The hitreg is fine and has been fixed for years, you just blow at the game.

Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Hiko was already dead.
It can not be 100% precise when there are players with different pings.
How can it be?.. You all play under different conditions, and while you may not notice the difference between let's say 40 ms and 50 ms, if the difference is higher - a server somehow should smooth it and make it closer to equal. Therefore many things you see in your screen in fact differ from what the server "sees".
Plus, if your ping is 40 ms and your opponent's is also 40 ms, let's say you stand still and he stands still. Now he pressed let's say "W" and he should start moving. His computer sends info about him pressing "W" to the server and the server receives it after <his latency> in ms, his ping (front and back) is 40 ms so his latency (front) might be 20 ms, so the server understood the guy started moving 20 ms after he "actually" started moving. Your latency is may be also 20 ms, so between his pressing "W" and your seeing his ass moving 40 ms has passed. He will see your actions also 40 ms after you do them. And now tell me how can it be smooth, huh? How to make hitreg better? That's why Valve use interpolation, lagcompensation and stuff to smooth that shit and you never see what the server sees and thus you may miss your shots.
And if we talk about 2 perfectly moveless guys 1-tap each other - the first bullet harly ever goes right in the middle of your crosshair, it's always random.

CSGO hitreg isn't perfect but its the best in the industry. Play other FPS games and see how good we have it here and stop whining.
Have you heard of first bullet inaccuracy? Your bullets don't go to the center of you screen. Even weapons like scout aren't actually 100% accurate. It's a stupid mechanic but most of the time it's not because of hitreg.
Well it’s better than in every other game, except for CoD, but honestly CoD is a lowkey kids game, ofc it needs to be as easy as possible.

Hitreg seems alright to me, 1.7k hours and haven't noticed issues with it

there are 3 options:
#1: you are dogshit
#2: your internet is doggshit
#3: your pc is dogshit
You need to have the right net config and that the PC and or network isn't too busy with something else for hitreg to be ok.
For instance I've noticed that if I'm watching youtube and playing csgo at the same time, hitreg is really really bad, I can often shoot straight at someone 100% looking like a hit, but it doesn't register at all.
Its true that sometimes the shot won't register, but the main problem is this thing called first bullet accuracy
The Ak, The m4, The Awp, all guns have it
First hot accuracy is basically the same way the no scope works, when you take a shot, it hits somewhere around the a certain radious, there isn't a signle gun in cs go that's fully accurate.
How to avoid first shot accuracy?
There isn't a way, even when you're standing still. The only thing you can do is use a Krieg or an Aug, they are more accurate than the ak and m4
