Amd still isn't up there with their single core performance, and with CSGO being a dx9 game, it can't utilize all threads effectively, meaning that single core performance is the most important when running it. There's a reason why many pros use intel instead of AMD

That reason being sponsorship deals mate. Both sided can easily get to the 300fps cap, so if one side offers to pay you a huge amount of money to chose their products and you get similar results from both sides, you can see why the pros/teams would choose to accept this deal. It goes the same with peripherals too, most of the top pro teams have sponsorship deals on most of their peripherals, you can tell pretty easily by checking their gear, if the entire team uses one model/manufacturer, it's likely a result of a sponsorship. THAT is the reason so man pros use the Cloud II's btw

Or else - 16gb 3200mhz and anything but this killed-on-purpose 1060. 1660 , 1070 , 2060 - just dont buy 1060 as updates killed it on purpose (nvidia thought its too OP for its price). I have 8gb 2400 mhz with 1060 and 150/200fps. Tried to OC my cpu but no results at all. So imo its because of the gpu and ram (i often have 10+ chrome tabs open) and in fact 3200 increase the fps in CSGO. So the only update i'd do is GPU (1070 most likely) and Ram 16gb 3200mhz (i5 6600k is decent enough for couple more years)
2019-12-13 13:47
>>GPU Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Super GAMING OC 3X 8GB GDDR6 How is this better than for ex. 2080 Ti?

Yeah , its overkill for CSGO tbh. Anything but 1060 should do the job just fine. I've seen people with same as my build but different GPU and ram (3200mhz , mine is 2400mhz ) that have 280/300 fps.
2019-12-13 13:47
Yeah, but you miss my point.. Title literally says "BEST PC FOR CS" and then he specs 2070, which is quite rubbish tbh (but overkill for csgo)

Honestly , even 970-980 is enough for CS. Anything but 1060. I had stable 300fps until nvidia decided to fuck up the 1060. So this guy is just flexing with 2070 which is really unnecessary for CSGO imo. I'd rather buy second hand 1070 or something if your play mainly CSGO (no editing , streaming or other games). The build it self is far away of "BEST" i can agree. There are better CPU's / GPU's

If money is no problem: 9900KS and oc all core to 5.2GHZ with RTX 2080Ti and 32GB ram 4GHZ. If on a realistic budget, a 3700X will give you better performance than a stock 9900K but you can't OC the 3700X almost at all. Proof (LinusTechTips benchmark) : i.imgur.com/kip3gHg.png
2019-12-16 09:02
you cant OC it but it gains big performance from faster ram / overclocking ram, especially in csgo the gains are absurd.

Buy an AMD EPYC 7742H and RTX Titan SLI lmao

Not jealous at all. Wasted money because you made a thread "BEST PC FOR COUNTER STRIKE [...]", so I assume it's the only game you are playing + You are clearly too excited and try to show off so I doubt you are using PC for work if you do any work at all.

i mean guys you can buy PC for 5 K euro and for CS result of fps will be similar , you can easly buy cheap setup for only CS and result will be similar but how long ? I don't want to change my computer every 2 years i hope this setup will survive all uptade in at least 4-5 years I love counter strike and i need 250fps + on next few years and by the way i can play new game's in really good conditions so i dont know why are you mad pidars :D
2019-12-16 10:54
But your setup isn't very good if you only care about CS, even if you want to optimize value for money. E.g. 2070S is overkill for CS, you rather get a different CPU. E.g. ryzen 3700x seems good: i.imgur.com/kip3gHg.png. Combine it with a B450 motherboard, which is cheaper than the one you picked. Also watercooling is overpriced and terrible value for money.

It depends on what you want from the cooler. If all you need is cooling and you don't care about stuff like design and so on, a good air cooler is all you need. The Noctua NH-D15 will beat most AIO water coolers without much trouble. What AIO's do offer is saved space, better design and (possibly, although not always) less noise. When you get into custop water cooling, it's nto worth it to make these argument anymore, because everyone knows it, but it doesn't matter, because LOOK AT IT!!! Custom loops are fun :D

i actually have i5 4460, a gtx 750 1gb and 8gb ram and i run cs go on 200 with medium settings, you just need to build perfectly all the pieces have to be equilibrated, you dont need high quality components
2019-12-16 21:24
+1 i have i5 3570 and rx 570 4gb and i run csgo 250/250 on low no need to spend top money on a gaming pc mine costed 200usd used this guys just trying to show off and its not even super beast pc lol

Imagine having your corporate loyalty preventing you from actually doing research on the quality of different products on the market and thus not baing able to make an informed decision on what you buy. I was an Intel user for the last 15-ish years, I switched to a 3700x about 3 months ago and I'm very happy with my choice. Don't be a fanboy man, you're robbing yourself and it make You look stupid. Using factual evidence will take you further rhan yelling "I have an opinion and if you don't agree with me you are stupid"

Yeah but it was proven way too many times that AMD products don't last as long as Intel and Nvidia products do. Also the price gap is not that huge if we're lookin at top tier CPUs and GPUs so I'll just go with the safe option and that's not AMD. Plus most of the games support nvidia + intel powered systems.

I would highly recommend against that power supply, and generally against saving budget on a PSU. The VS series is not very goodm with the VS Orange produsct being absolute garbage and VS Grey producst being just barely better than the noname PSU's they put in prebuilts. There's a fairly comprehensive PSU tier list where you can see most of the current mainsteam brands and their products sorted into tiers, I woudn't recommend going under the Budget tier, unless risking the entire system is what you desire. linustechtips.com/main/topic/1045610-old..

if you are literally just building a pc exclusively for csgo and nothing else you can build a $400/$500 system with all brand new parts and get the price even lower if you get them used or on big sales.
