Bye bye Guardian
s1mple |
Sweden chanchex
Looks like he already knew that he was gonna be replaced. Idk if you noticed that, but when they lost last round he was crying or almost crying, he must feel absolutely terrible since he is not only not helping the team but taking s1mple's role. First CT round s1mple took the awp instead of him (it was eco round except s1mple awp) they won. He knows he is some heavy weight for the team and if he is not replaced after this tournament, he will be replaced after the next one. He only played decent in Malmö. All the tournaments after that he is underperforming A LOT. At least I'm happy the the rest 4 guys of Navi are playing really good and they are improving as a team. I am so sorry for Guardian, he used to be one of my fav player but I guess every player has to retire some day.
2019-12-07 20:04
Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
Look at him crying clips.twitch.tv/ColorfulTameSharkNomNom All other Navi players happy even if they lose match, boombl4 and electronic joking, flamie and s1mple were smiling when they shake fnatic players hands. Only Guardian is sad because he know he is off team now. Faze is laughing too.
2019-12-07 20:05
lol thats "sad" to u?
2019-12-08 10:42
clips.twitch.tv/HorribleJoyousButterflyA.. check out that clip you can see s1mple and electronic trying to cheer him up
2019-12-08 10:58
If you think kicking off is worst for player (for legend), you dont know anything about sport. He was crying because he had played shit and didnt help his team to win. I'm sure he didnt even think about kicking/leaving from the team at the moment.

2019-12-08 17:13
i just dont get what happened to him between last year and today? he was #11 last year, wtf happened? it sucks because i like him but he's just not a good enough awper anymore.
2019-12-07 20:06
Hes getting old and maybe he got so much pressure
2019-12-07 20:08
he's a static awper under the pressure from playing with s1mple
2019-12-08 10:47
just lost confidence most likely
2019-12-08 10:52
If your confidence is gone you can go down very fast
2019-12-07 20:08
yes, he holds steady angles which analysts say are "easy shots" but in reality these are disadvantageous to the awper due to peekers advantage. a storng awper keeps peeking the whole time.

Age, age is the answer he never was gifted player like F0rest and in his age it's really difficult to be AWPer for team with top3 ambition also probably he is very stressed and nervous ingame
2019-12-07 20:08
fallen 28, chrisJ 29, f0rest 31 age is not a thing, i think it's all about confidence. I think playing with s1mple makes him nervous. He wants to prove himself but he lacks the talent.
2019-12-08 10:46
everybody is different my fren , just because those three are still performing doesn't apply to the rest
2019-12-08 10:53
just saying age is not the reason for guardians' slump.
2019-12-08 10:59
I feel like it has something to do with not liking the game anymore.. I remember in one of Faze interview with Guardian when they asked about what other games does he play and he said pubg or something along the line like the game is very fun... I feel like that has got to do with his performance :[
2019-12-08 11:57
Ofc age is a thing. U see it in all sports, maybe its not a big physical thing in esport, but more mentally. Its hard to have the motivation to play 8-10 hours a day every day and doing it basically your whole life. And with age ur reactions get worser too, so aging is in fact a thing :) But yeah, confidence and other thing for sure can also have an influence.
2019-12-08 10:59
Zy (quake player) 30++ years old making mouse review made average 158ms with zowie s2. I would say it's very good result.
2019-12-08 12:20
There will always be exceptions, i am just stating the obvious for most of the people :)

How you know its hard to keep up with the motivation to play every day ? are you a pro player? And a age thing? x) reaction time becomes a problem around 40, otherwise its such minimal diffrences. aswell as the positives about been playing for that long, the big stages is less scary because you have been there before, majors etc. Honestly Id rather more believe in #33, guardian has been losing confidence in the game, aswell in some teammates, which have helped that along the way. TDL; don't think you have a clue of what you are speaking, people gives you counter arguements and you fold at once. x)
2019-12-08 12:42
"How you know its hard to keep up with the motivation to play every day ? are you a pro player? " - Let me guess, you don't know what its like to perform everyday. Ofc its hard to keep up playing and have the mental toughness to keep going everyday. Especially when u already have been on the top and seems to be a bit off from the top now. You see pro players wanting bigger breaks and wanting to skip tournaments. Why is that? Let me help u, probably because its hard to keep playing everyday and its so stressfull and therefor have the motivation to keep playing everyday. And all this i did´nt even account them being away from their family, GF and friends and not having any normal daily life. It seems u are one of the ignorant people who just think these pro players are lucky they can be a pro CSGO player and get all that money. U actually don't understand what mental fortitude these players have and that the motivation to be the best, is what differs the best players from the next best. "reaction time becomes a problem around 40, otherwise its such minimal diffrences." - Your brain decrease in performance after mid 20´s . And in a game where u have so little time already, even slightly slower reaction can be a substantial factor. If it was more strategic sure. - That's why we see older igl than players at top level or if u want that 1 experienced player on your team to have that experience has u urself stated. I am about 100% sure u would not see a top 5 team with older players only nowadays. "Honestly Id rather more believe in #33, guardian has been losing confidence in the game, aswell in some teammates, which have helped that along the way. " - So losing confidence can not be because he loose motivation. #33 literally is saying "I feel like it has something to do with not liking the game anymore" - So that's not lacking motivation?? - TDL; don't think you have a clue of what you are speaking. x)
2019-12-08 13:06
No, age itself is not a reason by itself. Motivation and confidence is the key factors, and they are not directly related to age. And reaction times is definitely not as important as you may think, most people have low enough reaction time to be competitive in CSGO, and pro players don't rely that much on just having the faster reaction time, it's much more about setting yourself up for a advantageous encounter and thus minimizing the impact of reaction time, if not you're doing it wrong. What sets pro players apart from normal players much more is hand eye coordination, they are just much faster and consistent in getting the reticule on target accurately after they have reacted to the threat. We all know Guardian has the skill for top level play, but he's lost the motivation and confidence to play well. If he wants to stay in the top level he needs to figure out what his problem is and do something about it.
2019-12-08 13:20
I agree with u to that extent that the physical factors does not have as big an impact in CS as in sports. But i already said that. Where i don't agree is that lost confidence is the problem. Loosing confidence originates from something else. A player like GuardiaN would never loose confidence in himself if he knew he could play better. Players like s1mple, zywoO or device would never scare him. The only time he would loose confidence is if he knew he can't compete with those players anymore. And the answer to that is likely him being older and at the scene for so long. Whether being him losing motivation, lacking something else mentally or anything else we can't know.
2019-12-08 13:34
I think you're making a lot of assumptions about a specific person's psyche. Ultimately only the player himself can say why he's not performing.
2019-12-08 14:28
"We all know Guardian has the skill for top level play, but he's lost the motivation and confidence to play well." - So u don't make assumptions? I am not saying that this is the case for guardian i am just saying its must likely like this, but i would never know because i don't know his personal situation. My point is just in general :)
2019-12-08 14:51
Well his skill is a fact, it's not like he's suddenly become a silver player is it? The other factors for being successful is motivation and confidence, this is what's true for pretty much anything competitive. So if the skill isn't lacking, it has to be one of the other factors. Not so much assumption as deduction. Anyway, I get what you're saying.
2019-12-08 16:06
"Well his skill is a fact, it's not like he's suddenly become a silver player is it?" - True it was more the other part which u made an assumption. "The other factors for being successful is motivation and confidence, this is what's true for pretty much anything competitive. So if the skill isn't lacking, it has to be one of the other factors. Not so much assumption as deduction." - False, it could be something personal. Maybe he have a hard time in his personal life and its affecting his game. Which mean u made an assumption about this not being the case :)

So you've basicily been writing 1000000 posts about this, that all are 20000 words long, which ultimately leads up to that you discuss the same thing, you dont know, you just make assumptions in all posts. We got your silly little point from the beginning, so what are you really arguing about ? you care so much about guardian you spending several days to think about him? :D
2019-12-11 11:04
Ohhh wow. So that's have u argue with people. As soon u know u have nothing clever to say u just get personal? TDL; don't think you have a clue of what you are speaking, people gives you counter arguements and you fold at once. x) Enjoy ur pityfull life mate :)
2019-12-11 15:49
True
2019-12-08 17:17
Well you don't have any counterarguments either except for your support of #33s theory. So wtf are you talking about? Are you a pro player? How do you know if age doesn't play a role in esports like it does in other sports? Have you invested as much time in CS and in the scene as the pros has? don't think you have a clue of what you are speaking, people gives you counter arguements and you fold at once. x)
2019-12-08 13:09
So what's his problem then? Mentally? Or age? If you have played CS your whole life reactions will surely not be a problem. Motivation for sure i agree. But if you are going to compare it with other sports then there is a huge difference. This scene have not been played long enough to say it's a fact that age is a thing.
2019-12-08 12:49
"So what's his problem then? Mentally? Or age? " - Why can't it be both? - Not saying it is, but just saying it can be a problem :) "If you have played CS your whole life reactions will surely not be a problem." - What? So if u play CS till u are 70 u still have the same reactions? The brain is decreasing after mid 20´s, that's a fact. I am not saying its the biggest problem, i just say biologically age has a effect. Thats a fact, both physically and mentally.

2019-12-08 13:05
when did f0rest last win a tournament?
2019-12-08 13:14
so because navi sucks, s1mple sucks too? a single player does not win tournaments, teams do
2019-12-08 13:17
navi has won a tournament this year so there goes that theory. nice try though! comparing s1mple to f0rest LOL
2019-12-08 13:18
f0rest is a much better team player. navi is ranked #14 ffs, with those calibre players they should be top 3
2019-12-08 13:26
when did f0rest last win a tournament?

Believe that if that makes you sleep better at night. Fact is the only event Navi won this year was with Zeus and Edward so this current lineup hasnt won shit.
2019-12-08 14:44
chrisJ is better than ever before
2019-12-08 12:59
He's been shit all year?
2019-12-08 13:01
random noobs calling pro players shit, love that
2019-12-08 13:06
I'm not saying he is shit, I'm saying he has been playing like shit this year compared to before. A bit like niko :-P They are both still amazing players. They just haven't performed like we're used to :-)
2019-12-08 13:09
Lately he has been better than ever. I dunno about the whole year, mouse as a team just underperformed big time.
2019-12-08 13:11
The whole team has under-performed, for sure. And a big part of that has been ChrisJ under-performing, or. You know... We're used with him having a rating of like 1.35, so when he's under 1.0.. yeah people like me are going to take notice =D He's still a legend, best dutch player ever - For sure!
2019-12-08 13:21
tbh, I dont really follow chrisj, but i havent seen him in this winning mood he is in lately. I mean, remember the days when he was OnlineJ? I havent heard that in ages
2019-12-08 13:31
That's what I'm comparing him to, hes old alter ego And to that, he's a complete bot today :( Maybe he have been looking better the last couple of games, but earlier this year (like a month ago), even karrigan was outperforming him in just about everything
2019-12-08 13:40
you made sense until you called him " a complete bot". not sure if it's cluelesness or just trolling but hard to take you seriously now :)
2019-12-08 13:55

He didn't have to leave faze. I don't know what he was thinking, afaik the navi proposition wasn't even available at the time he was already detirmined with his decision on faze. I really feel bad for him, he's truly Legendary player, he had his ups and downs, but mostly he wanted to win that fucking major, which he couldn't and that's really sad((( Joining navi was a bad decision for both sides, navi should pass their way with young blood, they've been playing with old players for so long, its should be a new chapter.
2019-12-08 10:43
he was kicked from FaZe... rain said in the interview... youtube.com/watch?v=sRoM32PdMy8&t 1:08
2019-12-08 10:59
If you think age is an answer by itself you're just wrong. It's not like he's 85 is it? In games, being young doesn't have many advantages except in a few cases a bit faster reaction times, but even that advantage is often exaggerated a lot, the reaction times doesn't get much worse with age, at least not the ages considered when talking about gamers. Motivation and confidence, that's what's important. We know he has the skill, but he needs to be confident and motivated to bring it out.

I just want him to win the major, that's it. He said it multiple times. After the major win he would retire. He deserves it more than anyone else on the scene.
2019-12-08 10:56
then he should fight for it, major trophy won't just fall into his hands from nowhere, with this kind of performance he's not gonna help Na'Vi to reach even quarter-finals of Major grind or leave, it's simple
2019-12-08 12:11
"then he should fight for it, major trophy won't just fall into his hands from nowhere" Don't shit Sherlock, I guess the name checks out.
2019-12-08 13:41
he said ''deserves'' in his comment and, well, right now it doesn't look like he deserves with this shitty form of his
2019-12-08 14:36
Now not, but overall does, however, If you think players Devilwalk and pronax deserve a major more than GuardiaN does then you are more than delusional.
2019-12-08 15:06
You are kinda right, but you can't blame him for lack of motivation, because he carried his team to finals 3 times (those 3 majors he played amazing) and lost all 3 (not because of his performance). He is struggling, everyone can see it, but he deserves it more than for example Gambit did (not taking the win from them)
2019-12-08 17:07
He should show up on Epicenter at least
2019-12-08 17:13
Thing is he has outpreformed and fought for this major but with lesser team mates. Otherwise he had one major title already im sure. Whats happening to him now is confidence, motivation (needs a mental break to reset and comeback, by that time he might not be able to join a potential major winning team tho, so try to force it now taking the chance) Simple might also cause him to lose confidence. He should try to find a way to deal with that. Best would be try and sort this out with simple. Guardian has it still within him but something needs to happen and he needs room-time to sort some stuff out. This would be mine advise but i donno. Ohyeah also create another faceit account and get your confidence back at the 1st level! Some physical training helps with confidence outside of the game.it will reflect inside the game as well. Also physical training sharpens the mind.
