This move was probably bad but a change in general made sense for the team.
Just take a look at the CS scene right now and imagine how it's going to be in a couple of months. ENCE would not have stayed in the top 5 even if they hadn't changed anything. Astralis, Liquid, EG, Vitality, fnatic, Na'Vi, and G2 are all really good teams. Then there's going to be OG and Complexity that are probably going to storm in to the top 7-15 at the very least. There are also many other teams that have much potential and that ENCE has had trouble against: renegades/100T, Forze, Avangar, Heroic etc.
This change was made out of necessity. That's what people don't seem to understand. The scene was relatively weak when ENCE was in the top 3-4. The top teams were really strong but many other teams hadn't reached their potential.
Top 10 was something that ENCE was realistically aiming for when the team was formed. Instead, they made top 5 and I believe that's kind of hurting them right now when the scene is getting stronger. Top 10 isn't enough for them anymore and it was realistic to believe that they were going to drop down to top 7-10 at some point so allu felt like they have to make a change.
If ENCE makes it back into around the top 8-12 but won't become a top 6 contender, I believe this change had nearly zero effect on the team. They would've dropped down to around those positions anyway.
