I only did conscript part, which in denmark is 4 months these days. But basically what you do is walk around with your gear, you walk everywhere, to the range, to the place where you do anything basically. You then run around practicing flanking drills and such, setting up bases in the forest and you do a bunch of first aid stuff. Then you have 3 big events where you run a practice drill, that combines setting up bases, going on patrols and doing attacks/defending, before filling up every fucking hole you dug, to walk 20km back home, to clean your gear for 3 hours, to sleep 2 hours, go get woken up and be told your gear is dirty xd. Coolest things for me was a week we spent at a giant range, shooting moving targets and targets at ranges up to 450m (most at our range is 200m), following up this with urban combat in a small "city" made for military drills. After that me and a few others from my company was selected to go represent out Company at a national competition for conscripts, where we had to do a bunch of dumb shit like swimming through freezing water, high paced marching, shooting, navigation, strength tests etc, which we to our own surprise won so that was cool and we got to drink champaigne with the company captain.
