USA's weath is impressive?

You can hate on USA all you want but you have to admit one thing: a country of 325 million people with a GDP per capita at $58.000 is REALLY damn impressive.

Real Chinese food is the best. Fried rice with some ground pork and black bean sauce. And some mala. Very yummy. But in terms of American food, I haven’t been to KFC in over 5 years. Good pizza is probably my favorite American food. Lamb chops are amazing too.

what’s your definition of good pizza, besides not being corporate owned
2019-11-13 03:13
Personally, if the crust is too thick it’s bad for me, but if it’s only crunchy I don’t like it much. My biggest pet peeve is when pizza is overloaded with cheese. Should be a good balance. I like mozzarella cheese on pizza (Ik im fancy). And specifically I like spicy pizza with some meat. My favorite pizza is a chili pepperoni pizza.

You know the farming of plants is just as bad, right?
2019-11-13 02:16
First off, I just commented this for a laugh, I don’t actually think we should get rid of all cattle. Second, although plants also have an effect on the climate, livestock contributes close to 30-40% of methane emissions ( I think I remember this) and methane is 84-86 times more potent of a greenhouse gas than CO2. Lastly, even though fertilizing and other things that go into plant agriculture can have negative impacts on the environment, plants consume CO2. Conclusion, cows are worse, and burgers aren’t even that good so...

The United States for all it's quirks and criminal Executive is the best run big country in the world. But what a lot of people don't realize is that states individually are responsible for a lot of it. Like most places it absolutely matters where you are in the US.

United States jay_320
See this is a classic example of someone misunderstanding how the US works fundamentally. He thinks I'm talking about the "state". If the US government had approached your father over a parking citation it would have been the FBI. I'm talking about states. You know the 50 places on our flag? Each with it's own executive, courts and legislature? Each with it's own outlook. Each with different types of industry. Each with it's own set of cops. ETC ETC
2019-11-12 00:39
Well the federal system obviously has its benefits, but you can’t deny that the states having different laws can be difficult, especially about criminal activity. Like legalization of marijuana. Furthermore some states are so egregiously gerrymandered that the government isn’t effective at representing the will of the people. (This at the level of national and state elections)

The thing about the US is that the police force isn't under one control but instead under multiple based on State, Town, County, etc so some police officers are more aggressive no matter where they are because say they're used to dealing with more aggressive people while other departments are more friendly due to it being a small but wealthy community.

Listen, I'm not going to run in circles with you over terms. You mentioned Marxism, communism, etc are all forms of being far left, but "far left," in political terms is also categorized into two sub groups, radical and extreme. I never claimed that the United States was ever extremely left. NOT at all.

To my original point, "U.S. has a huge population, and radical left thinking has destroyed the core of this country. Imagine if majority of the U.S. work force and society was like that of Germany, Japan, or even South Korea. We'd double our fucking GDP in a heart beat." So are you going to explain to me what Germany's work ethic/culture is like? Maybe I shouldn't have thrown Germany in there, but thing I am aware about them is that they are very innovative and use their brains. That was really the point of using them in my argument.

Again they are NOT "liberals," they are leftist. And there is a big difference. The "left," in todays politics have appropriated the term "liberal," so effectively that people like you think they're synonymous. Those states have LEFTIST running the government.

Youre right it actually doesnt mean anything, because all of it falls under the FAR LEFT umbrella.
2019-11-13 02:40
Far-left politics are political views located further on the left of the left-right spectrum than the standard political left. The term has been used to describe ideologies such as: communism, anarchism, anarcho-communism, left-communism, anarcho-syndicalism, Marxism–Leninism, Trotskyism, and Maoism. Which one was It again?

You really need to google or peep up your research on what the left has done to the sate of California. Even at the local municipal level, cities such as LA and San Francisco are in ruins and are dealing with huge illegal immigration and homeless problem. In return crime rates have skyrocketed, taxes are extraordinarily high and keeps getting higher, and the social safety net keep getting bigger on borrowed or NO money at all.

America wasn't in Vietnam to quell "communism" itself you cuck. It was a proxy war against Soviet Union and China, it was a control over economic and political influence in the world. A lot of govt. programs in the 60s and 70s were subsidizes but not at the scale in which Obama implemented it. Even modern social safety net programs like social security is unsustainable

Did it? By the time slavery was abolished in 1860, was the USA considered ‘wealthy?’ Slaves did build much of anything here anyway. They were used as farm labor, for large plantations specifically. If anything, you can say they ‘fed’ America, I guess. ‘Building’ is a stretch.

2019-11-12 00:14
And 23 trillion in debt.
2019-11-12 00:27
debt is just a bunch of numbers. we print it by ourselves.
2019-11-13 02:05
No... those numbers actually tells how bad the nation is and how much its falling apart. how much their politics fails.. So much many. yet so much debt.. so much debt its infact out doing the income.. So many living on the streats and in poverty. so many living without water, power and other matters that should be a human right. So much money, but only for the few. Its not impressive to make so much money and litterly get nothing for them, other than destruction and hurt.. 10 miles can mean anything in the US. from extreme wealth. to living in a slum with no water, death and a school even africa would say no to.. its not just the fact so many americans suffer that is the issue.. What is the real issue is those numbers.. GDP per capita at $58.000.. ( just taken your number here)... yet having a nation that is falling apart.. a nation living a lie, and not seeing it crumble.. Its a disaster.. and the only thing impressive is how they can F it up so bad with so much wealth.. How do they not scream for a change in politics instead of the same over and over.. its beyond stupid.
2019-11-12 00:28
Lowest unemployment rate is decades. Things are progressing.
2019-11-12 00:31
hahah.. good one... If that is what you see from everything you could know if you gained the information... i feel for ya..
2019-11-12 00:33
People having jobs is what will bring in money boosting the economy, contributions and stability. Also helping to reduce crime rates.
2019-11-12 00:36
But it will never fix the issue... Issue is not jobs.. its not they need money.. the US is not a democracy. its a republic.. its build to be more for some. less for others.. and that has over the years turned super bad. where a few have gained everything. and they make the news and the policy. they make all those things many americans say.. Socialism bad.. painting all that is different in one way. ( and not just that.. but many things ) and americans eat it, even though it hurts them. just sell it as american.. patriotic.. they will fight for it even though it help those few take away from the masses... The us could have so many things fixed.. but to have it fix would not help those that turn the scews..

Debt is really irrelevant in this conversation, considering every country today, including yours is controlled by a respective central bank. Rid the country of a central bank that creates nothing but perpetual debt and fiat currency, the healthier the economy and well being of that country will be.
2019-11-12 01:25
Controlled debt is good. true,. even nations that could be debt free chooses to have some debt.. The word is controlled.. the US have no control over their debt. it however control them.. Its no longer a choice. not... healthy debt.. And there is massive difference in debt. and how it works. and when its actually usefull and not.. Just saying all debt its the same or irrelevant is the irrelevant. And still dont change all of the other issues.. besides the debt.

Hahhahah don't stare blind at the numbers. Because you have to realize that USA is probably the country that has most "filthy rich" people in the world. And just 1 filthy rich guy or girl is carrying up the BNP per capita for atleast 100-500k people in some cases more and some less. If you use your eyes and brain for 1 sec and compare out northern countries to USA. In Scandinavia we go to work, get paid 2k+ euro for 1 month no matter education and we barely even move a muscle on 50% of the jobs. In USA you get what? 5-11$ per hour and work your ass off? Nah dude it's not compareable since we have alot better standards and overall alot higher quality of life.

The difference is that a lot of European countries have positive investment/debt ratios that effectively cancel out their debt, while the US owes $9 Trillion more than it has invested internationally. (External debt) The public debt in most eu countries is also a lot lower compared to their respective GDPs than than the American public debt.

Wrong, most EU countries are in total debt and their currency is funneled by central banks leaving them in perpetual debt.
2019-11-13 08:04
Relative to their GDP, the US has roughly 50% of its GDP in debt that isn’t canceled out by ROI from investments, the eurozone is at something like 10% Not relative to GDP, Eurozone countries owe $600B more than they are owed, the US owes $9 Trillion more than it is owed. Practically the same, right?

You dont seem to get the point. Yes, the U.S. is in trillions of debt, but when you account for the interest owed to these central banks, its actually more than 9 trillion. Try 60 trillion, same goes for the EU. Just because our debt ratio seems worse on paper compared to other EU countries, it doesnt mean those countries arent worse off than the U.S. Think in relative terms.

Any country that acts on that debt hurts itself more than the us (as the us is essentially the medium of all global monetary trade), meaning when the us economy collapses, the entire worlds economy does too (I.e the Great Depression, and somewhat in the 2008 Housing market crash)
2019-11-13 09:09
That was back then .... if usa colapses the worst thing is usa ppl starving to death by milions .

My fellow Scandinavians, you guys do realize that all The Scandinavian countries have more debt pr Capita than The States ? - With Denmark being The country with lowest debt ? I wont even mention The rest of EU ...
2019-11-13 03:41
Except for the fact that they own more debt in other countries than they owe, effectively more than canceling out their massive debts. Sweden invests $86B more than it owes, Denmark invests $160B more, Norway invests $700B more and Finland invests $18B more. The US meanwhile, Owes $9 Trillion more than it invests.

You can say, but when you go deep things are not so rosy. You will hardly find any homeless, beggers in relatively less wealthy countries in Europe, other parts of the world. But USA is full of them. Many of those homeless are normal people who couldn't pay loan or lost job. Over there everything is about competition and beating others to success so this means while one wins, many others lose. This is not what we human as a race are supposed to do. It is expected of us to create a society where at least the basic needs of everyone are met. If someone is dying of a disease, do you leave him as such until he pays to save his life? I know not every country has free health service but in USA you are fucked if you ever got seriously ill, even if you are insured. A really good article on this issue: statnews.com/2018/07/10/reducing-health-.. Quote from the article "Each of these hospitals shares a deep commitment to the idea that health care is a human right. That commitment starts at the top of the organizations, with the founders, and runs throughout the whole, putting the poor and uninsured at the center of the enterprise."

Bro, India's homelessness and poverty level is pretty bad, worse than the U.S. Not that you deny this fact, but the cast system in India encourages separation of povery, normal people, and the rich. Its unfair to compare a country with over 300 million people (U.S.) to some fuck wit country with a population of 4 million. Of course a smaller country will be able to deal with their internal mess a lot more efficiently than a country like the U.S could. You also mentioned that homelessness in the satets is attributed to normal people who couldnt pay rent/loan/loss of their job, however that is not the case for all. Matter of fact, majority of homelessness can be attributed to drug abuse (worst amongst any first world nation, I;; admit that) and lack of individual responsibility. Pure laziness most times is the reason as well.

50% debt to gdp ratio for the Netherlands 105% debt to gdp ratio for US
2019-11-13 18:32
First of all. The US economy is incredibly top heavy, with the richest 1% of any western country, which skews the GDP. Secondly. America is mostly rich due to the insane gift it got, which is tons of arable land and weak neighbours, which allowed it to focus on itslef rather than conflicts with equally strong neighbouring countries. Third: The US wasn’t destroyed in the 20th century like most of Europe because of the geography I mentioned above.

1. The U.S. is rich due to the early industrial boom and its ingenueity. Furthermore, were rich now because the dollar is the world reserve currency and other countries must purchase our dollar in order to buy its oil. Not to mention, silicon valley, hollywood entertainment, and all of the other shit that we export to other countries. 2. Yea, thas funny considering the U.S. was just an auxillary population of Europe during the 17th and 18th centuries, until we finally kicked their stupid politics and ASSES out of here. Maybe if Europe wasn't wasting its time warring with each other over stupid pagan and church beliefs, they would have found early success like the U.S. did 3. Has nothing to do with anything. The U.S. wasn't even a world power until after WW1. We didn't have a homoegenous popuation like most European countries and our economy was nearly based off of slave labor. The other half was still discovering the remaining part of the country (West America.) Immigratation and asimilation into American culture gave us our true strength buddy.
2019-11-15 18:36
1. Only happened due to said arable land which encouraged people to move to America. 2. Enabled by the fact that the US got the lion’s share of the arable land in North America, and was therefore stronger than its enemies and took them down early. Not to mention it didn’t have many neighbours in the first place. 3. Enabled by the fact that getting food isn’t a struggle in such a massive country with tons of arable land and a massive mississippi river to transport said food. The US would be a hugely successful country no matter what, except if it was run by fucking Mao. The region it is is what made it destined to do good eventually, no matter who ruled it (but a western, modeen culture certainly helped)

1. Wrong, nearly all came here to escape religious persecutions from Europe during that time. Furthermore, the next wave of immigrants came because of the industrial revolution. The U.S. population during the 1800s was a whopping 6 million people. England and France's population together was about 100 million. All that arable land bro 2. Has nothing to do with farm-able land, as half of the land wasn't even being used for agriculture. Yes Americans stole the land from the Native Americans as well as from the Mexican and Spanish, but taking over all this inhabited land didn't make it "Powerful." Principal of individual freedom led to a strong encouragement of innovation which resulted in America's prosperity. 3. If you didn't know already, 40 percent of the America was already inhabited by the French and Spanish before the 1800's. It didn't make neither of these empires a super power. Your argument of "gifted" land and resources can be applied to Canada and Russia as well, but those two countries aren't nearly as rich or powerful as the U.S.

"The region it is what made it designed to do good eventually, no matter whole ruled it." Cool story bud, so why didn't the Native American tribes take advantage of this land and become a world power. They were here thousands of years prior to the first arrival of the Europeans. What about the Spanish which ruled everything west of New Mexico and the French who in their own perception, sold us a whole lot of swampy, arid, and unfarmable land?
2019-11-16 19:03
Maybe because they didn’t have a culture that promotef agriculture as a primary food source.

doesn't matter because half of the wealth is in 1% of the country so the average american leads a basically worse life than a european, median income is $20k.
2019-11-13 17:05
The wealth distribution is pretty disgusting though.
2019-11-13 22:53
Impressive in terms of average indeed Cause the richest people in the world live there Europe is by far a better place to live for the 99% of the population who aren't rich
