Well yeah, but the problem with these things is that he wasn't joining OG. I do agree guy should be unbanned. Valve really are fucking stupid with the bans they hand out. Imagine if steel only got banned for like 2/3 years for throwing. There would be a third great NA team like Ghost was, but they would be able to be in the majors possibly making deep runs. Maybe even steel could have been the Liquid IGL rather than nitr0 and they could win a major to cement that era

So by your logic teams can now throw game, get bans for like 2 3 years and make 5 times more money than they did in all of their careers using betting sites.

???? In every other sport in the world people throw matches get bans for a few years (first offence) and then they learn from the mistake and move on with thier lives. Also, iBP didn't get that much money. MAXIMUM like 20k for that whole throw. So you think if someone stole 20k they should be in prison for the rest of their lives. Do you think people dont learn from mistakes. So many moral highground losers on this site

Listen here Ramzis, u need to learn that cheating and match fixing is 0 tolerance policy. They knew what were they doing, they could stop it at any point, but they didnt. Its cuz they are greedy. If u respect this players, ur then Idiot Ramzis II. The fact that u dont even consider that it should be prema banned from all competitions is sad. Ur bassicly saying "its ok to cheat and throw the game u will get 2 years ban ez"

I don't think you have any clue about the context of the iBP situation. That was before all the big money came, and they thought they could get an extra few thousand off a simple throw. Tell me another respectable sport that perma bans throwers. in all wrestling sports people dope and don't get perma banned
2019-12-13 15:57

Its cuz of attraction, in NBA u have people flying in air. It all depends on money. If u have money u wont get perma banned no mater what you did.

I feel bad for steel and swag. IBP was a great team that should have been allowed to play. I see no point in banning a 14 year old prodigy just to make an example out of him. NA CS lost great talents that day, and Valve is stupid when it comes to the whole Jamppi situation.

No they didn't. Also, yeah, I can blame Valve. A year ban and forfeiture of those skins should be enough.
2019-12-13 18:11
Lol no they didn't. There was no official ruling on throwing and the sensible thing to do would have been banning them for a few years.
2020-01-02 11:03
The problem is that valve doesn’t want to just punish a player but make an example out of them, their mindset is that if we ban this player forever for throwing that’ll stop everyone from throwing, but when teams are continuing to throw they’ll hardly do anything
2019-12-13 15:48
3 replies
Well yeah I understand Valve's ruling, but the problem is you fucked over the first people who got caught, and didn't even give them another chance even if it was still a perm until they revert the ruling. Also, if iBP got banned so many other T1 pros would have been banned at this point, but Valve doesn't really give a shit
2019-12-13 15:49
2 replies
Exactly, valve doesn’t care if a player is punished but that they are made examples of. The amount of na teams throwing games before the ibp bans where bigger then anyone outside the scene could imagine. I remember when steel went on NMC and talk to Richard Lewis about the bans and he said that “I buy power died for the NA scenes sins”. The fact that ibp was banned for something that everyone in na did is unfair and bogus

then he shouldn't try to become a pro if valve already told him that it isn't possible. dumb people just use "he was 12" as some emotional excuse. obviously you can't just not punish people for cheating and he knew about his ban for years, tried to hide it and still become a pro. it's stupid and dishonest and I am glad valve doesn't change their position on it. playing a video game at an event sponsored by private company isn't a human right.

it literally says "fan of thorin" next to your name. pretty obvious that you are the one that needs help here. and again, his age doesn't matter. he cheated, avoided the ban, created multiple accounts, tried to hide the ban for years, tried to become a pro even though he knew it was against the rules... it's all his fault and he isn't 12 anymore. He even tried to scam OG into hiring him even though he knew about his ban. and again: "playing a video game at an event sponsored by private company isn't a human right."

Talk about my flair, while your pussy ass doesn't even have one great job. I apologize for being a fan of arguably the best csgo content creator. How the fuck does age not matter. How fucking stupid can you be? You think if a teenager did something they should be held to the same laws as an adult??? He didn't scam shit at all. Guy got a ban in 2013 when he was 12 and the game wasn't even that big at all. later on in life he got good, and just let the past be the past. Also, what do you mean "playing a video game at an event sponsored by private company isn't a human right."? You think its okay for you to pay for something and then it gets taken away indefinitely because of 1 mistake? So you are okay with a VAC ban if you cheated on a server without anyone else on you, but you had cheats?

literally anything is better than a thorin flair. no, it's stupid that he tried to become a pro when he has a VAC ban. "he was 13" is a dishonest excuse. he wasn't 13 anymore when it came out that he has a ban, was it? he tried to hide it, created multiple accounts even years later. there are hundreds of jobs and games, playing at the valve major isn't a human right. why would valve want to pay cheaters to play at their official event? lol
2019-12-13 15:34

He didn't tried to hide, when you get banned you automatically need to create another account to play the game. If he were hiding he woundn't tell someone he cheated which he did, he admited it. You probably don't kno the history and I don't blame you for that but you can't discuss about it either. v$m was just a kid, doesn't deserve this ban at all.

yes? there are hundreds of other jobs and sports. valve always said that you can't play at their major with a ban. he wasn't 12 anymore a year ago and still tried to hide it and go pro even though he knew it wasn't possible. also people like you never have a solution. so 12 year olds can just cheat and it has no consequences? it's not like he wasn't playing the game, he simply created a new account (which is just another violation).

So lets rephrase, you can't get into a "top job" because you stole a chocolate bar. :D You think a 12yo can see the future? lol Like he knew he was going to become a "pro level" player. Simple got caught cheating by ESL 1-2 year ban. Snax vac banned in source i believe and many other, nothing, they play and have played top level. Jame banned for cheating in esea, still plays and competes at majors. They have done it in important games, cheating is cheating regardless of where. Jamppi, 12yo messing in MM, not having a clue about the future = life time ban, but they can still compete. lmao Valve are just stupid.

why do you keep repeating the shit? I already answered this: > there are hundreds of other jobs and sports. also he isn't 12 anymore. the rules have always been that you can't become a pro with a ban in CSGO. it's his fault for trying and ignoring the rules. valve has repeated the rules over and over again. maybe pay attention? also he created multiple accounts to avoid the ban, so just another violation, valve could literally ban him again just for that. and like all cheater defenders you have no solution to the problem, again: > also people like you never have a solution. so 12 year olds can just cheat and it has no consequences? it's not like he wasn't playing the game, he simply created a new account (which is just another violation).

Please read and comprehend that last comment, thanks. why do you keep repeating the shit? You literally repeated yourself in every comment. > there are hundreds of other jobs and sports. why should that matter when you put all your effort into one? lmao > also people like you never have a solution. so 12 year olds can just cheat and it has no consequences? So these players ive stated can also just cheat without consequences? When they knew what they were doing at older ages and in actual matches. :D Cheating is against the rules and these people have cheated in valves game regardless if vac banned or not, they got caught using a cheat and they should get the same punishment then, shouldnt they? It's completely irrelevant you saying "he isn't 12 anymore" the ban is from when he was 12 and thats all that matters. It's not like he has any since... There's no defending cheaters but i don't agree with situations like this whatsoever, ban a kid who's clearly talented for life from basically getting in any top tier team because of a dumb one-time-mistake that happened 6 years ago at the age of 12 before he knew anything about the pro scene. Other sports such as combat sports people cheat and potentially could kill someone and they get 6month, 1year, 2year bans and they know full well what they're doing. They get a 2nd chance, why shouldnt he?

I'm all aboard the FreeJampi bandwagon but I don't want to hear it when you people say the IBP guys should still be banned in the same breath. Valve needs to look at how they treat kids with VAC bans. There are so many current and former pros that cheated in past versions of CS it likely would have killed a couple scenes before they started if this was in place from the start. They will freely admit to it even. Ridiculous. I know I'll get hate for this but Thorin wrote an article with plenty of examples to back me up on that.

It's a bit hilarious that you benefit from having a hack good enough to not get caught by VAC. What makes having VAC ban some kind of true evil deed compared to getting banned by any other AC. Tbh it should be other way around. Getting a hack that bypasses VAC shows more resolution to cheat than just getting the first one you find on google. I get the practical reasons from Valve. Of course it's easier to just perma ban VAC banned people and not use manpower to go around checking who is banned by 3rd party ACs. What I don't get is the blatant hypocrisy of some people. Some of the people who try to take some moral stand in these threads are the same people who cream their pants every time s1mple makes a highlight.
