OG new Coach

Finland the_one_who_baits
Who should they get as their coach? Only realistic ideas pls, i.e not someone like Zonic who won't leave Astralis.

Jumpy?
2020-01-04 10:43
Eh he really didn't convince me in Fnatic. Out of free agents he's a decent option tho
2020-01-04 10:44
Free agents? He's coaching North.

Warmaker best Tinder coach for sure, though I don't think OG will need him since they already have Aleksib.
2020-01-04 10:45
aleksi is more Grindr wise

2020-01-04 10:56
Eh I feel like as long as he's in good terms with the rest of the CIS scene he won't leave for an english speaking job. He does seem like a smart guy from interviews so I'd imagine he could pull off coaching.

i think if og will ask him to become their coach, he will accept it, but i think adren still wanna be player, so not 100% (imo he washed up as a player, so thats why i offer him as a coach)
2020-01-04 11:16
he makes every team he joins bettert with 0.9 rating, he has a lot of ideas, read avangar interviews about adren, he has improved the way of practice, he motivates his teamates, he would be a perfect coach
2020-01-04 11:51
Yeah I agree. If only he could perform a bit better in game and VP would be a solid top 10 team.

He seems pretty happy as a data analyst but if he ever wants to coach again I'm sure he'd be good, even for an international team.
2020-01-04 11:05
sadly he said he wouldn't accept that offer since he doesn't believe in this roster
2020-01-04 12:19
Sauce? Pretty weird to shoot yourself in the foot like that if you're unemployed.
2020-01-04 12:23
he has passion to the game and wants to reach goals and not just get payed so he needs to believe in squad he coaches I think it was on last WePlay tournament where he was an analyst for RU studio

LMBT should be perfect for them, but for now i think they're fine. They have 3 people who used to be IGL. Can't wait to see them playing again. #DreamOG
2020-01-04 11:06
Yeah maybe they could use someone more motivational like Robban. #DreamOG
2020-01-04 11:33
+1. I like robban.
2020-01-04 11:50
Maybe RobbaN? Or LMBT?
2020-01-04 11:15
Both are really good options imo, I think it will just come down to whether OG wants someone tactical or motivational.
2020-01-04 11:34
how is robban good option...?
2020-01-04 11:37
Since they already have so many people that are capable of calling they might just need someone to bring them water and give fistbumps.
2020-01-04 11:39
yea the only thing that robban can actually do...but thats it. no reason to pick paycheck stealers
2020-01-04 11:40
Eh I do think that he brought at least something to FaZe. Either YNK is a complete hack or FaZe benefited from having a motivational fist bumber like Robban.
2020-01-04 11:49
robban didnt bring anything to faze. he had literally no impact at all on them tactically and they were running like headless chickens before karrigan joined them. completely useless
2020-01-04 11:50
Tactically yes, but OG has 3 players who have IGL'd in the past so they might just benefit the most from having a waterboy.
2020-01-04 12:03
they dont need fat paycheck stealer for that. any random kid can do that for 10 bucks per hour and ticket
2020-01-04 12:04
I mean OG has money, might as well get the best waterboi you can get.
2020-01-04 12:18
robban is in faze now again
2020-01-04 11:36
Oh I didn't know that. Is he a manager or smthing?

2020-01-04 11:14
I'd like to see that, but since he now has a kid I doubt he'd be interested in traveling around the world for almost the entire year.
2020-01-04 11:35
True couldn't really think of anyone else. Maybe an analyst whos an ex pro like maniac?
2020-01-04 11:53
He probably prefers to build a career out of being an analyst, but tbh as a fan I would really like him in OG.
2020-01-04 11:56
Yeah i don't really know any retired players right now who could coach. Maybe Get_Right? idk
2020-01-04 12:06
Just imagine what a fan favorite OG would be if they really got Get_Right. They'd instantly have Finnish, Danish, British, Polish, ISSAA landian, French and Swedish fans. But really though GTR is probably going to Dignitas and honestly I'm not sure he'd make much of a coach.
2020-01-04 12:12
We'll see.
2020-01-04 12:50
Coaches are overrated. It seems that OG players have no problems inside the team. it's good if there is some other person who can help them on mental side but I don't think coach is needed at least for now.
2020-01-04 11:25
Yeah thats a fair assessment, if it starts to look like they're not going anywhere after a few months they can always just plug a coach in.
2020-01-04 11:36
not all coaches tho. zonic or starix are/were actually awesome and their impact on their team is/was huge

LMBT is probably the best out of those. Neil_M seems like a nice guy but you can't be that good of a coach if you get kicked from Grayhound.

LMBT would be a great fit, he was very successfull with mouz, even if the'y don't made a lot of finals
2020-01-04 11:57
Yeah I think he needs a second chance at a decent team, apparently motivation was pretty low during the last months of that Mouz lineup so he can't really be entirely blamed for their downfall.
2020-01-04 12:00
Very true, and I think he really could fit in that team
2020-01-04 12:02

some new guy uve never heard of. Why do we have to recycle the same 3 dudes like some jerkfest
2020-01-04 12:05
I think being a good coach requires a lot of experience which very few young or unknown guys are going to have. There also aren't that many young coaches out there, everyone wants to rather be a player.
2020-01-04 12:15
so maybe some old player from like VP/NiP? have experience + respect + old guy calm mentality tired of seeing the name peacemaker, his experience didn't help him for shit
2020-01-04 12:20
That could work though none of the current or ex-NiP/VP players strike me as the type to want to retire from playing and coach. AFAIK all of the old school NiP guys are going to Dignitas and VP guys are either leaving the scene or going to the ARCY retirement home. Fair enough on peacemaker tho

Pronax won't go coach OG. He is the owner of GODSENT and I doubt he would wanna sell his ownership/shares in a company he founded just to coach for OG. If anything he's more likely to replace Devilwalk as a coach. Sadly that does mean we'll probably never see Pronax as a Fnatic coach either, which would be dope.
