woahh just played first couple of games with benq XL2546. 240 hz and dyac i must say this is very crazy experience, every widepeek someone does on you feels smoother than toddler ass. if u play cs:go in good lvl where it goes fast... BUY BUY BUY

Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
Holy shit. When people said that the difference was "pretty noticeable" I was like "meh, probably a waste of money" Until I saw how fucking insane this shit is. 60hz feels like absolute shit now and I don't think I can ever go back. It's like playing a whole new game. If you're considering getting a 240hz, do it right now, you will not be upset.

man if ur going from 60hz even 144hz will feel like a new world, me i went from 144 hz to 240 hz and its not like a new world, but the feeling is something completely different. i never felt so in control of my spray, movement, tracking etc. amazing!

Dont buy Benq at least, their panels are old 2017 with 6bit colors. New panels have higher pixel refresh 0.5ms and true 8bit colors

benq xl2546 should be the best because of DyAc ?

2019-12-07 15:49
DyAc (fancy name for strobing) is really making a big difference in motion clarity/smoothness. I have the previous BenQ 240Hz model myself (XL2540) and I run it at 144Hz with strobing (Benq blur reduction it's called on my monitor having to enable it through service menu) turned on. Could run it at 240Hz too but at least on this monitor it's not optimized to be used at that frequency anyway so it results in more visible ghosting but 144Hz it looks perfect. Already at 144Hz + strobing it looks way way smoother than 240Hz and without strobing. Also sharpness and contrast is ever so slightly better at 144Hz compared to 240Hz but I'm not a CSGO pro so I value image quality as well.

sounds amazing, as i mentioned the color rendering on this thing is dogshit as a result of the TN panel. for me not a big deal but kinda sucks that you have to compensate
2019-12-07 01:45
I got it nice looking on my XL2540, actually the best TN panel image I've seen for color accuracy, the BenQ always comes with screwed up factory settings or presets for that matter but that's nothing new. The biggest difference obviously was the gamma setting which was set to Gamma 1 by default which made all colors very washed out, Gamma 5 makes they a lot more vibrant, borderline becoming on the dark side again but I care more about the image quality and don't play CSGO (I only watch it). Color Vibrance 10 Low Blue Light 6 or 7 (to get more warmer color temp, closer to 6500k) Picture Mode: Movie Brightness: 36 Contrast: 48 r: 100 g: 99 b: 99 Gamma 5 This is with 144Hz and BenQ Blur Reduction on (ie. DyAC on XL2546) though, don't know how much it matters, possibly brightness needs to be set slightly higher if using 240Hz + DyAc.
2019-12-07 01:54
iamgine buying benq if u donteven play csgo
2019-12-07 02:03
The BenQ has best color accuracy according to reviews among the 240Hz WHEN you calibrate it properly. The ASUS one for example has a slightly pinkish red hue. Why would it matter if play CSGO or not, it's not the only thing benefitting by motion smoothness LUL, I'm a longtime Unreal Tournament player for example where motion smoothness & clarity matters just as much as CSGO. I'm a motion smoothness freak myself that swapped from CRT as late as end of 2009 when the first 120Hz LCDs came (I couldn't find anymore second hand good condition Trinitron/Diamondtron CRTs by then locally) that always valued motion smoothness & clarity highly.

yes? the stream i was watching is recorded in csgo. we are talking about csgo. i have watched this happen, in games that i played myself, not just on gotv. csgo has big problems with animation rendering, otherwise this would not happen. the problem is that animations are not synced to server. local client just does random shit and if it does the wrong thing then this happens. please get an education on how computers and software works and then come back to laugh at me, mr toilet cleaner.

I noticed how bad 60hz is when I brought better GPU and stuff in less demanding games didn't feel any smoother. Same deal after upgrading my CPU from dual core to Ryzen 5 3600. It just won't get any better until I collect enough money for high refresh rate monitor. 60Hz does not feel smooth at all.
