I once worked a warehouse job for six months. A frozen warehouse to be exact (where we packed all the frozen stuff to supermarkets you can buy. Frozen pizza, frozen veggies, frozen anything). I got at work at 4 AM then worked 12 hours until 4 PM. Got home, ate, fell asleep and repeated the whole thing over and over. The only daylight I saw was during breaks where I went outside to smoke a cigarette. And I gotta admit, night jobs isn't for me. I get depressed working in the dark, sleeping during the day, never seeing the sun. I feel for you mate. Hang in there and have a great weekend no matter what.

And I thought my mundane retail job sucked. I've done freezer work before, but not for long periods of time. I wouldn't last more than 2 hours lol. Props for even putting up with it for six months.

It wasn't cold at all. Never felt cold working there with the clothes we got. But the boss was an absolute insane type. He was there 20+ hours a day, even put in a mattress in the room where the cleaning ladies had their stuff, just so he could go sleep there at times. It was actually okay. Never froze, there wasn't any set breaks, you took one when you felt like it (union rules says you have to have 10 minutes away from the cold for every hour you work there, so we could do two-three hours straight and go sit on our asses for 20-30 minutes as we pleased. Boss didn't care. Hard work but fair)

I love working at night, alone, nobody hangs around. I can sleep, I can watch something, I can listen to music or take a walk round the object. It may not be the same as your job since I was security but it's a peaceful job that gives you time to think.

My job literally gives me zero time to think, my brain is just turned off

Yeah, night work has its cons and pros. I also used to work (remotely) at nights. I remember how I went outside to buy some food at 2-3 AM, streets were so quiet, peaceful, unfrequented... Some people like it, some people get depressed by it. :D

Yes, I always liked it, there's too many people out there, no space to breathe like you like it.

I used to work nights man, it used to kill me not being able to get enough sleep when we have to and top of that I had work under alot of stress coming from managers, it was tormenting. I couldn't handle the pressure and left, then I fell severely sick and was under medication for almost a year, hope no one ever has to go through what I've been through back then

Night shift sounds terrible. Yeah depending on what you do it could be okay, but it has to mess with your day time schedule. Especially if you have a family and other responsibilities.
