Ryzen 5 2600 vs i5 9400f vs Ryzen 5 3600 my card is rx 580 4gb ofc i know that r5 3600 is the best, but is it worth with my gpu? won't it bottleneck? prices are like that, from the cheapest: r5 2600 > i5 9400f > r5 3600 (in poland at least) its gonna be used mainly to CSGO but also other games like gta, pubg and for programs like sony vegas or photoshop

what bottleneck? rx 580 wouldn't even bottleneck i5-6500
2019-12-07 23:07
yeah but its 4gb version not 8gb
2019-12-07 23:13
you won't have bottleneck with ryzen 5 3600 and rtx 2080 super. so there is no way there will be a bottleneck with 5 3600/5 2600 and rx 580

pc-builds.com/calculator/Ryzen_5_3600/Ra.. i know these sites are irrelevant but even here it says 100% lol

in pretty much every gpu bound game that would be true (so every AAA title), but since csgo mainly scales with singlecore performance on cpu, 580 is more than fine. CPU u forgot was 3500x. its like 120 dollar and basically 3600x without hyperthreading (so 6 cores 6 threads instead of 6/12), which is a great deal. But only available in china so might cost a few dollars shipping on top of that.

i think 2600 is same price as 3500x, Id always go for 3500x as u get way better single core perfomance, and those 6 cores should be totally fine for the next 2-3 years even with 2070S or 5700xt as gpu. But if u dont want to import from china and the cheaper cpu u dont need a b450 max board as u have to update the bios for 4th gen anyway and b450 without max will work with 2000 series. So u can maybe save a few bucks there
2019-12-07 23:45
hmm i just checked this 3500x, bro, its price same as 2600 in my country and its so much better. How is it possible? pl.aliexpress.com/item/4000259901570.htm.. Actually never ordered from Ali. How much risk in that? Also its just 6 threads, for example 2600 has 12 threads. What will it affect, multi-tasking like streaming?
2019-12-08 01:33
i thought rx is a bit better tho... go for ryzen 5 2600 intel is only a better choice when it has hyperthreading which 9400f doesn't have.
2019-12-07 23:28
what about going for ryzen 5 2600 rn with msi b450 a-pro max mobo, and then next year 4th generation of ryzens is coming out on AM4, and in few years i might upgrade to this 4 gen ryzen + new gpu?
2019-12-07 23:37
price of b450 a-pro max?
2019-12-07 23:39
419zl
2019-12-07 23:39
MSI B450 GAMING PLUS MAX MSI b450 TOMAHAWK MAX
2019-12-07 23:42
or u already have the a-pro max?
2019-12-07 23:42
no i was planning to buy it, none of these u posted, just msi b450 a-pro max
2019-12-08 00:25
then gaming plus/tomahawk are better options
2019-12-08 00:25
for future upgrade right?
2019-12-08 00:25
yup edit. i mean for now if u don't have a mobo yet
2019-12-08 00:29
gaming plus is the same price on morele rn
2019-12-08 00:30
hmm i thought it changes only colors and other irrelevant stuff
2019-12-08 00:33
i believe it has bigger memory capacity and better VRMs
2019-12-08 00:41
the 4gb are irrelevant in csgo

no bottlenecks dude just cap the 3600
2019-12-07 23:10
r u using the 3600 maybe?
2019-12-08 16:25
always in hardware price/performance. ryzen 5 2600 for sure i have a I5 6600K +RX580 8gb msi armor, 0 bottleneck.
2019-12-07 23:17
Does It really matter If the GPU is not on the same level with the CPU so to say when It comes to CSGO? I'd like to get 3700X with 570 4 GB(so I can save some $)....would It be a problem with combination like this for CSGO since It is CPU intensive game.. Thank you
2019-12-07 23:17
Yes. I'm on a 1050 and a 3700x @ 4250 mghz and im capped at 300 fps by my GPU when I should be closer to 500. Id say once you're going 3700x it makes sense to have a 5700 or better at that point.

Forget 2600 and go to 3600. Only games = INTEL For ALL = AMD. 3600 > i5 9400f cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-i5-9400F-.. ----------------------------------------------- I have 1060 6gb + Ryzen 5 1600x with no problem, so u GPU + 3600 wont be a problem.

Well... first if u will buy INTEL should be 7ª or 8ª generation (price/performance) and could be something similar to i5 9400 but it depends how much u have to spend. I have 144hz with 1060 + ryzen 1600x, there is no problem about.

3600
2019-12-09 04:10
3600 is obviously the best of that bunch. If you go second hand I bet you could find one for a similar price as a 9400. If it's still a bit too high or you don't feel comfortable going used, I'd look at the 2700x because it's a similar price to the 3600 and it has higher core and thread count. So if you do anything other than game it would make life way easier. I see you're looking to upgrade in about a year's time as well so I would further recommend against going Intel. Their backwards compatibility is non-existent and you would be much better off banking on amd catching up in SC performance next gen. Gl bro.
