Is shroud actually cheating?
 |
Germany RobiDable
So i basically never really watched shrouds streams but ofc i saw some clips of his plays here and there. Recently i found a video with plenty of fishy clips from him also explaining why he could possible cheat and it sounds really logical actually. His flicks and locks onto the player are just unreal, it looks like straight gold old days flusha plays but even crazier. The video: youtube.com/watch?v=bekkHeBgsQU Btw, the clip at 54:22 is by far the most fishy if it ain't fake.

Hitting a few insane flicks in pugs and other games does not equate to insane performances in professional matches. It does matters don't get me wrong, but the team, strats, playstyle and the brain of a player matter much more because most of the people you'll be facing can do the same and more. Just look at TenZ, he's the best example to solidify my point. NA has a bad rep and history of producing all aim no brain players.

NA brain at it again. It's way more harder to be that accurate and to hit every flick shot in pubg than it is to have good aim at osu. Because in pubg people fucking move, do random stuff and shoot back at you. Meanwhile in osu you just focus on 1-2 things.

You never mentioned that in your previous comment, so you just presented another argument due to your last argument being shit. Also, its not hard to be accurate in PUBG because your movement counts, the opponents movement makes it harder to be killed but them moving does not influence your aiming.

I literally said "Osu is something different than random scenarios in FPS games." Sorry for not explaining everything in detail for you dumbass lol. Flag checks out i guess. "but them moving does not influence your aiming." Also this makes you sound even more stupid. Of course its harder to hit something thats moving, especially if they do random stuff.

2020-01-15 18:42
hahaha ahh man :D the fun thing is that everyone says this, but i actually DID achieve some stuff in source and played on some pretty decent teams. Either way, the fact your so blind to how these suspicious clips came suddenly and were unprecedented (at least in frequency) previously in the pro scene says eveything about your limited experience. nt with the bluff tho ;) cya newfag, cba spending more time on you.

this is one of the issues, people like you blindly stating how long he has played for without even looking at the evidence(data). did you actually watch it in 0.25 mr newfag? If you did you would be able to tell that his hand-to-crosshair movement is actually pretty nicely synched, but he DOES NOT move his hand at all to move this flick, he ONLY starts moving his hand AFTER he is on the enemy and doing recoil control/micro adjustments. I cba, as i said above you are too ignorant and newfag to be able to see anything other than what your little bubble allows. You can reply but im gonna move on to less retarded ppl ^^

what a sad person you are, in so much denial of others success lmfao You realize he pub stomps in whatever game he touches right? First time he launches up the game, as the game's released and servers come up on stream. He adapts quickly and starts hammering everyone. Just accept it already :)
2020-01-15 23:17
i mean they boundaries are only set by how much money u have, like we live in a technological wonder place, if u pay enough the CIA even send u minors and childs in a airplane to have sex with. they have technology to find u all over the world just from mirror image and u dont think they can humanize and personalize an aimbot?
2020-01-15 16:44
so a primary thing in PUBG is to aim in a direction and look into other cause u will get the zoom from the weapon but still can see around it quite well and in a lot of clips this guy use this as a claim for aims, but is normal to do that on PUBG at least.

"glitched, lagged PUBG spectators pov" - if you played even once in PUBG with your teammate, you will know that PUBG spectator pov is far from being smooth or related to actual mouse movement, flicks or aim tracking. "and doc's reaction" - who cares about opinion of a guy that would not be able to sustain on silver 4 level for longer than 2 days. Clips are just record of PUBG spectator mode from doc's perspective - a VIDEO.

Shroud Bwah Bwah Bwah ZULOL
2020-01-15 16:12
54:22 He does move his wrist... he just has extremely high sens. Shroud isn't cheating.
2020-01-15 16:30
no he does NOT. Check it at 0.25 speed. u can see his hand moving around even on very small adjustments to the crosshair, but NO MOVEMENT AT ALL when he flicks to the guy. He then starts moving the mouse (a little) during the duel and more after he kills the guy as he looks for the next enemy.
2020-01-15 17:59
Are you completely ignoring the fact that in 0.25 speed, every single motion he does in that clip appears much faster in-game than it does in the webcam? Look at 54:16 in 0.25, he swipes his mouse about 10 cm to the left and does a 100 degree turn. The problem is that the movement happens way before we see his mouse moving. Apply this logic to the time (54:22) I was referring to. He flicked to the dude's head, and with the exact same delay as the turn in 54:16, we see his hand moving every so slightly to the left. That flick is a mere 5 degrees, which is 20 times less than 100 degrees, which means that he only had to move his hand 0.5 centimeters, which is consistent with the clip. Let me reiterate. He is not cheating. Shroud is extremely humble... a humble, talented guy like that that who loves video games to the degree that he does would never cheat.

Yes Shroud is cheating, he is not a fantastic gamer that is able to translate his skills across multiple games, able to hit the same flicks and shots in the same aim style in different games, no no no, he is actually using cheats in every game he plays, when he downloads and tries out any game, Call of Duty, Escape From Tarkov, PubG, Fortnite, the first thing he downloads on a side monitor so his stream can't see is cheats. Crazy that such a prolific cheater like Shroud has never ever been caught, but no CSGO major could detect the pristine cheats Michael Gryzeik was using, his software is unmatched and was able to translate across different game engines and through steam, origin, epic, with ease. Instead of a simple explanation like, he is a nerd and is good at games, we have been able to unpack the darkest secret in gaming of all time, we are coming for you Shroud, you will not escape again.

ahh right, just saw your reply and assumed otherwise. But since you are OP i probably should have guessed :D anyway thanks for taking this battle! for some of us its so obvious if not incredibly suspicious that it definitely deserves a serious review and discussion, but all these ignorant fanboys just say "lol cry kids" without actually looking or realising how fcking suspicious his plays are.

Nvm, but its crazy how man people here act like fanboys you described, kinda sad.
2020-01-15 18:18
Such a shame. It honestly saddens me that so many people are so incapable of at least looking at the data/evidence and at least try to discuss it or make a proper defense instead of just going "xaxaxa cry kid" "lul wut he played for ever" "u know he was pro riiiighjt?!?!" Just like the aimlocks that so many people just said was random shit that happens when you play the game enough. People who followed the scene(s) before GO and these aimlocks could tell that there was a sudden massive increase in these plays, and for some weird reason after these locks got so much public attention, we rarely see them anymore from these pros. They just simply changed their entire way of playing and aiming, moust lifting etc. How random.
2020-01-15 18:24
Nice sarcasm, but the truth is he is a very talented and naturally gifted fps player - just like flusha was when he was cheating back in the days. It is impossible to hide cheats if you dont have a deep understanding of the game and good mechanical skills. The difference between when the player is using his cheat and not is simply too obvious if he/she isnt talented already. But shroud has somehow gone from being one of the very talented players to being able to consistently pull off the most ridiculous, low chance - and in many cases stupid - plays by hitting the most unreal shots. But kudos to him for being so good at hiding it for so long that most ppl just blindly accepts any and all plays he makes.
2020-01-15 18:04
This video is really whack, I can't believe someone spent this much time on it. Yeah he's not cheating, and it's a compliment that someone put this much time and effort into believing that. If you have ever been top level of any game, it's very normal to for people to believe you're cheating. This has happened with pretty much every break out professional in CS (tons and tons of examples) and in other FPS games.

Dumb? Like his shots/flicks are something different bro, you can't compare that to csgo scandals.
2020-01-15 18:01
Check 54:22 like OP says. Importantly: slow the video down to 0.25 speed and check the hand camera! You can very clearly see how he moves his mouse around every time he makes an adjustment to his crosshair placement, but when the enemy peeks out from B site and shrouds flicks his xhair from short pillar, his hand does not move AT ALL! it is so incredibly obvious that he uses a trigger key - not to mention the speed and mechanic motion. His hand moves naturally everytime he moves his xhair, except this kill where he instantly flicks to the enemy without moving his hand at all. explain this sequence to me pls.
2020-01-15 18:06
Yeah sure, I'll bite. A few things to note, look how young he is there; video is older and the clip is over-compressed and not 60 FPS (you're missing frames of information to interpolate what is happening and the movement the occurs in between). The webcam is not synchronized, pretty much is off axis the entire clip as the movements do not match up with the timing of game--the webcam is delayed probably I would hazard 2-3 frames off from the game play at it's current frame rate. You can see this is evident in all of the movement in correlation to the onscreen game play. This can easily happen especially during the earlier days of streaming. At pretty much the final frames of the clip, you can see his hand move slightly (and inward to the left) in roughly 2 frames after hitting the flick shot. Why does it seem like it locked on? A combination of a higher sensitivity than average and a lower FPS video. A 60 FPS video would likely show you the frames of movement in between the flick, and again the clip is pretty poor quality. I can see why people might see that as very suspect, but to me, it seems like a lack of understanding of technology and it's working aspects. I think it's pretty easy to see as evidence and ignore all the other factors, like the terrible quality of the clip and when playing in slow motion that it's harder to see the de-synchronization of the webcam and game play.
2020-01-15 18:31
You would make a great lawyer tbh, but just because you could explain this all away with compression and off-sync and more technical terms, doesnt mean its the case. And i whole-heartedly disagree. Obviously the camera wont be 100% synchronized, but you can VERY clearly see him moving his hand when his crosshair moves - with a fraction of a delay. When he does the flick, his hand doesnt move at all, only when he is on the opponent and makes micro adjustments/recoil compensation. About 1-2 years ago there was a danish scientist who went on a trip with a female journalist on his submarine and killed her (rip). He could explain everything that happened too with technicalities and weird coincidences that were technically possible - but fortunately the jury could see through all the bullshit and connect the dots between the insurmountable pile of suspicious stuff :)
2020-01-15 18:38
Thanks, I'll take that as a compliment. We won't agree but as I said in my post above, his hand does actually move, about 2 frames after--it's a small movement but it is there. If I cared enough, and I were really trying get technical I would find the original clip (best quality and reduced chance of error and bias from technological mishaps) measure the pixels of movement from his mouse and derive an amount given in real space and correlate it to game space (millimeters of mouse movement to pixels of screen movement) to really see if he was cheating or not. I don't believe he is just from what I'm seeing.
2020-01-15 18:49
Watch it again. His hand moves AFTER the flick while he is doing micro adjustments. Even on the small flicks you see hand movement, and when he flicks from kitchen to short you see him move across most of his mousepad. There is NO MOVEMENT connected with his flick to the last guy. The movement you see and are talking about are SMALL micro adjustments to his xhair WHILE having his xhair on the guy. Im not saying its 100% evidence, but i find it naive to simply explain it away with de-synch or w/e when the camera clearly tracks his hand very well and in accordance with xhair placement in every other part of that clip.
2020-01-15 18:54
Yeah that's what I'm referring to. We just have different opinions on it. I don't think that is micro adjustments but the actual flick itself. From what I know he uses a higher than average DPI and sensitivity in CS:GO. It's all moot anyways, but since he's demonstrated he's capable of pulling off such things on stage and on camera and even in LinusTechTips video itself. If he does cheat, it would seem against his character.
2020-01-15 19:06
blatantly cheating in A L OT of these clips :)
2020-01-15 17:08
50:46, I find this one particularly interesting, he swerves and runs over a guy he can't even see.
2020-01-15 17:34
I always suspected him but im 100% convinced now. ANYONE who believes he is legit, do this and then try to defend him: Check 54:22 like OP says. The guy made so many millions scamming gullible twitch teens its unreal, almost have to respect he has been able to hide it and convince ppl he is just that godlike. Half of the PUBG clips are ridiculously suspicious too, the way he locks to different enemies during a firefight etc, so much stuff to mention but the csgo clip alone is enough

sorry murica fanboy, check the clip at 54:22, at 0.25 speed. I know you will explain it away with camera delay or lag or w/e your blind fanboyism can come up with, but the fact is that the hand-to-crosshair movement is synched with a fraction of delay the whole time except for the last kill where he flicks without moving his hand at all. As i said, i know your fanboy brain will come up with excuses, but to anyone who isnt blind and ignorant, this is if not 100% confirmed, than at least extremely suspicious. Not to mention half the clips in this pubg video. Ah well, hf living in ignorant bliss.

2020-01-16 01:22
of course, he's cheating as soon as a new game comes out like apex legends and has cheats prepared for each game that he does flicks and aims better than most players in. I don't care for shroud but this video is actual dogshit + last part could easily be a poor syncing of camera + gameplay. but you know, if they're insanely successful off their talent, why not be jealous and try to bring them down? this whole thread is just 2 retards who probably spend far too much time on their pcs watching tenz stream for the next "BLATANT LOCK" flick and getting upvotes in r/vacsucks/

Didn't cheat at pro level cs atleast, thats a certain. Maybe randomly cheated in some games just for the luls and highlights? Dunno. Some of his clips back in the days were ridiculous, but then again if all you do is attempting to get highlights then maybe once in a million you'll make shots like the ones he did Can't comment on PUBG because never played it. Looks ridiculous when he plays though, high sens and that control is insane. But then again, thousands of hours playing, most likely vs a lot of beginner opponents and I guess some of the distant kills and fast kills where you barely see the enemy is just pure prediction based on the experience from the thousands of hours he has in that game. But then again, like I said, never even touched PUBG, from straight looking at the clip it looks fishy but I'm fairly certain its not cheating

dude ive watched shroud for so many hours and never suspected he could cheat but after this video i really start thinking that many streamers, including him, use some macros on their mouse that we all know are untrackable. its a shame how people can become what they become using this kind of things and i bet a lot of streamers and even pro players use this to make them more consistent. that F11 was just ridiculous in my opinion.
2020-01-16 19:57
dude would you explain that f11 shit to me? I didn't really get it what happened and why would it be strange at all.

its strange because commonly when you want to activate/disable a macro or cheat usually the keys are the F's and his reaction was totally bs, "oh whaat, f11 makes it fullscreen? whaaat", why would he press that key while playing in the first place, a guy who doesnt miss any flick shot but missclick to f11
2020-01-16 22:24
well if he is indeed cheating ,that wouldn't have been the first time he activated/deactivated it. I've been playing a lot of online games for 20y and I didn't knew f11 could be used to go fullscreen unless it was on browsers too. not even close to a cheating evidence. but other stuff is fishy for sure
2020-01-16 22:54
in the back of my head I always suspected he was cheating there is no doubt he is very very good also, but maybe he has software assistance what boggles me the most, by far, ain't even the flicks, but how easy it is for him to see semi-invisible enemies at camouflage/high distance/3 pixels exposure, and a lot of times it's almost like he's prefiring them, and a lot of time insta headshots without an effort, and also a lot of the times there's many other's enemies around him. this is a very bad video, with a lot of normal gameplay, but there's fishy stuff there 4sure most cheaters are very bad at the game. what happens when you give a high level cheat to someone who is actually very good at it already?
