Forgotten players with potential
 |
Finland aqua_rius
I was bored so I decided to have a look at these. 1. aizy. People tend to forget that when aizy surfaced on the scene, he was widely regarded as one of the up-and-coming danish superstar players. Then something happened and he has been stuck in T2 teams as the secondary carry for a long time now. 2. jkaem. Basically the same as for aizy. jkaem had insane potential. When he was still on Faze he was considered a top3 prospect with great aim. I still strongly believe he will be able to get better, although he's now more like a veteran player in the scene. 3. Liazz. People shit on Liazz for absolutely no reason. Do you all forget that this guy tore the whole AU/NZ scene apart when he surfaced? He's insanely good as an aimer and I strongly believe he will become a top10 player in the future. 4. disco doplan. Again, forgotten talents. Disco Doplan was widely regarded as a rising star in the swedish scene, but after getting his chance at T1 he just ... fell off. I like to think that the pressure got to him and he just did not come to fruition as most expected him to. 5. nex. Now sure, nex has been playing horribly lately but let me explain. This guy has insane raw aim. He has crazy 4k's, 5k's and much more. He just lacks the consistency and the gamesense to be on top right now. The least probable of these to improve on their game. 6. zehN. zehN is a player who went largely unnoticed on his time in Penta/Seed/Sprout. He was always undershadowed by suNny who went on to become the most accomplished finnish CS player before ENCE showed up. This guy is a solid support player with great experience and aim. Could fill up a TACO-style role on almost any top 5-15 team. 7. nawwk. After e6 galaxy everyone just forgot this guy. Still lacks experience but will become a T1 worthy awper in 2021 at latest. He has massive skill and a cool playstyle with a great sense of positioning. Definately worth watching. 8. I have to do it right? Jamppi. (definately not forgotten tho) Jamppi is the most skilled awper talent RN, but a CS:S vac ban on a sold steam account hindered his rise to a T1 worthy team. Jamppi is excellent in opening rounds and creating space, with his flicky, flashy playstyle. This guy is also a great pistol player and does not lack in variety regarding the weapons he plays. What do you guys think? Can you name a player who was considered up-and-coming but never just came to be? Cheers lads

JDM definately had his chance. He is a great awper don't get me wrong, but he just lacked consistency in rifles. His awping skill just never was enough for a team to pick him up as a pure awper.
2019-11-06 12:16
he's streaming again and he seems to be quite a bit better with rifles now. I just wanna see him develop more in tier 2 NA. He was pretty good on envy for that short time oh btw it's definitely (def-i-nit-ley)

I think he'd be a great support player tbh. He was never too aggressive with the AWP and could be a great experienced player to develop talents like s0m, TenZ or even oBo.

Niko is definately not forgotten and I believe he will get back into great shape Gratata is a fun player to watch who has taken a more supportive role on 100T, he surely has a high skill ceiling but again, lacks consistency. Don't think he's too forgotten though.

Grats aim is insane. He is so fluid with his movements which is weird because he is so aggressive. I was joking about Niko haha.

I know, I've seen Grats early plays in the NZ scene in the form of a deagle 4k/5k (cant remember which). I've actually followed competitive CS since 2014, just decided to join HLTV in 2018.

Same bro. I started watching cs back in 2017 before I even had the game. I was actually a faze fan for so long before, then I decided to follow my boys since 2018.

Just thought about making more of these kind of posts since people seem to enjoy a good debate in a friendly manner. Might be intriguing to some HLTV users who arent complete trolls.

Yeah, I troll sometimes because it's fun. However, some post are great to actually get into a subject. My last one was someone complaining about how to Awp "lowers" the skill ceiling. Some kids are real stupid nowadays.

XMS too. Both were good players at their time, just fell off for some reason and never lived to the hype around them. XMS especially had insane aim.

Yeah I'm not talking about right now, but before. Back in his time in Faze and before he was widely considered a star player in the making. Just either 1. decided to leave it and improve on other areas of the game and become a supportive player or 2. just fell off. He was insane before Faze aswell.
2019-11-06 12:22
as far as i remember he had some personal problems in his life and he even said something like renegades were his second chance in life. might be wrong tho but i think that it was him

Could be, really have no idea though. 100T have great potential though, AZR is a solid IGL, jks a real carry and grat, liazz and jkaem all have nasty potential. I'd dare to call them a future top5 team if they can get their individuals to turn up.
2019-11-06 12:27
in not sure about grat tho. he is really inconsistent and sadly he is more bad than good...but lately he stepped up a bit from what i saw.

Grat was great in NZ. Just needs to become consistent
2019-11-06 12:30
i hope so...i hope that it will be soon bcs i think that nadeshot will be pretty demanding and sico is in great form so i wouldnt be surprised if he will force this lineup change sooner or later if grati wont be consistently atleast decent+

Yeah. Though I doubt that he'd break the synergy between these guys. Surely if their performance drops I can see a change in the future, but having watched the YT video made by Nadeshot, he seems passionate about this group of people so I think he'll let them grow and have a decent time together before a change.

Thought about including him but he really isnt that forgotten. He has incredible aim, talent and gamesense, just lacks the social skills. Dexerto recently reported that he'd be joining complexity, which would in my opinion be a great move for both. K0nfig would get a platform to improve on and coL would get a star-player worthy player with insane aim.
