Japanese CS

Was talking in a previous thread of mine and had a thought. Do you think a team like Absolute if they were to receive proper funding and move from Japan to EU or NA could get meaningful results? They've had very good results as of late and despite being from Japan they stand higher on the pedestal then most other Asian teams.

Japan dont have that type of gaming culture, meaning the scene is extremly small.

Majority of your populationen live with poverty salaries or on the streets. So the top 1% can get even richer and control all the elections. A child born in Sweden has equal shot at studies, healthcare, a good life in Sweden. In USA.. Are you born poor ur basically fucked. GOAT country of brain washed people that think they live in a democracy.

Your army is basically a private army to protect the intrests of rich people. And they are so good at brain washing you from early age that you acctually think that you are making a difference and should be proud to die in the oil army.

"They've had very good results as of lat" Like what? anyway a team of a non existent scene will always have troubles without a player pool

top 4 out of 3?
2019-12-05 22:14
they got battered by vici and vici is not even close to being a top 30 team "could they get meaningful results? Define meaningful results, because I don't see this team even getting in a non-asian event.

VICI might not be top 30 but they are in the top 3 for Asian csgo teams easily. Kaze aint an easy opponent for anyone.
2019-12-05 22:39
Japan will never be as impactful in esports like Korea or China imo, you can see that the same is happening in for example LoL, just no relevant teams in the top scene whatsoever.

Everything needs to be put into perspective and for a Japanese team to accomplish what they are doing right now its pretty impressive. Not saying in their current state they could take on top 30 teams and consistently perform but their series against Grayhound shows hope that they could be more.

that concerns the scene itself which is obviously stone cold dead but Absolute exists as an anomaly in that

Too busy playing Fighting games and RPGs to care about CS. I wish there was a bigger scene in Japan, but it won't happen unless there is some sort of FPS renaissance,

Now that MVP PK basically destroyed themselves (😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭), there is definitely a void that could be filled by a team like Absolute. In general, I think that the biggest thing that’s holding Asian teams back is the fact that they are from Asia. Should one of the teams move permanently to EU/NA, I think they could easily dominate the Asian scene after a little bit of practice.
2019-12-06 08:16
Japan has never done anything in CS. Doubtful. They would need to relocate. The Koreans have been the best at cs historically in asia, followed by the Chinese, with Japan nowhere to be seen.
