well valve need to get as much money as they can before project A kills csgo
2019-11-20 17:41
No they are trying to make csgo esport profitable and therefore bring incitements for orgs and sponsors to get into the scene

Why franchise then? Most of the top20 teams cant afford buyout really.
2019-11-20 17:29
The prospect of franchising will bring in a lot of sponsors and investors, that's the whole point of franchising. Long term stability to ensure long term sponshorships

But it will kill tier2 scene completly and actual new players will never get to play cuz of veterans who will sit 10 years in one team

It is already 99% confirmed that an NA franchised league is being created, and will open in 2020
2019-11-20 17:32
could that mean MLG's return to csgo ? (o_o')
2019-11-20 18:01
isn't it buy in instead of buy out?

Franchise is bad idea, everyone wants to see rookies in major vs big names of the scene, with franchise no more hype, personally i wouldn't see.
2019-11-20 17:43
Yeah and not to mention it would destroy so many local scenes

yeah As much as I love NFL and NBA they are not the best way in my opinion even though they are great. I believe the divisions kind of tournment is much more enjoyable, like we have in real football. DIV 1 - TOP 1 CHAMPION , BOTTOM 2 RELEGATED TO DIV 2 DIV 2 - TOP 2 PROMOTED TO DIV 1 , BOTTOM 2 RELEGATED TO DIV 3 and so on... Having as many divisions as possible in a structured format would be awesome.

2M buy in.... holy shit. Good idea in the sense of bringing a lot of big sponsors to a potential league but that buy in seems excesive if you ask me. I don't think that there are that many teams that can pay up to 2M
