 trips per year, Johnny gets the newest graphic card every year (separate from Christmas and his Bday, where he gets the rest of the new computer). It's comical. These kids are the types of kids that don't want a minimum wage increase. They have their college and university paid for and will be fed by silver spoons until they barely scrape by long enough to get their fully paid engineering degrees, while being protected by mommy and daddy's personal health insurance until they are wretched off by some government entity. My literal vision everytime a 15-yr-old American tries to defend the upper class in their country. "Am I supposed to come down and warm up my own leftover Pizza from Family Fun Night, Mom? GET ME MY F***KING PIZZA. BRING ME A PEPSIx2 AS WELL! To my DOOR, LEAVE IT OUTSIDE MY ROOM!"

2019-10-11 02:12
The article is right, more or less. Denmark is one of the most expensive countries to live in. And while any McJob will make you 20$/hour with add-ons for evening work etc, living expenses and taxes will reduce that, so it´s comparable with other western countries (but still higher). It is also still quite a bit higher than low paying jobs in England and Germany. Sad to see you make this a discussion about communisn. Nothing and noone participating or mentioned in this thread are communists - except Fidel Castro, and you´re the only one mentioning him, as a joke.
2019-10-09 21:21

So fun when americans try to speak of the danish system.. Its so far ahead of their own they dont really get it. And when having to trying to put it into terms they understand because of what they have they end up with something wrong. not even the goverment can figure it out. They did send out papers about Denmark to scare the american people of the danish way ( sadly its working, sadly the americans actually believe that stuff ) even though 97% of it was wrong. and the rest only right in black and white. and not putting into account the numbers or meaning behind it. There is no need for a min. wage because the system is said up where people fight for the rights. the danish system is unlike others. and work so well there is no need to set a low limit because on average people are already paid more. And the whole joke thing with taxes is again a painted picture of people telling the lies they are being told not to fight for what they could have... infact danish people have far more than the average american. and the tax pressure is lower for the average dane. because if an american have to buy what in Denmark is human rights they actually have to spend more on it. unless they are lucky enough to have a company they work for paying it. but that is not a right they have. that along side many not having jobs or jobs where they have that security actually leave many with less pay than a average dane, and having to pay more for less than a dane have. the US have such big difference.. one american can have anything. an other nothing. no water or electricity. schools as a 3 world country. crime and murder, no money for food or healthcare. And that is where the US fail. its not even able to take care of its own people. And hide the fact and try to hide it from the people painting a picture where those things that work is a bad thing. because the US is not a democracy.. its run by the rich for the rich. and for them this work the best. because they decide where the money go. and what others call corruption can excist. and millions of americans pay for that. And millions of americans in the middle dont know this. they are not tought this, only the lies to carry it on. they dont know the state of the nation or those americans that suffer each day. they are told the US is the best. and all else is bad. and giving false reason to make it so.. To think of what the US could become if people starting learning something real. if they started to care more about knowing the truth. than protecting something false under the name of nationalism and patriotism.

Well, citing articles from 2015 that rely on data from even before 2015, and doesn't have any sources or explanations as to its calculations is not a great means of research either ^^ Being a dane, I can tell u that the "minimum" wage is now set at 115DKK (roughly 17USD)- which is not a big change (minimum in brackets because we dont actually have one, it's just an average across the lowest payed jobs that employees then tend to follow cuz noone wants to be known as the guy that pays below average of "minimum"...) - Looking at PPP data from 2016n though (as close to 2015 as I could find - globalis.dk/Statistik/BNP-per-indbygger-.. - In Danish, sry about that) it appears that the unexplained calculations in your linked article should have been the other way around - which actually DOES explain why 20USD is roughly the "minimum" wage in Denmark... :) I like the fact that u approach a claim with criticism! But remember that humans seem to be drawn to facts that further verify the outlook on reality that u already have, and disregards facts that disprove it. - I am unbiased in this manner, as I have no interest/knowledge of american politics. I simply just found a real topic related to Denmark on HLTV, and therefore decided to do like 10min of research ^^
