United Kingdom xTheDeadPixel Santiago Metro now one of most expensive in Latin America, costing 830 pesos. "And here we have the aftermath of Chilean police using tear gas (a chemical weapon) yday on a train carriage that includes children (line 5 of Santiago's metro). Just another day in one of capitalism's favourite Latin American "democracies" URGENTE URGENTE URGENTE ESTAN DISPARANDO A MATAR! PROYECTIL fue disparado por Carabineros a una estudiante ahora en Estación Central. Por favor compartir en todas las redes al máximos antes que lo bajen. 1 dollar ticket prices? I thought my round trip ticket for 25 bucks on the train to hit the beach for the day was cheap. I need to organize a protest in the USA. Costs me 2 dollars just to drive to the train station.

In Argentina, a train ticket is 20 cents, and a subway one, 30
2019-10-19 05:16
That's amazing. You could probably look around the ground and find 20 cents then hit the train. It's basically free. One good thing we do have here in most counties is a bus system that's 5 bucks a day and you can visit the whole county. Way cheaper then driving. your own car.

Oh yeah no doubt it's a steal compared to the prices we face, but for them it's a huge cut out of their income.

2019-10-19 05:28

We have similar protests here from students regarding transportation fares. Even though their rage was legitimate they totally missed why it was the way it was. In the end it resulted in nothing.

"Besides a metro with 100 stations along the city and Transantiago, the public transport system, with more than 11,000 bus stops; Santiago also offers the first least expensive taxi start of America, which equals to 0.45 USD." Just take a taxi bro.
