T1 T2 T3 teams

France Bubuche
T1 = Top 20 world (Teams that we often see in playoffs of big events) T2= Top 20 (MDL teams for example) T3= Other pro / Semi pro teams What's your opinion ?
2019-11-07 16:35
Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
top 10 teams is tier 1 imo

Yes but Top 10 always change (almost every weeks) And games are always closed and winner of a match will lose the same match at the next event
2019-11-07 16:37
rn top13 are tier 1 for my opinion
2019-11-07 17:01
tier = bunch of teams with equivalent level

yes, so how do you see it in our csgo pro scene ?
2019-11-07 16:38
Tier 1 = EG, Astra, Fnatic, Liquid For example Vitality's level is not equivalent to those teams because they can't beat them consistently

Agreed for Vita, But: EG vs Vitality = unconcistent Fnatic vs Vita = unconcistent
2019-11-07 16:39
even tho I hate it , you must consider 100T , G2 , Vitality etc as tier 1 too or else teams like BIG should be tier 4 , they are not btw

Then make a thread straight up asking what does it mean when people talk about tiers, instead of writing this garbage. P.S. every comment on this website is useless, it's HLTV

In this case this is changing every weeks so ... I think we need something more consistent
2019-11-07 16:41
idk. I feel like Liquipedia should do something for this like they do for tournaments with their S, A, B, and C tier only for teams (although imo that system ain't flawless either)

 |
France Bubuche
Yeah indeed I think there is no flawless system Such as no flawless ranking calculation
2019-11-07 16:45
Liquipedia ranks all DH opens as A-tier, which is ridiculous considering the Blast tournaments with Astralis, Liquid, Navi, Faze, etc are also A-tier

T1 should have at least a good chance of beating the MAJORITY of other T1s. they should be expected to convincingly beat T2, who are expected to consistently beat T3, but beyond T3 honestly anything can happen and its hard to predict outcomes

I really don't know because even if blast got god tier teams, it's a very weird tournament with BO1 system which doesn't proove who is the real best team (sorry for my english)

Yeah Blast is a bit dumb. The BO1s, the fact that ther ARE NO OVERTIMES (ffs Navi could have won the tournament) It really is hard to say that the winner of Blast was the best there because of the shitty format.

T1s shouldn't be expected to CONVINCINGLY beat T2. In terms of pure raw talent, there's not that big of a gap. They should definitely be beating T3 and lower teams but people are acting like T2 teams are bad or something.

But who is T2? There's probably a little bridge in between T1 and T2 of a few teams but aside from that you'd expect say, NaVi, Astralis, G2, fnatic to all beat for example Heroic.

T1 is Top 5 teams at any given point. T2 average would probably be in the #6-13 range. T3 is #13-20ish T4 is low 20s to mid 30s Lower than that is a wash.
2019-11-07 17:32
t S-top 3 consistent teams t 1- other top 7-8 teams t 2- other top 16 teams and it goes on. tbf ratings are very volatile so thats why I said consistent. Also it depends. At other times the no of teams change.. I think 3 teams are at tS level, 5-6 at t1 level,....

Tier 1: astralis,eg,team liquid, vitality Tier 2: fnatic,faze,furia,mouz,g2,navi,nip,100t Tier 3: mibr, avangar, ence, crazy, heroic, north So how i rank tiers T1 are the most consistent teams in making semis and finals(before you talk about vita they were consistent semis-finals team untill the major where they got legend status hltv.org/ranking/teams/2019/november/4/d.. ) *fnatic is a team on the rise Tier 2 are the teams that win A tier events and ocassionally make an upset on A++ and S tier events making deep runs etc Tier 3 teams are the teams that mostly attend worse events (DH opens, V4 etc.) They can uphold and beat t2 teams and can suprise t1 teams sometimes but they rearly make deep runs in A++ and S tier events but when they do they fall out in quarters (avangar is something between an t2 and t3 team they had an excent year but after blast they were silent mostly)

Also i think its not a bad thing when someone says that a team is tier 3 or 2 or 5, not everyone can be the best in the world thats why t1 teams win large sums of prize money and t2 3 4 5 teams dont they just arent there yet mentally, structurally, mby skillwise they need a tweek here and there. I dont want to offend fans of teams, i also think big is gonna be good next year

putting the on the same level as the tier 2 teams is a disgrace but they are not quite tier 1 yet. they can perform vs tier 1 and will beat tier 2 consistently

Nip and furia can both lose to g2 anyday of the week and mouz aswell hltv.org/matches/2337124/nip-vs-g2-stars.. Problem with g2-nip matchup is they have a similar Map pool and g2 is more talented
2019-11-07 19:05
g2 is also extremely hit or miss rn, in a month or 2 they can definitely be tier 1.5 but for now we should wait for them to play more events
2019-11-07 19:07
Tier 1 only teams that in form and can win events at this period Tier 2 Teams that are strong enough to upset an event even tho it is very rare Tier 3 Teams that never wins anything

I have a different interpretation, Tier 1: Teams consistently in big tournaments, Astralis, EG, Fnatic, Liquid and Vita are the top, others like faze and NiP after that Tier 2: Teams that are occasionally in big tournaments, like forze, north and big at the top, MDL EU playoffs also challenge for these spots Tier 3: All MDL teams, including teams that don't play the league like Giants, Nordavind and CPHF Tier 4: Advanced teams excluding top 6, teams that play tourneys like ESL nationals and Winners League like Cream, GameAgents, etc Tier 5: ESEA main scurbs and lower

T1 = Top 15 T2 = with you on rest
2019-11-07 18:33
Tier 1 = All the top 12 till NAVI Tier 2 = Rest of the top with more than 100 points (you can't consider HAVU or Sharks a t2 team, all of them with less than 100 points are onliners basically)
