bigger models and can see things better in distance
i prefer le 16:9, it makes me aim better and faster even having shit pc but i use 4:3 at pugs for higher fps (800x600) and i still get only 30-50 fps )))))
Try it yourself for a month each, pick one where you perform better, for me it was 4:3
16:9 just feels weird and too slow
its easier to aim with 4:3
16:9 gives more view but that doesnt really matter much
what reses you guys using? I play at 1080
4:3 thicker models = easier to aim, more fps, slightly less view but not so much.
on 4:3 I feel like i'm more close to action. Idk how to say it, but just my gamesense and feeling of the game is better. On 16:9 and 16:10 im more consistant and I get 99% of easy frags when on 4:3 I'm sometimes missing ez kills but i'm killing people which I wouldn't kill on 16:9 and 16:10. Mostly these kills are on long distance and on situations where you almost don't see enemy or you need fast reaction to kill him.
So for me 4:3 > 16:9/16:10 but still testing
4:3 just feels... right? 16:9 just feels weird to me.
1920x1080 if u r not an awper
4:3 stretched makes player models wider, so larger hit area for you (theoretically)
77% of professional cs players are just playing with placebo i guess
with 16:9 u can see better but its just personal preference
Idk...the fact that pros use X doesn't mean its better. Many of them are just copying what they were used to at 1.6 or their idols who played 1.6. I tried 1280x960 coz of the pro meta and its blurry and ugly, so i just use 4:3 1440x1080. Its 4:3 but looks normal. I played at native (1920x1080) for some time and it was great...i don't even know why i stuck with 4:3. I have a 1080ti and 144hz monitor, so fps is a non issue. I guess i just don't want to fiddle with settings too much as you lose consistency like that . Ropz is playing at 1920x1080 and he's a beast, so its not like 4:3 is obligatory to play good. Its just what you prefer, there isn't any "correct" res or aspect ratio, just do what you like.
