When it comes to foreign students, I can only speak of Greek exchange students. I really do understand them coming to Denmark to study. First of all, it's free in Denmark. Second, you're getting paid a solid amount of state education grant which in Greece is money you're usually getting from parents, grandparents or other family members or taking a loan. Third, from my own experience, the teachers do a really good job to make sure everyone understands and gives a lot of advices when it comes to making your assignments, which I haven't experienced in Greece.
It was MANY years ago, when I went to university in Greece, so things could've changed.
