why do pro players flick their mouse left and right when they jump?
Australia superanimeguy911
they are not strafing for speed or distance, they are very clearly holding w when they jump and are losing speed because of it. Why shake your mouse left and right while jumping if it just disadvantages you? Just jump normally?

They do it to look cool Also I don’t think they hold w mid jump
2019-12-10 04:04
why are they prioritising looking cool over performing well? seems like misplaced judgement to me
2019-12-10 04:06
Finland Sadee
how does it affect your performing?
2019-12-10 04:12
because you're putting more brain power towards entertainment that could be put towards in game performance
2019-12-10 04:14
yes need very much brain power to shake your hand yes

confidence is a big thing in cs
2019-12-10 05:31
I don't think its to look cool I would say they are trying to get comfortable, free up the wrist before entering a duel, getting their mind into the game
2019-12-11 07:54
Wtf i didnt understand anything
2019-12-10 04:05
watch the games, every time someone jumps they spam their mouse left and right for no reason.

Bulgaria Ju7y
They're probably strafing too, you know? But they are doing short fast strafes, so you can't notice it
2019-12-11 07:05
They have so little impact that they may as well not do it.
2019-12-11 07:08
Bulgaria Ju7y
Why not? It's also practicing at the same time, meaning they're improving at it without having to go in a kz/jump server
2019-12-11 07:11
makes them look pretentious

probably just resetting their hand on their mouse

i shake my mouse left and right because it helps me aim better
2019-12-10 04:15
You lose speed by holding w mhen you jump forward? 4k hours in this game and I know nothing of this?
2019-12-10 04:32
United Kingdom smackP
no you dont. i think the guy is confusing it with bhops coz u cant hold w when bhopping
2019-12-10 05:23
Bhopping shile howding w is possible, the strafes just become odd.
2019-12-10 08:51
when you hold W while jumping and spamming your mouse left and right
2019-12-10 05:23
Maybe they are trying to avoid passivness a.k.a. trying to get out of their zone of comfor bcz It makes them aim worse.
2019-12-10 04:37
Oh shit, I thought u were asking why pros randomly lift their mouse, not why they randomly do it while jumping, I mean they are b hopping, It helps them to jump further.
2019-12-10 05:20
Or you are actually saying what I thought the first time....idk
2019-12-10 05:21
Yes but it doesn't help when they do it incorrectly every single time, it's a detriment and it would be easier to just jump than attempt to break the long jump world record every time they jump
2019-12-10 05:24
i have never seen a pro player hold w mid air unless they are bhoping sideways please give an example
2019-12-10 04:37
literally watch any game. They lose speed when they spam their mouse left and right so my only conclusion is that they are holding W when they do it rather than pressing A and D.
2019-12-10 05:22
you mean they are just strafing fast?
2019-12-10 05:30
2019-12-10 05:31
watch this it seems you dont really understand strafing to me
2019-12-10 05:31
I understand it perfectly, I can hit 270 LJs on KZ servers consistently. I reckon 270 is my average. However watching them attempt to do the same when they can just fucking jump normally and get the same amount of distance and speed is mental.
2019-12-10 05:34
After like 50 comments you have finally made your point clear. You are someone that sits on the server to practice longjumps, bhopping and shit and now you are complaining that pros aren't doing it correctly. And yet I still don't believe pros press W when jumping constantly or I still have problems understanding your sentence. Link a fucking clip.
2019-12-11 07:13
Brazil MrPNG
it literally helps you jump farther lol (an old habit of surfing as well, if you played 1.6)
2019-12-10 04:43
2019-12-10 05:00
not if you're just holding w or not pressing A and D in the correct direction, which literally all of them are doing btw. It's embarrassing to watch.

Yes every pro doesnt know how to air strafe. Are you dumb? When they jump and shake it's almost always to avoid shots because their movement has been slowed
2019-12-10 05:36
Brazil MrPNG
I'm sorry, but most of them do know how to properly air strafe. If you don't, I'm sorry for u.

Uh, I actually don't know. Of my 3 years of playing csgo, my movement is still that of a gold novas.
2019-12-10 04:50
I do it too, just a bad habit
2019-12-10 05:01
There is a mechanism in the game that makes b hopping work, where you can jump and helps you keep your speed and or go even faster than regular running, evade enemies etc. To do that you sync your movement keys (left and right) with aiming to the left and right at the right moments.
2019-12-10 05:17
I understand that, however the pros are not doing that, as literally all of them that are doing it are losing speed by not correctly strafing. they are holding W when they do it, not strafing in tandem with their A and D presses.

pretty sure they are seeing as it’s such a common thing for them to do? You’d think they’d stop doing it if it held them back

Holding w in air and do small straves won't lose u speed tho only at an angle the model turns u lose distance but no speed. Try W only bhop or hsw(w-stuck) only and you'll feel it. If you have a fast flick from left to right while still doing a strave (like so ~~) can gain u speed but that next level and unlogic to do.

they just rest their fingers on W while doing it theyre playing on a real match, unlike you who only play kz servers 24/7 and think he has the right to talk about the pro scene cus he can "LJ" 270(thats pretty dogshit mate, nothing to be proud of)
2019-12-11 06:17
average of 270 is dogshit? are you fucking retarded?
