2019-11-13 23:43
i also have merc 2012 and i can say that it has 0 problems, i also have a6 from 2004 which is total crap all the time broke, also have mini which is rly reliable cuz the toyota engine and not so many electronics. for example s class from 2004 is same shiet as my a6 all the time broke cuz tons of miles and etc

it depends, mileage, what type of abuse u give the car. but for most part, if it breaks, and it will break, its a money pit. yea no shit an audi is breaking on you lol mini's aint that bad. have a friend who has one, the only that broke until now was the injector rail, other than that is mint. his audi on the other hand, some eletric problems, mostly due to germans over engineering.

99' cant rly have problems nothing special about them. CooperS suprisingly no problems, they tend to have plenty of, golf4 also nothing special to be broken, gti on other hand are also problematic because of these engines, same as the coopers they are dirct injection

i dont know, people that had them always said bad things. if it was cheaper to fix maybe, but a bmw is a brand for rich people, like it or not, just like mercedes. and sometimes the only thing they are rich with is problems. cant talk about what i never had so, yea... but either way, ngl, e36 is my favorite line of them bimmers. rwd, with their i6, is very nice and popular car for drift begginers. i have a friend who has a e36 coupe 328i, 190hp, it drinks more than a horse, but sure thing is beautiful

heres something else i found Mercedes’ reputation took a hit during the 1990s. Broadly speaking, the brand’s cars took a step back in terms of build quality and reliability. They felt less solid than their predecessors, they suffered from more serious rust problems (in an era when most auto-makers were making progress in rust-proofing) and they were sometimes plagued by shoddy electronics. Its 3.5-liter turbodiesel engine had a monstrous appetite for connecting rods; the original A-Class nearly became the Chevrolet Corvair of the 1990s. Mercedes nonetheless kept innovating and side airbags joined the E-Class’ list of options in 1995. Historians attribute the hiccup to decision-makers getting caught off-guard by Japanese luxury brands like Lexus, Infiniti and Acura. They reduced development and production costs to stay competitive, especially on the lucrative American market, while simultaneously building cars with an ever-increasing level of expensive and complex electronic functions. Merging with Chrysler in 1998 ate up a tremendous amount of resources, too. The W211 E-Class of 2002 was plagued with problems, but Mercedes ruthlessly focused on them when launching the the face-lifted version in 2006 and, for the most part, has been flying high since. autocar.co.uk/slideshow/glory-days-magni..

yeah my dad with megane 3 1.5 dci (110hp, after 110hp they get particles filter and thats horrible for cars) he goes from switzerland to portugal with 150€ less ... at speeds of 180KM/h mostly 6l/100 in normal speeds he does 4l/100 its 1900km and he still get alot of KM during the vaction cuz he fills it at the max in spain cuz of how cheap it is in spain 1.20€/l my brother got a Clio 2 Extreme DCI 1.5 82cv with 400.000km (i bought the same car with 200.000 but i decided to buy a new engine cuz the previous owner did alot of shit modifications on his car to save money, i bought the engine for 500€ + 200€ of new parts to put on the engine before

Oh because of my Flag I must like American vehicles? Couldn’t be farther from the truth, they make absolute dog shit vehicles collectively. For the most part the best brands are Toyota, Honda, VW, and Mercedes. Everything else is quite mediocre. But I used to be a diesel mechanic who am I to talk.
2019-11-14 02:14
Well - you made a post that suggested it was wrong people mostly pick European cars. So the assumption was hard not to make. Sorry. In fact I think the question should perhaps more on what people think makes a good car and maybe what disqualifies a car from being seen as good. For me personally a good car is one that offers reliability, a good compromise between fun and practicality, good looks and a price where you get good value for money. My personal pick is Mazda, which is also what I gave as my choice some posts earlier.

Of course I can only base this on my own experiences but I think in general Ford makes very reliable cars, and so do volvo and Mazda. My cars in the past 6 years (company cars) 2014-2016 - Volvo V40 D4 (best car I ever had - ZERO problems and driven 120 000 km in 2 years) 2016-2019 - VW Tiguan R-line AWD (190bhp) - Very nice car to look at but constantly refilling of "something, if it wasnt Adblue it was window washer fluid or diesel and a lot of prompts on the TFT screen on it with annoying high pitched sounds... 2019- to date - Volvo V60 T5 - a lot of software bugs, engine overheating but overall a very fun car to drive and the interior and infotainment is very sleak! Private cars: 2017-up to date - Ford Mustang GT Fast back - very fun car, zero problems and VERY nice infotainment system - best in business IMO! 2017-up to date - Mazda CX-5 (bought for my wife), extremely reliable car, ZERO problems and takes her everywhere in any kind of weather, very nice interior and drives very smooth. Perfect car for the wife! You can also look at: cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/best-car-bra..

Definitely the best car brand. I guess you misunderstood me and had thoughts about off-roading which I didn't imply.
2019-11-14 16:58
overpriced ugly cars unstable SUV BMW and AUDI are way better in almost every way The only good thing about Mercedes is the 100k to 200k S and E class the limousine class , comfort cars, and maybe the 6x6 car which we dont even affort to watch it

Read the topic name again, it's not "the most reliable cost to value car brand".
2019-11-14 22:01
it says best car and mercedes is not even close ffs And to be a best brand dont you need to be an all rounder?
2019-11-14 22:12
Mazda now just ripped the market with their new engines... sky active is the best engine ever made for normal people (not millionaires)
