Finland's upcoming scene
Finland aqua_rius
Hear me out on this. In my opinion, Finland will be one of the leading esports countries in the world, in terms of raw talent. And here's why. We have not one, but 2 national leagues teams can practice in. Telia Esports Series is the biggest in Finland, with the 1st season won by ENCE and the 2nd season by HAVU. Finnish teams have multiple opportunities to train with each other and to find international opponents. We have S-FPL, Finland's own FPL-circuit with winners taking 2 spots in FPL-C qualifiers. Multiple young talents are starting to show potential due to this system. We have a positive mindset about esports in general, and the public wants success, thus creating passion. Finland is not great in only CS:GO, but also in Dota 2 (Topson, JeraX, Matumbaman), R6S (Kantoraketti for example) and Rocket League. Our government is also supportive towards esports and the mandatory military service is possible to serve in a sports academy, still being able to focus on your game. I strongly believe that Finland's CS scene will also come to fruition in the coming year or 2. SJ, HAVU, KOVA, HREDS and ENCE are all capable of reaching international tournaments, and will have multiple young talents to pick up soon. What does your country do for your esports scene? Cheers lads
