i mean, what if this was just a gimpse of dominance? in that case it would be fair, they have quite alot more to prove to become >5. although if they keep performing like theyve done recently, no doubt that they will be #3 or #2...

Feels good wake up to see this
2019-12-08 09:08
feels so fuckin good after hearing crowd helping shitstralis
2019-12-08 09:51
Really ? When ? Do you have the clips ?
2019-12-08 09:52
haha But they did not really yelled to position. I mean everyone yells for those kinds of situation, like when someone is about to get knifed or when a player has the crosshair on an enemy through a wall or a smoke.
2019-12-08 09:57
one thing would be if they were continuously yelling like it happens usually, but they were literally yelling only when astralis player had someone around the corner or if there was someone camping behind the smoke, he didnt even have to look at the player through the wall/smoke for those retards to yell
2019-12-08 10:01
Can the organizers not put them in some sort of booth, where they can't hear anything?
2019-12-08 16:07
ofc they can but from what i heard: A) Illegal in some countries (idk about that one) B) Takes too much space in arena (Such a stupid lie. This argument would work if they were playing at my home, but in arena with 6000 seats this argument just doesnt work + the booths are mainly big pieces of glass + the metal base that holds it together, how does that take space?) C) Doesn´t look good (I don´t think so. It´s all about how are they customized. If it´s just a piece of glass stuck together with pieces of metal, yep it looks bad, but if you add team name, logo, player names + their hp, armor, weapons and cam it will look much better)
2019-12-08 17:10
They played in a booth in Berlin, but I don't know if they could hear the spectators.
2019-12-08 17:22
I didn´t play in a booth so I can´t tell you, but the booths should isolate the voice at least a little if not at all.
2019-12-08 18:41
there were official statements from astralis players saying that they could hear the crowd, but saying what were they supposed to do, ignore it? No, not with the amount of money on the line of course theyre not going to ignore it when they know someones there, they dont blame the fans

"Shitstralis" ... Saying that about the strongest team ever. Taking down the Kings is really great by Mouz: Hat's off! But this is just exposing yourself as a complete idi ... eeeh ... unable to observe, think and conclude. Just look to the left on your screen: You will find who's the least losing team these days. Great to see yet another team checking in at the top! But "Shitstralis" is just stupid, uneducated, uncalled for, imbicile, childish ... fill in the blanks.
2019-12-08 17:29
I called Astralis Shitstralis bcs guess what? They were playing like shit against mouz, to the point crowd had to help them. Nobody stepping up on Train except for Magisk, Overpass was the map that the crowd started helping them and on Dust2 karma got them. Yes, they are No.1 currently, but losing 14-8 lead against mouz on D2 and even losing? That is not worth the Fall 2018 Astralis.

Commentators called it the best match of the year. Your attempts to try to make it look like Astralis "played like shit" is getting worse. I have said it again and again: No one is invincible. Everybody at top 20 can beat each other atm. A peak at the wrong moment, duels going this or the other way ... Is it time to say Mouz were "lucky" as you hear aaaaall the time about Astralis? No. Both teams played some wonderful CS, and Mouz came out on top: Congrats! We all have better days than others, but it doesn't suddenly make Astralis "bad". Not many can take Astralis down. Mouz did! Maybe learn to work with grades and nuances instead of this good/bad, like/dislike type of "thinking". That's how a robot or a computer works. You can do better than that.
2019-12-08 22:33
Why don´t you tell me WHY were they playing such a "wonderful cs"? What was so WONDERFUL about the way they were playing? You didn´t state one reason why should I consider Astralis´ game against mouz a "wonderful cs". Meanwhile, I gave you the reason they lost Train, I gave you the reason why the crowd started calling positions out on Overpass and on Dust2 and I gave you the reason why they lost Dust2. Only piece of your mind you gave me were those weak-minded insults, which looked like copied from some thread from here on HLTV. Best match of the year... So are we just gonna forget NiP vs Fnatic at IEM Sydney XIV? Or Astralis vs Team Liquid at ESL Pro League Season 9? Only thing I agree with you on so far, is the: Everybody at top 20 can beat each other atm. This I agree with for sure, but the rest is just utter bs. I know you can do better, I trust in you!

A couple of reasons: It was action-packed AND fairly close, right? And no: I will never forget the matches you mentioned, and I would even go and rewatch them at some point. I think you put too much emphasis on the "crowd cheating" stuff. Yes, a factor, but nowhere near decisive or even mildly influencing the game. (Annoying, yes. Not sure how to deal with it. Maybe removing the x-rays on the big screen.) My whole point was about calling them "Shitstralis". A few mistakes here and there, "luck" is part of the game, but this time not in their favor, maybe not the strongest display from Dev1ce on Train etc. Then Mouz turning up BIG for the day! GREAT stuff, absolutely. But the top #1 team doesn't suddenly turn in to a shitty team just by losing a match. You clearly see some swift changes on top #2 to #10, but Astralis seem to be the "least losing" team of all. Thanks for a fairly decent conversation anyways! They can be few and far in between in here! ;O)

+1 the players from astralis can't do anything about the crowd reaction and someone from them (i dont remember wether it was device or dupreeh) expressed that it was the wrong thig for the crowd to do. it's not something to criticize the players for because when the crowd reacts its impossible not to think about it. that has nothing to do with using the crowd for their advantage. in my opinion astralis and mouz played great and astralis prob should've won dust 2 16-8. they just made some wrong decisions in the end and maybe the nerves and the length of the match got to them but it was a great game overall.
2019-12-09 02:02
I think there isn´t really a way to stop the crowd from cheating apart from straight kicking the people that are doing that, but that way they could kick out the entire arena. When you look at the scoreboard, the maps seem very close, but all the maps were very streaky except for the beginning of d2(ovp - 5 rounds won in a row by mouz followed by 8 rounds won in a row by astralis), that way eventually the match loses the feeling of being close. I called Astralis "Shitstralis" because I thought they were playing shitty this one match against mouz. They are not a shitty team bcs of that one loss, that would be a stupid thing to say. It is true, Astralis is the least losing team atm.

Got it. What do you think about removing x-rays from the big screen in the arenas? Maybe not as fun to watch, but everyone would know why this precautionary measure was taken.
2019-12-09 22:49
Removing X-Rays would stop people from calling out positions but the game would get confusing in some situations. For example, Happy´s deagle ace on Inferno at DreamHack Open London 2015. First and fourth kill would be easy to spot for a casual viewer or a newcomer to csgo, the second, third and the fifth kill would kinda lose their value. The fifth kill in particular wouldn´t look special at all, even though you can see him aiming straight at karrigan´s body and then straight at his head. I´m gonna try and find the demo and check how would it look like without x-ray so keep an eye out for an update ;)

Without sound and commentators going bananoz it is of course "boring" though well played.
2019-12-11 16:53
i guess to remove x-rays would have a huge impact towards the spectator-experience. think about all this intense situations when u as a spectator see two players so close to eachother in a smoke for example. this is what watching csgo makes so fun. knowing more then the players. xyp9x made a long statement to point out some solutions twitlonger.com/show/n_1sr38kv the only solution without taking anything from anyone (crowd, onlineviewer or player) would be to make booths a common thing at every tournament.

See your point. I just imagine it is half as fun for the players who loves and lives for going up on the big stages as the superstars they are. Imagine a famous band playing in front of an audience they can't hear! ;O) Or a football team ... And I guess it's expensive to build these as well. Not easy!
2019-12-11 16:46
+1 best match all year.
2019-12-09 02:54
wasnt best match of the year, that was nip vs fnatic at sydney, twas great though, but yeah he is stupid for saying shitstralis, sure they weren't playing their best and choked twice, but atleast youre not eg, mounting a comeback only to get 16-0'd

Only device was playing shit, rest of the 4 were pulling their own weight and more. Respect both teams
2019-12-10 12:53
> Magisk was carrying his own weight > gla1ve had kills, but fucked up as an IGL during the 14-8 comeback of mouz, that is most likely why he got mad: () youtube.com/watch?v=zK0ou4pEpwc) () twitter.com/gla1ve_csgo/status/120360444.. () twitter.com/gla1ve_csgo/status/120348038.. > Xyp9x is usually 3rd-5th Place in the team, sometimes has negative KD even when they defeat the enemy 2-0, nothing really changed this time for him. > device was playing shit, we both agree > dupreeh is up and down in the scoreboard, mostly second to device or first place. I actually expected him to rage the most, but except for irritated looks, he didn´t rage much.

The real point is showmanship, astralis is a team that relies heavily on defaults, no wide peeks for info after bomb is down on their ct side, playing off of trade potentials and so on. It seemed that the train loss got into their ego as it was the home crowd, so they wanted to entertain the danish crowd and started to opt for a loose kind of cs after going 14-8, i guess to make some showman plays to please the crowd, actually after the 11-12th round win for mouz they knew it was getting close and tried to tie up their defenses but mouz was already on a hot streak then

Fnatic got a fuckton of points for beating Astralis and winning Malmo I feel like this can be replicated by Liquid and EG falling down (due to losses), fnatic moving up and Vitality / 100T / anyone else not doing enough to beat Mouz who will inevitably shoot up and fill the gap. But im saying if mouz gets #4 fnatic will get #3, if Mouz gets #3 fnatic will get #2. No way fnatic goes lower than them imo
