Failed my driving licence exam
Czech Republic Wer_
4 times 1st time i failed the test by ONE POINT 2nd time I didn't signal a turn 3rd time I yielded a right of way late 4th time I was too close to other cars in traffic It's literally impossible for me to not make a single mistake in 30 minutes of the exam, I have to pay 50 € for every repeat soon I will be broke. Few more tries and I give up and ride a fucking bicycle or go by bus instead

Its about 100% chance that guy was retarded. You have to be a boo boo to fail more than 10 and not stop. And article wasnt about me, i have my licence:p

Take the exam in some village where no one gives a fuck. If you're in the capital the instructors are tryhards.

Yeah that's actually true
2019-12-05 10:27
you failed to signal a TURN, you approach the corner and you are like "ah nothing to do here" imo you have ages to go before you pass and I wouldn't want to get in a car with you

Not sure how it is elsewhere. Where I'm from, they have their typical routes that they have you take close to the place, w/e it's called. like every city has a place where people can get their license. Maybe tiny villages won't have one, but pick a smaller town. If you go 100km away from the capital, I doubt they will make you go back. And no one checks where you actually live, I don't think at least.
2019-12-05 12:20
exams in big cities are actually easier. Wide smooth straight roads with many traffic lanes

2019-12-05 11:20

2019-12-05 12:17
imagine having to cycle at least a mile of steep hills where i live and daily.. couldnt be me stressing at 5am struggling for the sake of healthiness. just open the car window for fresh air + work out if you wanna be fit after work..
2019-12-05 13:24
If you don't enjoy your work, your way of reaching it won't make much difference but if you do love your work, some walking in the nature will make your day even better.
2019-12-05 13:46
Yea lets see you cycle 110 kilometers to see your relatives then
2019-12-05 14:02
Do you drive to them everyday silly girl?
2019-12-05 14:03
Wtf does that have to do with anything idiot? Going that distance with a bike over the weekend isn't an option regardless if you do it everyday or every other weekend
2019-12-05 14:16
Unless you drive to them every single day there are solutions, it doesn't mean that cars are all banned straight away, how can you bite each word in such a literal way, apply some thinking into it.
2019-12-05 14:19
Going by car is by far the most practical way of going that distance considering trains or buses dont travel close to it, so the options are running short And if you want an everyday example lets talk about work. No one fucking cycles 35 km to work every morning 5-6 days a week (and dont even pretend you would do it)
2019-12-05 14:28
I'd consider finding work closer to home or just take public wheels, it's still alot more beneficial than being caged in your little bubble with a motor.
2019-12-05 14:40
declining a high paying dreamjob you got because of contacts so you're not "caged in your little bubble with a motor" isn't a very good deal in my honest opinion. I get your point. Walking and cycling as much as you can instead of going by car is highly beneficial to you and the environment, but calling it idiocy is just essentially saying "I don't need a car so you don't need a car either" without knowing the other person at all
2019-12-05 15:11
It would be much worse than that but I took care and literally said "to me", look up that part once again. I'm glad you got me about it, and if it's really your dreamjob than I'm happy for you. If you could refrain from falling for insults without any reason you would achieve a lot more.

No because it's easier to drive on highways and through villages than circling around the city where theres a higher concentration of pedestrians and traffic

Ok fair point, but the mistake you make on highway have way bigger impact. But still you cant make 5 mistakes per hour of driving thats really dangerous(depend of course what mistakes). Focus man thats all about focus when you are not used to drive regulary
2019-12-05 12:18

You need to change instructor. Some of them are paid to make you fail for simple mistakes and they split the money you pay for it. My friend failed 4 times with one, then went to another and passed it first try.
2019-12-05 11:29
In Finland you have to pay 300€ for each attempt. I got it done the first time, but some of my friends failed it like 3 times. Just be glad it's only 50€ for you.

90% of drivers are terrible drivers and they’re still allowed to drive despite them being a hazard to everyone else... if you can’t pass something as easy as a driving test, then you don’t belong on the road. They should really make it 10x harder.

2019-12-05 20:51
lmao how do you make that harder? following all the signs and all the rules isn't enough?
2019-12-05 13:36
Put it this way. Most people are not good at something. Doesn't matter what it is- math, cooking, driving, etc. When you're driving, every second you put everyone around you at risk, which is sometimes a fatal risk. So why is it that the majority of the adult population is allowed to drive, despite them statistically being bad drivers for the most part? Can you imagine if a pilot's license was as easy as a driver's license? You put the same number of people in mortal danger in a 5 hour flight as you would in a 5 hour road trip. The test should just be scaled in difficulty until the pass rate is reflective of the percentage of the population that drives well. So around 15%. They should use all the money from the failures to better public transportation. Not only will that make the roads safer without all the idiots, it would also make the roads less congested and improve lots of other aspects.
2019-12-05 20:50
What exact statistic are you appealing to? Most of the people who are bad at driving just do not get the license (like the author of the thread), less part quickly lose it. I also wonder who do you manage to compare two different types of transport in the difficulty of the license exam? Just don't really fit into my head. The main part is how do you exactly make it harder? The only way I see is changing traffic rules which is stupid.
2019-12-05 21:06
There are three aspects to driving. (1) Managing to control your car (2) Following the road rules (3) Being cognisant of the hazards around you (other drivers, pedestrians, etc.) Unless you royally mess up, then, if you are driving an automatic car, then the second aspect is all you need to succeed in to pass a driving test. All that requires is you to have a half-decent memory. The third aspect is almost ignored in driving tests, and is the one that is responsible for most accidents (especially fatal ones). You should be able to manoeuvre your car well enough to succeed in various courses with various tasks to address the first aspect. You should be able to drive on the open road for an extended period of time without making a road rule error to address the second aspect. You should successfully complete a defensive driving course and be able to drive in a busy area for an extended period of time while vocalising your perception of hazards in real time and how you react to them to address the third aspect. That should constitute the driving test. And it should probably be reassessed every 5 years. That's how you make it harder and more effective. My only point regarding the flight/driving comparison is simply that you put the same number of people at risk in a 5 hour flight as you do in a 5 hour road trip. Any activity in which you put so many people in mortal danger should be far more heavily regulated than it is now.

I get failing once. Happened to me too. Some fucking tree that wasn't cut in years almost completely covered a stop sign in a fucking small town were nobody - including the police - gave a fuck. My instructor and the cunt in the back saw it, I didn't :D Twice is already kinda suspect and more is weird if you don't have some kind of insane stress levels during exams. Then it could really be that you're a shitty driver and should take more lessons or you're a danger for others and yourself.

Look, driving is not about one signal or one wrong turn. Driving is about the way you drive, the way you get along with other cars, the way ur car goes in traffic, if you are hesitant when it's about to just go and get a fluid trafic but you wait too much instead and fuck up others that means you are not ready at all, then they just force you to fuck up to get points to fail. My friend is examinator and we are hanging out a lot, if you are a good driver he won't even try to fuck you up. 1 out of 10 is worth to get the licence without bothering the rest are questionable, here comes the signal/turn shits.
2019-12-05 16:42
yeah they will kick you out for not signaling, if you are lucky and the commissar is in a good mood you might get away with something like signaling late, after all using signal lights when turning is mandatory by law and you can get fined for that. you need to prove you know the rules and are able to follow them for 30 minutes...

Seems weird that you failed for just a turn signal.Like here you just get like 3-6 points for this mistake(forgot how many exactly) and if you gather more then 21 in total you fail the exam, that means that you can make small mistakes like stalling the engine(6 points),forgetting the turn signal, not parking correctly. However there are some mistakes that cost 21 points too, like not giving the right of way,if the examiner has to intervene and stuff like that
2019-12-05 13:19
Not here lol
2019-12-05 21:24
Sounds like you'd be a danger on the roads, you need to stop making these mistakes all together not just for 30 minutes. If you forget to make a turn signal and slam into the side of a car that pulls out thinking you're just going forwards you could kill someone, an innocent maybe, a child or a baby perhaps? If you're still making these mistakes then you're not ready for your test and you need more practice. It's a good thing for the public that you failed because as it is it sounds like you'd be dangerous to be allowed on the roads unsupervised. If you're worried about the 50€ then stop booking tests when you're not ready to be tested, stop trying to "trick" the examiner that you know how to drive for 30 minutes and actually learn to drive. Once you're ready you wont make those mistakes ever because it will feel as natural as walking and you'll do all these things automatically.
2019-12-05 13:22

I passed first try with 1 minor, because I checked one of my mirrors "too quickly" (he was nitpicking). You just suck.

How do you fail a drivers licence exam ???? Let alone 4 times ? How is that even possible ! LOL
2019-12-05 13:26
I stalled the engine 3 times in my exam on a steep uphill stretch leading towards a traffic light. Still passed. You're just unlucky.
2019-12-05 13:29
stalling the engine isnt any offense like not giving the right of way to pedestrians on the crossing or signalling the turning... however, you can get kicked out for insufficient knowledge of vehicle handling, no joke, usually its 2x and then bye

Don't want to sound rude but you should probably give up on obtaining a driver's license.if you failed 4 times in a row then you are not made for driving or try again in a few years

As a person who passed driving license exam at 1st attempt, I don't really understand how can u fail that shit. I personally think that if u failed it 1st time, and didn't pass it at 2nd attempt, u should just give up, cuz u will just cause danger on road. I know few people that failed 3-6 times, and they all shouldn't ever drive, but unfortunately they think they know how to drive... So just pls do other people a favor and don't try ever again.

OMFG man you are talking like clueless fucker... I passed 3rd time and I can tell you that in the road its all about the experience , int the test itself its about how focused u are and how stressed and there is a huge gap between driving in drive lessons and driving free in the road without a tester or a teacher on your head. I have a friend that passed 6th test and now he is a good driver not causing any danger , he is safer than fcukers that were lucky like you to pass 1st test, so stfu and instead of telling him to give up just go and fuck yourself. Never give up , this license is an upgrade to the quality of ones life... Chill peace and love :)

I love how you add "chill peace and love" at the end of your reply, although few lines earlier u just assume i got lucky by passing my exam on 1st attempt, and then telling me to stfu and go fuck myself xD Or maybe you just got hurt by my post? Little kid want to cry? :)

When u write they way u do that pisses me off dude. Saying a good word and encouraging a person instead of being the one who say Im the good type youre bad just give up is much better. and if u have nothing good to say just dont say cuz u are hurting ppls.

Honestly, if u are insane driver, better than most of drivers and get stressed only because some fucker sits next to you and judges your driving skills, then u should never drive, because driving on roads can be much more stressful. If u r not immune to stress just don't bother and give up. That's what I think, u can like it or u can hate it, but don't hit me with that bullshit "never give up" and "if u have nothing good to say just dont say cuz u are hurting", not everyone can drive cars, just as not everyone can be a game developer or not everyone can be a pilot, if he can't cope with someone judging his driving skill then stop forcing yourself, life ain't all fairy tales...

2019-12-06 09:10
I failed once as well right at the end of my exam because of stupid pedestrians. Then I did it the second time with one minor mistake and that was driving with one hand at some moments. Don't worry, you will get gud eventually and then drift with a BMW in the snow.
