Mouz path to playoffs: 1. ATK (win) 2. Liquid (lose) 3. Renegades (win) 4. ATK (win) And now they got EG who looks like the worst of remaining teams (except mouz itself). Lucky af, lol.

Not Mouz’s fault tho
2019-12-06 03:20
Nobody says it's their fault. Apparently format is far from optimal when some team gets worst opponents and other teams have to sweat against a lot better opponents to reach same spot.
2019-12-06 03:23
Well what can Mouz do about easily ATK taking out G2 (who almost beat Astralis). Can't blame everything on "the format"...

That's just the fault with the same seeding system that put Liquid and Astralis in the same group.

ATK beating G2 messed it up.

G2 didn't take ATK seriously, overestimated themselves after match against Astralis.

Actually they threw the match away against Liquid, if they didn't give idiot rounds to them on D2 they would have won the match.
2019-12-06 03:29
Mouz has gotten fucked a lot this year with seeding too.

mouz's group was way easier than group A, they were clearly the 3-4th best team in the group but in the other group they are probably 5-7th best

Mousesport weren't lucky lol. They have played pretty good this tournament and at CAC winning it and also the one with liquid just remember they lost their own map pick 16-5 and then taking nuke against liquid 16-13 only to lose dust 2 16-14 in an unlucky round.

The only good team they faced was Liquid which isn't even in good form right now. Well, if mouz beats EG and shows decent performance against Astralis then I'll admit they're good.

2019-12-06 19:51
Why lucky ? If you check other teams they have pretty same "easy" enemy. Navi - Tyloo, MIBR Astralis - Renegades, G2 ... It seems easy because there are more bad teams than good teams :D

Their path to playoffs is the same as any other team, there is no luck here, faze faced tyloo and mibr and finally 100 thieves and still could not make it. Mouz's group had ATK, well the other group had Tyloo and Heroic so? Its not mouz fault that ATK beat North and G2, and given the way these 2 teams handed over their ass to ATK, i am sure they wouldn't have been able to take mouz either. And wtf are you talking about liquid being in weak form in an earlier comment? They are at their best form since after the falloff of this major. They were the finalists of the last tournament ECS and pretty much wrecked everyone except Astralis there. For me if mouz can be so close to beating liquid in a match of d2 that could have been theirs any other day of the week, they have proven themselves enough to be where they are. And to top it off, i did not see any team in the tournament 16-0 ing EG except mouz, say what you will, but every team has their day, mouz had the toughest seeding in the starladder major, and pretty much in every tournament they end up on the short end of the straw, only one tournament they get to face ATK twice and the wholehearted bitching starts.

Are you? With them doing what they did yesterday, your point is moot. Besides, paths doesn’t matter, the system is equal for everyone.

Since the system is equal for everyone (guess you missed that), then not really. Your point is moot. Accept it and move on
2019-12-07 17:45
Equal in theory, yes. On practice: Liquid and Astralis in the same group, equal af, yes...
