2019-10-18 19:06
Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
They eat about 3.6k calories everyday.
2019-10-18 19:08
na mate, i thought so too, we have like hourlong drunk talks at the bar. their field trip ration are packages for the whole day 1k calories and for when they are stationary max 1.5k on good days 2k calories.
2019-10-18 19:11

i mean u can get shredded from one meal a day if u do exercise for 3 years straight. footballers are amongst the leanest motherfuckers out there and they rarely train anything beside legs.

Wtf. 1k kcals per day can’t be true. Each field ration pack is almost 1k I believe, and I imagine they get three per day
2019-10-18 19:13
from my own experience, I was 1 year in Kosovo and inside these packages you can't even fit near 1k calories I believe. there was just some tuna or some other disgusting stuff. but now, 5 years later I heard from a friend that they have McDonalds and a Spa at the same field station.
2019-10-18 19:15
those rations (MREs) are higher than 1k calories each, but tbh the Army and Marines don't really use them except for field training events and remote outposts in country
2019-10-18 19:36
i eat 1.5k daily too | 180cm 60kg
2019-10-18 19:14
It's perhaps because too much would make their body slow. I don't know shit about it, just guessing.
2019-10-18 19:20
ye, we just overfeeding cuz some lobbys tell us too. if u stay active and do hard exercise daily u dont need much food to grow muscles, its just marketing.

I mean the objective is to eat at regular times and eat until you are no longer hungry - not when you feel full. Otherwise you get slow and more easily tired since your body spends a lot of energy digesting what you just ate. But yes, in many cases we are overeating. A soldier needs to be top shape.
2019-10-18 19:29
You dont get out of shape because you eat too much. You get out of shape because you dont move enough
2019-10-18 19:33
It's not about muscles, it's about feeling heavy and being less effective because diggestion can be a pain in the ass if you eat too much. Besides, I've read (not only once) that having some hunger can make a person more aggressive (as we are designed to be more aggressive when hungry, to be more effective at getting food and surviving) which is exactly what they seem to go for, to make a soldier a better fighter.
2019-10-18 19:48
Shut the fuck up man, one of us has actually been in the army and it sure as fuck isnt you
2019-10-18 20:20
Did I say anywhere I am speaking facts? I even mentionned I've read things somewhere, which means I don't know how true it is. You haven't even properly answered me. The getting out of shape wasnt about muscles or anything like that, but more as in form. Don't need to get angry over that. It's stupid, especially because I am just trying to figure it out.
2019-10-19 01:29
Dumbest thing I ever heard. Body uses roughly 2k +- kalories be just existing. No person who is buff will stay buff for long if you only eat 1.5k calories a day for long. Day-pack of food when I serviced was 2k+ calories and since then military food (at least here) has gotten a lot better. If you are talking about field excersices than sure, 1.5k is pretty normal, but this is not something you do for longer than a few weeks.

this body building cult eating 1kg meat a day is probably the reason for the climate going nutty.
2019-10-18 19:35
the Marines are just ingrained with their fitness standards. their focus is strength stamina when i was in ROTC (Army) we would share the fitness facilities and track with the other branches. I distinctly remember one female Marine that could easily do 30+ pull ups and no joke she would dip (tobacco similar to snus) while she worked out.... they're beasts lol
