Best country to start a new life
SolEk |
United Kingdom Nik0l4yy
I hate my life right now, I want to forget everything and start all over again. Next year I will go to Uni and can choose to do a year abroad study in my third year. Maybe I will make friends studying abroad and could later move there entirely. Suggestions where I should move? (not EU & East Asia) I'm considering USA, Canada, Singapore, NZ, Australia, Brazil, South Africa.

NT fake Indonesia - it is kind of obvious that the political system in Russia differs from more democratic country's.... All though you are totally entitled to believe that this form of leadership is the best...

Congratulations ! You have won a brainwashed moron award of the year. U have no idea about living in russia. All u know is from ur thoughts and mainstream propaganda , therefore yes , enjoy ur stupid life and don't waste my time mr bbc.

Luckily we all know that whenever someone starts with the name calling then they just do not have any arguments. I am not going to get down on your level and call you all kinds of bad words. Just keep this level of socialising and I am sure that you will make a lot of friends, but only friends that agree with you cause if they do not they are "brainwashed morons with stupid life's"

In that case, you would be just fine. But only at work. Even in this day and age, most brazilians still can't communicate in english quite well. So if you ever feel like ordering a pizza or asking somebody on the street about how to get to the nearest mall by car, you better have a few portuguese lines memorized.
2020-01-14 00:39

I don't know why you'd want to leave europe, uk is pretty distant from other european countries. But i'd recommend New Zealand UAE or USA. I wouldn't recommend canada because there aren't very many jobs Everything outside of toronto is boring af and the weather can get really bad at times. Also crime is high in some areas, especially areas with new immigrants.

Anywhere with nice healthcare, and where they pay you actual wages that you don't struggle on. Would be my recom, so defenietly not America unless you have a huge saving and a plan, i heard it's easy to get drained in the US and rent some places is horrible their healthcare is horrible especially if you arent a citzen, they have a homeless epidemic and i don't know about you but i don't like their guns either, Australia sounds fun, i have a friend that worked in Australia for a year and he loved it, Canada is a better America better healthcare and foreigners get treated much better there but again you need alot of money to move there, and a job/plan. Singapore nice beautiful wealthy country, healthcare is so so. And they have a housing problem atm over 90% own their own house and they have too many people and not enough houses, and you will need alot of money to live there too. South Africa i heard is super nice but only in certain areas, once you go out on the country side or some hoods, they arent to happy with white people that's atleast the rumor, don't take my word for it. Brazil beautiful country, nice women, very nice food they love their meats, i wouldnt mind living there, but i don't know too much about their job/housing situation, only visited. NZ beautiful country or island also well established, but i don't know if they are in need of jobs but i would assume they do, alot of people living on islands are looking for something bigger, atleast that is what i have experienced from growing up on an island myself. I would recommend looking into living cost and housing situation, how easy it is to get a visa and how they treat immigrants GL.
2020-01-13 23:55
immigrants are probably treated worse everywhere than natives

I saw that you considered Brazil and ai will comment on that. Brazil is a developing country so if you want a chance to survive there you must go to Sao Paulo, which is the financial capital of Brazil, there you will have more chances to find a good job and start a career, the rest of Brazil is not a good place to be. In Sao Paulo you will face manu challanges that any big cities such as violence and criminality however its not ehat you see in the news, I have been there for 20 years and never been in a dangerous situation, the reality is that sao paulo is one of the biggest city in the world, there are 15M people living there, so statistically speaking something bad will happen everyday its inevitable. Having a career in Sao Paulo means your remuneration will be high medium level executive earns about 15K usd/month or 50k brl/month, Brazil is a growthing country so there is a lot of money to be made there, its the city that create more new millionaires in usd dollar per year but one thing that you must have in mind, people work alot there is no such thing that starting your job at 10am and ending it at 6pm, be ready to work at least 10 per day. The cost of life is high, Its higher than Lisbon, Madrid, Rome its close to Paris, but its much easier to be sucessfull over there because the market size is huuugeee. Regarding the people well you will have to learn portuguese, because brazilians hardly speak english but at the sametime the reception on immigrants its amazing they are nice going, friendly and warm welcoming people, its really nothing like the stereotype that hltv users like to use, I would say its exactly the opposite. However I see that you from UK, man London is one of the best places to be, the market is strong its paid good sallary, the weather is shit but whatever when you are working you dont take advantage of good weather anymore and on vacations you can go anywhere you want. In my opinion London and New York are the best places to be because there are such a rich multi cultural environment that its only matter of time to find the right place for you to be. And dont fool yourself, right now europe is the best place to live on earth.

I think you don’t get it. The term “Developing” is used to define countries who are bad but still trying to get better. While they use the term “developed” to justify countries like USA, Canada, Germany, France and more:

I know what does it mean, but I still cant see how brasil is "trying to be better" - this argument is too broad and general

Brazil is the 8th largest economy in the world, its bigger than canada and russia. Its an econmy 10x larger than ukraine. All ex-urss country excluding russia together wont even get half of Brazil. Ukrain is completly irrelevant economy while Brazil plays on tier1 league.

2020-01-14 06:14
To fight in donbass?
2020-01-14 06:17
If he wants to :) Other great opportunities: living in a dying post soviet state; possibility of being killed by illegal weapon stolen from donbass, and from day to day number of illegal stuff and criminality increase; die in a car crash (roads same or worse the ruski ones, and you definitely saw ruski car crash compilations); die from unemployment and/or poverty; die from old soviet communications (falling bridges, popping tubes with hot water etc.). If running his own business: Absolute law and political mess: this 5 years we are ruski dogs, another years - european ones; corruption on lower levels; high taxation that causes business to go in shadow and vice versa; if somehow you manage to make a successful business you get: raiding (by both criminals and government); inspection bodies visits that block your work and make you give them bribes to omit artificial barriers; If he wants to get employed: the only chance to survive economically, but no guarantees that his tnc/mnc wont close in Ukraine/post soviet region because of donbass and all mentioned above reasons. People: grim and looking depressed/actually are, smiling and acting happy is considered as being an idiot/infantile and sometimes may cause agression; extensive heavy alcohol culture and alcoholics (some part from soviet depression times (80’s), other from groving generation); Polar political views and cultural habits: western lean to europe, eastern to ruski, causing conflicts; generational gap: older generation grew in commie state, younger in capitalism. And many many other opportunities. So, come to Ukraine :)
2020-01-14 06:59
People are described in general and from subjective point of view; you may have opposite impression based on area/social group, but not smiling is a pretty general habbit

It's more or less they care not for the ones who can't - in their broken economical system. Again, it's medieval. No matter which way you want to see it. It's fueled purely by the greed of the elite patriarchy of the nation - who can just go to a private clinic and get the care denied to 99% of other people. If you think that's right in a "developed 1st world country", also I might add, the only one in the world that doesn't have universal healthcare, that's absurd. Let me bring it one further by adding: Americans pay US$320/vial of insulin (a life-saving medication for diabetics - of which about 10% of Americans are diabetics) whereas Canadians pay $32/vial. American pharmaceutical companies are allowed to up charge 1000% more for the same medication offered north of the border. People actually die in the US because they can't afford it. Does their leadership care? Not enough to remedy the situation. But the 1% keep getting wealthier. In fact, despite all the research and blatant argument for better healthcare, costs just continue to go up with no capping off in sight. Good logic on your part, though. Clearly that isn't an issue, lmao... I would NEVER recommend another person to live down there. And I've been to the US PLENTY of times. I'm literally 30 minutes from the Canadian/US border. I would still never advocate people to go there. Nor is there a real good reason to anyways.

I don’t really know how the economics work but USA definitely has a stable economy right now. Who do you mean by private people? So you are calling USA a bad country because they don’t have health care? Usa is definitely a good country to both live, get educated and create a new life. You just have to be a smart guy and try your best to get a good life. Because, USA gives everyone a chance to prove their self and get a good job or education by proving your self to people. If you really don’t recommend people to live in there, why they have to be the number one country in the world that many people wants to live in? Its because THE COUNTRY IS GOOD.

The country does not have a welcoming nature. Sure, it might look awesome for somebody from a wartorn country in the 3rd world, but for someone moving from one "tier 1" country to another, it's a horrendous choice. Even with money, it won't make you anymore accepted.

Did you know that Denmark covers post-secondary education in their taxation? That Scandinavian countries are actually the top of the list in terms of generalized happiness for their residents? In addition to that, Healthcare IS everything. Without your health, anything and everything else will be affected - as a result. So, yes, a GOOD healthcare system is essential to both happiness and success. That's a fact. And on top of that, would be my number 1 reason for relocation elsewhere.

NZ isn't that expensive, and the job market is always looking for people to hire. I wouldn't suggest Auckland if you do go, though, probably somewhere cheaper like Dunedin or Christchurch

From a financial viewpoint, do not come to SA. Our currency is getting less valuable each year. Let's not even start about our water and electricity shortages.

U.S and Singapore are the absolute best countries out of the ones you named, but if what you're looking for is freedom you shouldn't dismiss Estonia as it is tied with U.S for being the freest country on Earth. In Brasil you will absolutely need to learn Portuguese which will be tough. If you're just looking to become middle class with a normal 9-5 job as quick as possible then New Zealand and Canada might be better options, but if what you truly want to do is to reach the stars and have entrepeneurial mindset, you must go to U.S.
2020-01-14 19:05
Why not Europe?Germany can be a good place to restart for example.Otherwise the US and Canada will be your best choice, you dont need to learn another language
2020-01-14 19:07
Simply moving won't improve your life. You have to tackle the causes of what makes you unhappy, or else you will just be unhappy on the other side of the world.
