they really dont. really. no tournaments force players to use new gear. while some have million dollar prize pool. very strange. my bet is that tournament orgs dont want to find out who is cheating. they are making money. its not their problem. that is of course farfetched, but theres really no other theory i can come up with why they wouldnt take this basic anti cheat measure, that is very common for other games, like mobas. it only makes sense if they know that people are cheating. if anyone has a better idea, id love to hear it.

so, they can afford to have a million on prize pool, which they pay out in full, but they dont make any money? i dont buy that. TO's are also famous for money laundering and tax evasion
2019-11-29 10:57
This is just what they file and claim publicly. Businesses always have clever ways to hide profits so they save on taxes. I know a women locally who has had her own businesses for the past 5 years and drives a brand new BMW SUV, goes on lots of expensive vacations, is constantly spending loads of money, and she claims she made no money the first 3 years she was in business. Though during that time she was spending on herself luxuriously. These orgs are paying the top casters to where they are making 6 figures a year. Go to the YouTube channel Lets Go Racing and look at the toys Sadokist has been able to purchase for himself. If they can afford to pay casters that much then certainly they are paying themselves more. No one goes into business to lose money, and the moment that business shows a loss, it goes out of business shortly after, unless profits begin to manifest. It's like LG, Sony, and other companies claiming they lose money every year in certain markets. Sure they do, because it makes sense to keep a department open that shows a loss of over 100 million a year for 6 years in a row. It's all a scam. These companies aren't putting on lans to lose money. They may claim so, but don't believe it.

okay so why didnt u bring that up in the previous post
2019-12-01 15:21
My personal theory is almost all the tier 1 and 2 scene was cheating back in 2014-2016 and everyone knew it so no one could really come out and say anything because their team also had a cheater or two on it. Those with power were scared to crack down on it because it would have brought down so many respected and famous players that those making money off the game feared it would ruin it completely if it was exposed. So they decided to turn a blind eye to it and pretend all is well. Now players know they can get away with it.
2019-11-29 12:55
8 replies
yeah but then they could still have slowly beefed up on anti cheat measures like not letting players bring their own gear and not putting the PCs on stage but below it, so players cant plug in usb drives or phones. also setting up the OS so that players cant alt tab out of the game and not letting them anywhere near the computers before they start warming up on stage. LAN is a controlled environment where it should be hard to get your own code on the system, let alone run it. but they arent treating it as such. i dont think many players would dare to boycott an event if they announced better security measures like this that cant impact players performance. well i guess it would suck a bit for some players if they are using a discontinued mouse model. but they have a problem anyway because that thing will break eventually so if every pro had to use a mouse that was currently in production it wouldnt be that bad imo. small sacrifice to make to make sure that no one is on the gear. its kind of impossible to guarantee that if people can bring electronic equipment from home that they did god knows what with.
2019-11-29 13:08
7 replies
All great ideas that should have been implemented long ago. I personally think players should not be able to bring any of their own gear and all personal devices must be left in a locker or somewhere away from them and the device off. It wouldn't be hard for the teams to purchase their players hardware for them and ship it straight to the orgs, and the players themselves never get to touch them except in game. Before and after the games all the players hardware stays in possession of the lan admins. Simple little precautions and rules such as these could ensure the integrity of the game.
2019-11-29 13:14

but not doing any of this stuff is actually not good for their profit margin, the game would probably get more investment into tournaments if there were some of these measures. it doesnt make sense even if i assume they dont want to find out that players cheat

Windows Defender found a suspicious file and linked to where the cheat was, the admin then saw suspicious files with his EYES NOT AN ANTICHEAT. HE WAS NEVER BANNED BY AN ANTICHEAT, they claimed the anticheat detected something earlier and they ignored it because he lost the game. THIS IS ALL BULLSHIT AND LIES to coverup that forsaken WON a 100k LAN with this same cheat. Nothing new has been done to counteract cheating since then

Drama? They named and shamed a no namer from a no named scene a perfect PR opportunity to claim "we are on top of it". All the tier 1 players who have had obvious locks just magically stopped locking. Either the cheats are smarter or the tournament leagues and organisations deal with the issue in house as banning a tier one player will destroy the business.
2019-11-29 11:03
To check a mouse/keyboard properly, you will have to physically open up the item to access the onboard chip directly. I have yet to hear about this happen at a tourney. It's very time consuming. Best solution is still tourney supplied peripherals, brand and type submitted by player before the event.

lol.....aimlock makes no sense 1. hes just doing proper crosshair placement 2. its 1v5 saving 3. if he was hacking in this situation a aimkey through wall on second closest enemy and not closest enemy makes no sense 4. only hack worth having / using in this situation is a sound ping when cross hair is on enemies through walls.

1. his crosshair placement is awful in this situation, he is checking neither under nor outside, his crosshair is in the middle of nowhere, on some random spot on the wall which exactly matches stewie's neck 2. the fact he is saving does not affect the need of enemy players position info 3. no, it aimed to the closest enemy, everything is fine. he was aiming himself on the left from the enemy and then the crosshair moved to the closest one when he pressed the aimlock key, who was stewie. 4. i dont understand what is a sound ping sorry

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH dude u are literally lying telling me this when your logic doesnt even come close to the rank. Dude tell me one player in the top fking 50 people in csgo pros that hasnt fking done this dude its called a coincidence this happens dude its not aimlock. If it is dude needs to find a better version cause it locks on a target futher away then other enemies. U are not high ranked even if you think so ok, go and learn some csgo smokes in your gold nova games
2019-11-29 10:28

it does happen to all top 50 players because they all use aimbot. its just a simple aimbot that puts their crosshair on the enemy through the walls for info. if i watch any csgo game streamed, i see this happen 10-15 times that game. on stream you are only watching 1/10 players pov at a time so actual amount of locks is 10x higher. especially guys like tarik, stewie2k, other supposedly "good" NA players, and brazilians, and fnatic, are just the worst. i could download the demo for this game and probably show you tarik had like 20 of those lockons through the map in 1 game. or, you could watch the demo yourself, before saying he isnt cheating, you lazy dumbfuck.

What? Nobody mentioned GuardiaN in this thread soo far, including me, I just said that somebody could have a completely opposite way of perceiving cheaters in CS GO, It doesn't mean shit, It's better to be sceptical for the entire existence instead of finding out in 5/10 or God knows how many years that bunch of PROs cheated, and aimlock doesn't have to be used for killing at all, ppl might use it only to get the info, for example, If Tarik was cheating in this clip then he primarly did it to get the info where the enemies are, not to get the kill.

I don't take suggestions from the mentally ill. Your right though he's cheating in front of the world. First player to make small movements with his mouse. Doesn't even lock on the 2nd guy but let's pretend it does. Best time to turn your aimlock on is when your last alive when everyone is watching you and you can't win the round because your saving in a 1v5. That's my fav time to do it.

in fact, that so few top csgo players get banned, compared to amount of players that get banned on matchmaking and faceit, or amount of players that are found cheating in literally any other sport on the planet, probably means that there are more cheaters in csgo. because they arent getting banned. people cheat, thats a universal constant.

Yeah they have. Forcing the draw distance sometimes creates "ghost" players, players that are not actually there anymore, but it still works most of the time.
2019-11-29 10:42
clearly there are ways around that or we wouldnt be seeing lots of players suddenly flicking into walls and tracking players on the other side of the map, because those players would not be loaded. but thats what i see 10 times at least every game i watch.

silver thread
2019-11-29 11:02
Looks like coincidence to me. Btw, I don't get how the fuck they can be pro and be like level 11 on face it and I'm a sad LEM, when their crosshair placement is so awful most of the times. Door is open and instead of tracking both sides or under, he keeps moving the mouse with several "random" strokes. Not just Tarik, all of them keep doing this all the time and it's like, I don't get it. If you think someone could appear from those spots, the least you can do is do a little pre aim not moving the wrist randomly, specially here where the spot to track is small because of the door.

yes there are a lot of stupid plays from them but it makes it even more suspicious when you see clips with some kind of locks

" I don't get how the fuck they can be pro and be like level 11 on face it and I'm a sad LEM, when their crosshair placement is so awful most of the times. Door is open and instead of tracking both sides or under, he keeps moving the mouse with several "random" strokes. " well, youre in LEM because you probably dont cheat. thats about as high as you can get without aim or walls or friends with aim or walls, these days. maybe with full premade with really skilled player you can get global completely clean. but it would be hard, and if you watch demos you will see your opponents running around looking at the floor 2m in front of them and then instantly locking to head when they see an enemy. which would be very demotivating for me. the reason these players crosshair placement is awful is that they are constantly tapping their aimkey to move their crosshair in the direction of enemies through the wall. they know where they should aim. but they can get info by letting their aimbot drag their crosshair a bit in the direction of an enemy. if, as happened to tarik here, you are already aiming close to an enemy through the wall, without knowing it, before pressing aimkey, then it will lock to the player, and here he even held it so long that it already moved to the second player before he let go of the button, or he actually pressed it twice. these random strokes arent random. they use bezier curves to move towards enemies. heres a video that explains it well with an example very similar to tariks movement from the first player down towards the second player in the pit: youtube.com/watch?v=X3fK5OgSKaI4 what happens is, that the cheat remembers it moved towards the first player from the left, so when it goes to the second player, it makes a curve, starting its movement horizontally to the right, on the same line as the previous movement to the first target, and then curving down to the second target in pit. this is porbably put in so that the cheat appears to be smooth when you use it to quickly find multiple targets, like this: twitch.tv/videos/107606837?t=07h57m10s

cool but it could also be natural hand movement
2019-11-29 11:32

if it was natural movement first of all he would have actually aimed into the tunnel instead of at the head of an enemy into the wall right next to the tunnel. secondly theres no reason to move in a curve like that in that situation. straight line down would have been faster easier and more accurate. third, players who move in curves a lot usually do it consistently. not just when their crosshair is near enemies through walls but literally all the time. if you play like that, the curve is your muscle memory. here we see straight lines from tarik until his crosshair is near enemies. thats not gonna cut it for me. he needs to step up his cheating game, or i wont find his performance entertaining.

You're assuming that humans are capable of making rational and calculated decisions with 100% consistency. This is some sloppy crosshair placement from Tarik, because hes probably thinking about the next round while subconciously clearing angles. I'm also assuming here but its just as likely as your cheating assumption. Tarik has had almost no sus clips in his entire career of playing. Its a completely different situation to when flusha was playing and new clips popped up every single game. Its unfair to judge someone based on one clip.
2019-11-29 11:40

and coincidentally its only sloppy because there are enemies behind the wall close to his crosshair that his crosshair stops on its too unbelievable. it totally killed all suspense in the game and i couldnt suspend my disbelief. its like watching a bad movie.

Theres nothing unbelievable about it. I've analyzed my own demos and seen far worse. Its the quantity of sus plays that should drive your judgement. One clip alone means very little, especially when its as vague as this one. If it was Flusha or Byali I wouldn't even bother defending them.
2019-11-29 11:43
1 reply
yes ive also seen a demo from myself where i turned and lifted my mouse and it stopped on an enemy through the wall. if this happens 1 time every 10 games its believable. with guys like tarik, it happens 10 times in 1 game, and like in this case he doesnt just accidentily aim at 1 guy, he aimed at BOTH through half the map and then he played the round out with the info he got from aimbotting onto them through the wall. if you dont cheat, and you aim at a guy through a wall, you dont KNOW he is there, you dont get info from it. this is how you spot closet cheaters.
2019-11-29 11:49
tarik has had TONS of suspicious clips, he aimbots 10 times every game i watch from him, since 2016 at least. you are just not paying attention. this is just a normal game from him. nothing special. he does it all the time.

I'm agree that MM and face it/esea is full of hackers, not obvious ones as silvers, but I'm pretty sure there are more than what it looks at first sight. Not the same with pros, I'm sure that some of them are cheating because it happens everywhere and some locks are blatant, but I don't think is a common thing right now, 3-5 years ago it was so obvious, but not now. About the placement I'm referring exactly to what you say, it looks like he does the three mouse strokes watching left side door, under and right side door, but they are awful accurate, when he goes to watch under he's watching really high (exactly where someone is :\) and when he looks right he goes past the door and aims to the wall too much time until he gets to the right spot by moving the character. I mean, I'm pretty sure I do this from time to time since I do some retarded silver plays every now and then, but they are pros, he knows they are searching for him and is a common place to hide on inferno, so he should really expect someone coming from those spots, not a chill moment to be unfocused.
2019-11-29 11:49

dont forget, 3-5 years of development on the cheat, and 3-5 years of players learning how to use it, getting feedback from their team and analysts on how blatant they were, learning tricks to avoid being blatant, setting up their cheat config better and better, can go a long way to make it seem like they are cheating less, when in fact they are walking around the map, holding down a button that will simply aim at an enemy in a natural way when they become visible and then triggerbot the guy down. its more the computer playing, than the players themselves, these days. you can see that nicely in that tenz clip on overpass recently. he's just moving his crosshair from monster to short, and then the aimbot detects there is a hitbox it can hit, jerks back and wallbang headshots the dude with no info. youtube.com/watch?v=uUbyJ0YPkAE and then coincidentally this kid is benched. totally not because he was too blatant. naaaah. just like kjaerbye totally wasnt kicked from astralis because he was too blatant.

Lance Armstrong was constantly doing blood checks, done by trained medics and they found nothing until a lot of years later. You know why? It wasn't only him, most of the people who was on the top on that era was doing the same than him and they where clean from a dope point of view. They won more money than those kids, so why they risked? Because they knew there was small probabilities to get catched, and they've been found guilty years later because someone had a genius idea to do a test using new ways to do it, without this casualty, they'll be legit for the eternity. If you look closely, you'll find that those ciclysts that where on the mid table where abusing susbtances too, they don't give you god powers, just a small boost, if you don't train as hard as the first one or your genetics are not that good, you're not gonna be first even if you cheat. Your two points to back your theory of everyone being clean are retarded. Btw, I don't think all pros are cheating, but some of them could do it for sure.

If you find like 20 of these clips of him doing this in recent times then that would be suspicious but one clip means absolutely nothing and can be written off as coincidence. Enemies happen to be there on both instances.

If everyone cheat, then no one is cheating. Do you also believe the lunar landing was a conspiracy? Do you think the earth is flat? The government is full of lizard people? Because thats exactly how you sound with your supposed "proof" made by yourself. Why do you care for a game that you will never be good at? but in sport competitions you dont get hefty bans at all, usually for a season or two maybe but csgo pros are aware of that they'll get permanently suspended from competing therefore there is more risk cheating in csgo??

#49 and #186 a lot of pros are cheating and the whole industry is ok with that (also #54) forsaken was caught with a 50$ amateur cheat but no security measures had been taken since this on tournaments, pros are still allowed to use their own gear

I am not judging you for your flag. I just said youre from Russia and thats true The clip is really not suspicious, he didnt even lock on his head and if you play csgo and watch your demos you will se that sometimes everyone aims at someone through the wall even though they dont know that they are doing that.

i could be from any other country and start the same thread he did not lock on his head cuz aimbot is used mostly for info and there is no need to make it lock on the head (even on free public aimbot u could set up the part where u want it to lock) also #45

so there is no need to know where the enemies are if u are saving? u should just stay where u are and hope for the round to be over? cmon it is even worse for him that he locks when it is not necessary, if i use ur logic

and he did that for sure, but not so obvious you would never tell if he moves crosshair himself or the cheat is slowly pointing the way the enemy hides only in moments like this one but combine all of them and you will see the whole picture

Or you might be unbelievably wrong as you are here. Everyone who thinks pros are cheating is not very smart (I dont count forsaken cause he is not top tier pro)

why do u think so? if u read this whole thread you will actually understand its exactly the opposite also forsaken was playing on a $100k lan with his $50 cheat $100k is definitely not a low tier tournament
2019-11-29 14:43
I don't even care by now. So many pros were and are still utilizing on hardware based cheats that it is just utterly depressing to think about that,.

i have watched the clip several times. You do not know what you are talking about, you have less than 1k hours in csgo and do not know enough to make such a judgement especially with such weak "evidence"

Firstly Tarik is trash. If he was cheating, he's have much better stats than he does. Secondly, If you turn X-ray off, he's lining his xhair up to hold the close door angle and then moves to look underpass. He has terrible crosshair placement so has to move his mouse to correct it a lot.

he is checking neither under nor outside, his crosshair is in the middle of nowhere, on some random spot on the wall which exactly matches stewie's neck for a second and then jumps to his teammate it is not all about stats, he could be using his aimlock just for info for his teammates and nothing more
2019-11-29 16:07

The funny thing is, all of the cry babies always get the shittiest clips in history, that make no sense for him to use aimlock. Why on earth would he use aimlock on a 1vs5 situation, with a galil on second mid Inferno... It makes no sense at all. I do believe some of them did cheat back in the day (not 100% sure), but they are also very skilled, and most of the times they only used it to get a little info, a little advantage, not on 1vs5's.
