Mate I dislike Liquid and I think Elige should be #1, above Zywoo and s1mple. He won Liquid so many trophies, usually being the only truly consistent member. He is more integral to Liquid than s1mple is to NaVi. Imo only Zywoo can be considered above Elige

Stupid German. Navi 2019 without s1mple would be dogshit. Guardian can't awp anymore. Electronic is great but thats about it. He was kind of underwhelming at the beginning of this year. Boombl4 cant really frag at the top tier. Flamie is just inconsistent coinflip who either plays decent or just trash. S1mple had to carry Edward and Zeus this year too. Zeus was a decent IGL but crap at shooting and Edward is just dog shit as fuck. Liquid w/o elige is still a top 10 team. Maybe top 5. In 2019, Stew was considered the best entry fragger in the world, Naf was considered a top 10 player. Twistzz was in contention for one of the best aimers in the world alongside S1mple and Zywoo because he was so good with deagle and ak first bullet accuracy. Nitr0 was also in the debate for top 5 awper in 2019 too alongside top 3 igl during their run of the grand slam. Navi without s1mple = Electronic sometimes carrying but probably going to be around top 20 team

dupreeh is way too high. Electronic and brehze too low. Jame and qikert shouldn't be on the list. Xyp9x is too high. Gla1ve shouldn't even be on the list, recency bias is getting to you it seems. Ethan too high, jks too low. Woxic has been better than ropz this year in total.
2019-12-15 00:49
Germany Neckarstadion
Agreed with Qikert, but Jame making it into 15-20 is not out of this world.

4 big events played this year. He's overrated af
2019-12-15 02:42
Dupreeh have nice rating won 6 tournements and 1 MVP and also some EVPs Brehze I agree, electronic won 1 tournement and played 5 or 6 (no Majors) Gla1ve won 1 MVP and some EVPs and have a decent rating Ethan nice rating 1 MVP 1 tournement some EVPs I like a lot jks, but he did not win nothing, only a final (IEM Beijing vs Astralis) Woxic 0 MVPs ropz 1 and the rating of both are similar
2019-12-15 01:04
United States Vollizie
Dupreeh has been great, but #6 is definitely too high. Idk wtf you are talking about, but electronic played at both majors, unless you meant that he won no majors, which makes no sense in this ranking. Electronic has the 4th highest rating at Big Events this year, no way he is #12 only. I don't think he will make Top 5 though either because of lower map count and low amount of EVPs. #44 for opinion on gla1ve. Ethan is making the list, but he has been inconsistent this year, so most likely lower than #14. Doesn't matter if you don't win a tournament, as long as you played well, you can make it pretty high. Jks will be higher than 18.
2019-12-15 02:50
I think you are making the same mistake people made last year and looking at number of MVPS too much. People who get MVPs tend to rank high because people who are with high peaks and consistency tend to win MVPs. Dupreeh was great in the last tournament played, and he was good in the first tournament of the year, between that he was very mediocre. Electronic is has spent the majority of the year on a team with Zeus and s1mple, that situation makes it near impossible tow in MVPS. If s1mple isn't amazing you don't win the tournament because you have Zeus, if s1mple plays at his best so you win the tournament then you don;t get the MVP because s1mple does almost by default. Electronics SLTV season 7 isn't worse then dupreehs MVP because s1mple was better then electronic. Electronic was still better at SLTV 7, EPL S10, and the Berlin major then dupreeh was across at the tournament where he won the MVP. People did the same thing with device last year, they ignored things like the fact that s1mples non MVP performance at epicenter was way a better performance then all of devices MVPS except 1(eleague premier). it just happened to take place at the same tournament as Niko having a 1.5 playoff rating. I came very close to predicting the top 20 last year and thats because I looked at how high a players peak is and how consistent they were, i didn't just count medals received. This is electronics big event resume for the year. and this is dupreehs Electronics worst big event of the year is a 1.13 rating, Only 2 peoples worst event of the year is better then that and those 2 people are zywoo, and s1mple. Electronic is so consistent that Device has 4 tournaments worse or equal to his worst tournament. (1.13, at cologne, 1.08 at New York, 1.05 at epl season 10, and 0.94 at blast Miami) Dupreehs average rating was 1.11. Electronics worst big event of the year would literally be an above average event for dupreeh. If that sentence isn't enough to convince you that electronic has had a substantially better individual year then dupreeh I don't know what to do for you. Dupreeh only had 2 tournaments all year that would be considered above average for electronic whos big event rating is 1.23. In other words dupreeh plays better then electronics average in 13% of big events. Electronic plays above dupreehs average in 100% of big events. On an individual level Electronic is leagues above dupreeh, they are not close at all and I would bet the farm on electronic finishing above dupreeh. Im calling it now I will be back on January 21st, dupreeh will not make the top 10, electronic will be 5th.

nah ill read when im home in like 8 hours
2019-12-17 08:34
it's not recency bias. it seems you're forgetting the first quarter of the year when astralis was still dominating everyone, including the major. liquid started their win streak in the middle of april.
2019-12-15 01:19
That was mostly device and magisk though

What #28 said. Gla1ve's stats were poor most of the year.
2019-12-15 02:44
the stats you linked contradict your own statement. they clearly show that for the first 3 months of 2019 glaive was consistently above 1.00, even higher than december. i maintain my point that it's NOT recency bias.
2019-12-15 11:46
United States Vollizie
He's in the red a lot. He's a very valuable person to have on a team, but there is no way he is making a Top 20 list with these stats.
2019-12-15 19:41
i never said that he'll make top 20, just that his form at the beginning of the year was better than it is now.
2019-12-16 19:58
United States Vollizie
His form at the end of the year was better actually.
2019-12-16 20:15
those are the stats from individual events. the stats you posted in #44 contain a 3-month-average in each datapoint. it's up for debate which one better represents "form". also, by filtering only for big events you left out ibuypower and ecs s7 w1 at the beginning of the year, where he had some of his best stats all year. but all of that is besides the point. i merely had a problem with the term "recency bias" and mentioned some counterarguments to it, that's all. merry xmas.
2019-12-18 18:35
United States Vollizie
Lol you actually think online matches are worth anything? Doing good at iBP won't change anything since it isn't a Big Event, so it has very little impact. I also filtered #44 by "2019," not "last three months."
2019-12-18 19:57
erm... do you even understand what you posted? look at the graphic at the bottom of the page you posted in #44. in that graphic, every datapoint is the average of the 3 months prior to that date. you can see the 3 month window when you hover over the graph. for example the highest point says: " [Denmark] Glaive Nov. 24th - Feb 24th - maps: 30 Rating 1.10 "
2019-12-19 14:04
United States Vollizie
Well, this is 2019. You are taking into account events crossing over from 2018 into the 2019 year with the beginning of the graph. This is the start: Jan 1st - Apr 1st - maps: 19 Rating: 0.95
