I don't know what you mean by this but couple of points:
nordic countries (often called socialists) are in the top20 in the list of "economic freedom" (they respect private property, have low regulations for entrepreneurship, etc).
and countries that are socialdemocratic are the countries with lowest GDP growth per year (european countries). Those countries first grew their GDP with low taxes and then made socialist approachments, because socialist ideas eat your capital. You can't be a socialist country without FIRST being developed.
