Help me and i give you 10euros worth skin!!!
Europe in_god_i_believe
I have laptop and i can run pretty much any new game with decent fps, laptop is like 3 years old and it has been working fine. Now here is a problem, when i play games i have this sound crackling and slutering and that stuff makes fps drops and fps go in half in all of games, so instead of having 100fps i get 30 or 40fps and whenever i hear sound slutering my fps falls even lower. So i need help how to fix this eror. Person who helps me fix this thing will get a 10 euros worth csgo skin.

Try opening the task manager and go to "Details" and set the priority of the game to "Realtime", keep your money if this works, I don't need it
2019-10-17 20:41
can't change it, it says access denied when i try to change priority

cracking sounds sounds like a HDD problem to me might be a fan too
2019-10-17 20:41
I think you are close, i indeed had a fan problem, i have 2 fans and cpu fan was making loud noises sometimes, one of the things inside was twisted abit, but funny thing is sometimes my laptop is pretty loud and sometimes it quit, and i not doing anything it just random when i start it up, but when my cpu fan is a little bit louder than usually then all things works fine and i don't get any fps drops.
2019-10-17 20:50
i guess the video card cooler has a broken flap or something like that, even tho it is very unlikely. you cannot be sure until you open the laptop and see what s up. maybe some metal parts in your laptop are dilated because of the overheating. its hard to call a problem by your description bruh edit: i dont want ur skin xD
2019-10-17 20:42
thanks for help, i forgot to mention this is not the first time i have this eror, it happens from time to time, but usually it fixes it itself in a couple of days, well no it refuses to fix it itself again lol.
2019-10-17 20:52
did you upgrade from windows 8 to 10?
2019-10-17 20:42
no im on w7 for 3 years
2019-10-17 20:52
download speccy and check your temperatures of your hardware when the fps drops
2019-10-17 20:56
btw i had this broken gpu with a broken fan, whenever the fan started making weird noises my fps would drop alot. In Speccy i could see that my gpu would rise to 90 degrees when my fan made noises. Changing my gpu fixed my problem
2019-10-17 20:58
temperatures never make my fps drop, and i had fan problem too, but when it would be loud things would work fine, but when it would be quiet i would get low fps or spikes...
2019-10-17 21:14
That means your fan stopped and makes something inside hot which causes for frame drops
2019-10-17 21:16
no it is not stopped air still blows when i check with hand, i have also high latency? what causes it?
2019-10-17 21:22
"whenever i hear sound slutering my fps falls even lower", just make yourself deaf, problem solved. now give me skins
2019-10-17 20:45
well i can be deaf but the games will be still unplayable because of lags...

Go to sound > playback and try disabling some devices
2019-10-17 20:45
tried and didn't help much thanks for answer anyways.
2019-10-17 21:03
is it ssd or hdd? sounds like hdd problem, ez fix is to replace with ssd, gunna be WAY faster and ssd lifespan is like 100+ years meanwhile a hdd lasts 5-10 years sometimes less but it could also be fan problem i guess, check temperatures and see what it is like under load keep ur skin and put it towards the ssd :)
2019-10-17 20:48
thanks m8, i don't know i had some fan issues before, it was quite loud sometimes and sometimes its quiet, but it also could be hdd, well im not investing any money in this laptop, i was gaming a lot tried a lot of games etc, i overheated it a lot too, So in the future this summer maybe i will build new pc, Also i need to mention if i open this thing up it would not turn on anymore, i even had to disable windows updates, because they caused booting up problems, ever since technician replace some stuff when i try to turn it on, it has problems and sometimes in the middle of the launching picture it just turns off and it restarts, and when i finally manage to boot it up it said windows has reseted or something like that
2019-10-17 21:00
Also another question, if hardware would be broken would that caused boot up problems?
2019-10-17 21:05
First of all, try to clean all your hardware parts and giving it a try, if it doesn't work, then It might be a problem with your HDD. Also be sure to update your drivers to the latest version :) I won't ask you for the skins, but you can trade me anytime
2019-10-17 20:52
Here is a thing i don't think this old laptop would survive that, and if it would the cost of replacing all parts would just be too much, not worth it, once i did that stuff that you suggested with technician and now im stuck with boot up bug.
2019-10-17 21:02
You don't need to replace any part of your notebook, just need to clean it (the cooler for example), also change your thermal paste, since you're going to put your hands to work, I can't see a reason why you shouldn't do that too. Make some tests and some research on IT forums. Let me know what happened at the end :)
2019-10-17 22:20
Download a better graphics card or cpu dumbass

ssd is better for boot up and yes you would be able to play games tho if its damaged hdd you should remove it all together

BUY A CHEAP ONE AND CHANGE IT AND IM PRETTY SURE IT WILL FIX IT OR IT COULD BE DAMAGED RAM STICK try removing one ram stick at a time and see if it changes things
2019-10-17 21:07
btw does broken hdd causes high latency?
2019-10-17 21:20

Europe MaHoTei
no that would be net problems or pcs adapter
2019-10-17 21:22
high latency it is then how do i fix that?
2019-10-17 21:25
Also one more thing when i am in game latency goes to red, and when i quit the game latency goes back to normal.

yes that means slow net or bad adapter fix it by upgrading net or fixing adapter and as i said when i had one damaged ram stick in my pc my latency seem to be bad aswell so that may be it aswell so try to remove ram stick one by one and see if you have any damaged ram sticks
2019-10-17 22:06
ok will try it

seems like CPU is thermal throttling, have you checked the cpu and gpu temperature while gaming ? i suggest you clean the fans and put a fresh thermal paste
2019-10-17 21:11
temperature was never a problem it was always to high and it never caused fps drops or sound slutering, also now im playing a game and i can check with hand, fans or laptop is not even that hot and i still have lags, for example i can play old game with shit specs that won't make my fans overheat but i will still get slutering and fps drops.

then maybe it's RAM problem or a bad driver, try installing older drivers that came out with the laptop if this doesn't work then it's RAM or the hard drive
2019-10-17 21:21
just pray to god to fix it
2019-10-17 21:18
it helped 3 times already, i had this problem a couple of times already, i guess i need to pray more this time
2019-10-17 21:20
have you considered that god is trying to communicate via these crackles in audio and this drops your fps? Listen closely to the crackles and your instructions shall be clear child.
2019-10-17 21:22
no we communicate before i go to sleep every night i talk with him, so it's unnecessary for him to send me messages through sluttering, he can tell me what he wants in small talk before i go sleep
2019-10-17 21:24
perhaps, perhaps. but god works in mysterious ways. Perhaps he tells you via these crackles what he can not say in words, perhaps there are no human words that can properly communicate the message that he sends.
2019-10-17 21:25
Nah m8 he is more old timer, he is not familiar with pc and new technologies
2019-10-17 21:27
You believe that a human creation is beyond his ability of comprehension? That humans are a more intelligent species than god himself, creator of all things?
2019-10-17 21:31
yes
2019-10-17 21:32
fair enough, allahu akbar
2019-10-17 21:32
There are many gods, i do not judge you if you believe in other gods.
2019-10-17 21:35
I believe in the existence of no gods.
2019-10-17 21:35
format it
2019-10-17 21:38
Can't won't turn on again if i do that
2019-10-17 21:39
try to change the energy suply. put in performance. maybe it is in economic mode
2019-10-17 21:41
Its not its on maximum performance, its latency issue i belive
2019-10-17 21:46
open the notebook and clean it

do you have radeon gpu in there ? If yes just turn off radeon chill in global settings
2019-10-17 21:50
no its nvidia
2019-10-18 01:44
Try reinstall your system and clean the dust in the laptop. Or install the CPU-Z, check the CPU, GPU state. Find out what's wrong with your laptop. (Go buy a new one is the best solution)
2019-10-18 03:00
how's the temperature? Maybe the fan doesnt work well.
