Worst career decisions
Frankie |
Finland jUPPE!
Is there any other pro making worse decisions with his career than Kjarbye? Is this guy a masochist? Destroying himself for fun. If he had any sense in him, he would try to get into the same team with HUNDEN as soon as possible.

He was kicked from faze, optic must've gave him a good salary, and that team had some potential. It didn't hurt his career at all

yes but ence was better

What was the problem? He got replaced in faze, got offer from optic after and they did well. Again, whats the problem?

They came 5th-6th at epl finals, that's pretty good for a new roster with a new igl

thread is about the worst decisions, and op suggested kjaerbye, who went from a major mvp to an irrelevant player, so his career is basically destroyed. You suggested allu instead, thus suggesting that his decision also destroyed his career. And it wasn't even a bad decision at all lmao.
2019-12-15 13:42

Can you not read wtf, I just explained it
2019-12-15 14:20
Its all about perspective. I saw a completly new lineup qualifying for big events and beating good established teams in a short time. If you compare them to ence then they rose higher much quicker then ence did.
2019-12-15 13:00
yeah but they played against NA teams, and ence had much higher peak
2019-12-15 13:04
Thats not fair because we never saw optics peak because the project got cancelled to soon. And yes in the qualifiers they played na teams but they were destroying them by their 1st official game. This thread was about "worst career moves" and in no way was this a bad move for any of the players on that team. Allus worst carrer move was thinking he could igl for ence and they would stay a top team. Thats the truth.
2019-12-15 13:10
i agree that allus igl move is worst, but since optic didnt reach their peak i think it was waste of time for allllu
2019-12-15 13:12
It was perfect for him no? I mean right after it got cancelled he was humbled into taking a chans on a risky project with unproven players, he defenitely wouldnt have done that before when he had offers rolling in. And that project turned into his most sucessful team wouldnt you say?
2019-12-15 13:16
he definitely would have done that because he knew that optic is not good team and is just waste of time
2019-12-15 13:21
clearly a business move. he knew he was gonna become father wanted to make extra cash and probably did good cash in that time.
2019-12-15 12:21
s1mple joining Navi
2019-12-15 12:09
And getting Guardian
2019-12-15 12:10
and before that getting zeus
2019-12-15 12:11
I mean back then it might have been a good idea but keeping him for that long, yeah
2019-12-15 12:13
Navi with Zeus = Cologne 2018, CAC 2018, Blast etc. Navi Without zeus = -
2019-12-15 13:07
All carried by S1mple alone
2019-12-15 13:48
if s1mple carried alone, why he cant win something rn ?
2019-12-15 13:51
They won star ladder this year. Then S1mple switched his mouse (a mistake but it is his fault). Then at EPL Groupstage S1mple dropped an 80 kills bomb vs Heroic and they still lost. You can't demand less then to play on the highest level. Then a lot of breaks cuz of player changes and retire from Zeus. So in 2018, they went to every tournament had no player changes and did what they did. Also, this year Blast wasted a lot of times for many teams.
2019-12-15 13:55
Yea they win starladder, with Zeus. nice excuses.
2019-12-15 14:11
And S1mple carried again. Nothing is an excuse this is what happened. It is their own decision so they have to live with it. S1mple still carry when they attent to a tournament. But this year isn't like 2018 overall.

-Fnx +Felps wasn't bad, they won a lot of trophies, I think the first Felps kick was the biggest mistake from this roster But I agree that Fnx kick was unnecessary, but wasn't the decision that give us the worst performance.

2019-12-15 12:11

Flusha joining C9.
2019-12-15 12:11
not really, he was kicked from fnatic, and in C9 he showed fnatic that he can perform and is still one of the best, so now hes back in fnatic because of what he did with C9. Remember that C9 was 1 win away from getting top 8 in Kato major.
2019-12-15 13:09
Still bit of wasted time. I like flusha not arguing that he isn’t one of the best.
2019-12-15 13:11
not really, its better for him to show he can make a dead team somewhat perform(C9 was already dead at that point but flusha helped them stay afloat to be around top 15-10 in hltv rankings) After flusha left C9 not even top 30. Fnatic was able to see that flusha is very useful and got him back(probably JW and krimz misses him too)
2019-12-15 13:13
Like i said C9 after boston was a shitshow, but the one period where they were actually doing decent was when flusha was playing with them, before that and after its a complete garbage bin.
2019-12-15 13:14
Good point especially fnatic part.

2019-12-15 13:14
They removed the worst player on the team and replaced him with an igl that made them t1.. So no, i do not agree.

Kjaerbye was clearly holding back astralis, so not much point in staying there. If you want more than stealing paychecks, you need a team where you can actually contribute. Leaving North for a smaller Danish team isn't a good idea, North has the most money, they're going to buy the young players eventually

kjaerbye was not holding back astralis, he was pretty decent on that team. major mvp remember? only reason astralis was bad for most of 2017 was because of dev1ce's health issues iirc

astralis was terrible at the time due to dev1ce having health issues, he thought hed be in a better team with north. then dev1ce recovered and it turned out magisk was even better than expected.

2019-12-15 12:44
xDD this is not his mistake, he is good enough for astralis and would be there if csgo was 6v6, international teams are pointless, he went to OG cuz he is just tired and desperate i guess, but North or any danish org couldve built a really good roster without danish grandpas like cajun or aizy stavn, sjuush, b0rup, es3tag, k0nfig, MSL, acoR, blameF but their CEO is just retarded. FaZe is trash and so is OG international teams are only good for a fluke tournament, they never will be a consistent top 1, prove me wrong

Autimatic denying all offers to stay on clown9
2019-12-15 13:15
People need to understand that that astralis lineup with kjaerbye was dead. And had already reached their peak, if he stayed in the team they would have never had an era in the first place because of the role clash between dupreeh and kjaerbye, and the fact that he was a cocky brat and didnt fit in with the teams personality. You could also see he wasnt motivated anymore, he literally said in an interview that winning a major and a MVP at 18 ruined his career because the his only dream was to win a major and he did it within a year of top professional playing. His numbers were horrible after PGL Krakow and he was clearly a liability to the team, the only reason he wasnt replaced was because device was having his issues and creating more instability would be even worse for the team. And the fact that they believe in family and comradery would have meant he would have probably stayed until midway through 2018 if his numbers continued to be subpar and he would have been cut anyway. It made sense at the time for both parties, he wasn't motivated and didn't want to play with them anymore because he reached his dream, North gave him a shit ton of money for a salary and he's probably set for life now so I cant really blame him TLDR: It made sense at the time because the roster stagnated and he had no motivation
2019-12-15 13:15
true magisk is literally second best player on that team, very often the best and he is way smarter than kjaerbye even valde for kjaerbye would be a great change
2019-12-15 13:29
I thought they would pick up valde when he left, I think if they did the results would have been similar.
