dancer in the dark, made to make people cry
2019-10-11 13:41
This was my first movie to really cry about, it was really messy and it lasted for a good 30 minutes after the movie. But now I never cry about "sad" stuff, only happy stuff makes me cry, and the tiniest lovely gestures just opens my tear canals, and puts on a smile hard to let go off even though muscles are tired. I only watch movies alone, or with my wife, who of course laughs her ass off that her husband cries like a bitch. Makes me really relaxed though.
2019-10-11 16:21
I only cried at the end of my favorite TV show and only because I wanted to cry. It was the most damn right moment in the world to cry. Felt good, advise ya.

I dont know why i just really want to try it. To get so emotional from a movie that i wouldnt be able to hold back tears.
2019-10-11 13:46
And that's the thing, the pussies in here don't hold it back, hell if anything they push for it to let it out. Nobody actually cries over movies, everyone can hold it in without trying. It takes trying to make you cry over it. So there you go, you wanna cry like a little bitch over movie; try. It's the only way.

I have been to the theatre a few times. Watched The hunchback of notre dame, the three musketeers, Phantom of the opera and some more. I dont think an opera would bring out tears as i would most likely be asleep half the time :(((
2019-10-11 15:00
hehe, only great ones will do it for me. Movies are no chance what so ever, stopped watching tv shows and films for maaaaany years now, i feel same as you.... last years i watched a always fall asleep after 5-10mins :>

Watching an actual big theatre in an old theatre building is really something special. Sooo many actors are performing live right in front of you and there are huge orchestras composing all the music live aswell. I remember in Phantom of the opera that the freaking huge chandelier was on the stage and then suddenly it got pulled up to the roof of the theatre with the theme being blasted by the orchestra and there were blinking lights and smoke and i dont think ive ever experienced goosbeumps like that before.

2019-10-11 16:59
I love Cinematography and various types from drama, historical action to Sci-Fi. I cried quite a few times (well cried - I shed silent, manly tears). But nothing got me as emotional as "Koe no Katachi" - Yeah, it's an anime movie. You mentioned they don't do anything to you - try it. It's a stand alone movie. You can watch this one anime and never watch another again, no investment needed. "Kimi no Na wa" mentioned before was very decent and also emotional with vert decent graphics and animation. As a side note, you get emotional when you connect with the character in the movies and the story touches you on a deeper level. It might be something completely different for each person. If you dive deep into a movie, get immersed by it and connect with a character - any sad moment can make you cry (cough... cough... shed silent, manly tears, cough)
2019-10-11 17:08
Schindler's list The red girl scene & the ending ring scene always gets me. The score probably has something to do with it
