You can see influence of big advertisement here
2019-10-29 18:44
Yep. If they want their data mined by Tesonet thats their problem
2019-10-29 20:41
Nord is a data mining operation Their address is 50th Street, Global Plaza Tower: 19th Floor, Suite H, Panama [1] This address is used by shell companies. [2][3][4][5] So, now we can be establish that Tefincom is not the real company behind NordVPN. When you make a payment to NordVPN, your money apparently goes to a CloudVPN Inc.[6] This is weird, since NordVPN claims to be subject to Panama laws and CloudVPN is based out of the USA. [7][8] It gets better, check CloudVPN Inc's public records, and check out their 2017 original report under the history menu. [9] Listed as the president/director is Darius Bereika. [10] Darius Bereika is also the CEO of tesonet. [11] You read that correctly, the person who is the president of the company who manages NordVPN payments is the same person who's the CEO of Tesonet. If that doesn't bother you, keep in mind that Tesonet runs a data-harvesting service. wouldn't the fact that it's based in Italy (one of the 14 eyes) be a concern though? I don't know much about VPNs, so I'm genuinely wondering
2019-10-29 20:58
Meh. Italy have no data retention laws. EU also has good laws for customer data privacy. Air does not run any servers in Italy so they cannot be forced to log anything in a different country. The most Italy could do is subpoena for user info but that would amount to an email (can use a fake one) and maybe credit card/paypal if you didnt use crypto. Read this to get some insight airvpn.org/forums/topic/26206-rebuttal-o..

Have you played watch dogs With some tinkering you are able to hack phones through wifi connection like in the game vpn's are really useful when being in foreign countries or any place where you need to use wifi instead of cellular data so you can use unsecured wifis without so big of a worry.

Reminder to NEVER use Nord. U mean turn on vpn on opera is just a fake option?
2019-10-29 21:03
just routes your traffic through a proxy that collects all your sites visited more than likely and sells the info. It works fine for bypassing geoblocks

Vietnam tat96
Ok, good to know. What a bout normal using, without vpn turn on i mean, they still collecting our data right?
2019-10-29 21:25
Opera collects data regardless of vpn mode or not.

I have read your #54, #58, really cool info there. So with vpn turn on or not, opera can still see my info/text on http site?
2019-10-29 21:37
They are collecting cookies and site history. If you use their opera proxy THEN they have the ability to see HTTP plain text.

Vietnam tat96
So... Http plain text are save without opera vpn turn on, right?

Ok, really cool infos, thanks for answering my questions
2019-10-29 22:49
if the product is free, you are the product. they probs made nice buck with your data. how dumb can you be.
2019-10-29 21:09
Https keeps his content pretty safe but they know all the sites you visit. Connecting to a http site as you know leaves all his info/text in plain site
2019-10-29 21:12
i meant that opera has all of his internet data and traffic. i'd never use ''free'' VPN's and def not use any sites that has sensitive information like netflix, hbo, steam etc.
2019-10-29 21:18
Most of those sites use HTTPS though so Opera would not be able to see any plain text. It would be encrypted end to end. Take a look at these firefox tweaks so you can even encrypt your site requests so everything is hidden hltv.org/forums/threads/2147379/blind-yo..
2019-10-29 21:20
ty, really interesting i've used chrome for the longest time and i've been meaning to finally get myself to switch to firefox for like a year now.

Just buy a damn VPS. There are tons of scripts on github where you have to pull and run the script. That's it. You will get a working VPN in seconds.
