Bro, India's homelessness and poverty level is pretty bad, worse than the U.S. Not that you deny this fact, but the cast system in India encourages separation of povery, normal people, and the rich.
Its unfair to compare a country with over 300 million people (U.S.) to some fuck wit country with a population of 4 million. Of course a smaller country will be able to deal with their internal mess a lot more efficiently than a country like the U.S could.
You also mentioned that homelessness in the satets is attributed to normal people who couldnt pay rent/loan/loss of their job, however that is not the case for all. Matter of fact, majority of homelessness can be attributed to drug abuse (worst amongst any first world nation, I;; admit that) and lack of individual responsibility. Pure laziness most times is the reason as well.
