You need to eat a bit less than your body needs and also make sure that you get all the nutrients. And then you will start loosing weight. Cuz if you "fast" in a way that you eat 5 borgars during the period when you are allowed to eat. Then there is no point.
Also partial malnutrition or reduction in eating habits works decently well too.
Depends on how much you eat. Intermittent fasting is basically just cutting your calorie consumption down. If we make it real basic and say you eat 3 meals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. All 600 calories then you're eating 1800 calories a day. Eating from 11-7 on intermittent fasting would cut out breakfast. Reducing your caloric intake by 600. But if eat your breakfast at 11, and still have all 3 meals, then you're still eating the same calories. You might lose some minor weight due to the longer fasting period, but it'd be barely anything.

The goal of fasting isn't to just lose weigh but your body to fully digest and health it self.
When you eat all the time and especially bad food your body focuses all it's energy to digest,if you constantly feed it shit every 2 hours your body will have no time to recover/heal itself because it's always digesting and battling inflammation.
It's like putting shit fuel in your car longer you do it the quicker it will break.

'does it actually work' it depends whether you're in a calorie deficit daily regardless of fasting 16 or 20 hours a day. you fast for nothing if you eat 3000 calories in a meal afterwards. anyway that's how i lost 20kg in <4 months back when i was super fat, it was hard at first but after a week i could control my appetite like a god. not for the weak mindeds
You have to be in a caloric defficite to lose weight if you do 16:8 but eat 5000calories during those 8 hours youll gain weight just as you would without fasting, but its hard to eat that much b3couse you skip 1 meal forsure so you probably will still go down
losing weight is not that hard. Just see a doctor, your might have insuline resistance which would cause limited weight losing. if your hormons are not working how they should be, you cannot lose too much weight with sports or diets. fix this with seeing a doctor.
If you just eat too much and dont move enough, then you see the problem already so take an action, fastings, sports, diets wont be effective at all. You need to change your life in order to lose weight permanently.

when you do intermitted fasting, your testestrone levels boost by a huge percent
because insulin level in your blood drops to almost 0, you will use your fat so much better

also you will not get hungry, only the first 3 4 days maybe
after that if you dont eat a single thing, you can stay fasted for as long as you want, i once fasted for 1 week straight, i only had apple juice mixed with water 2 times/day (and that was cuz i was hitting the gym)
but remember, as soon as you eat even the slightest things, your blood sugar goes up and the "super optimized fat lose" will stop immediately, and you will get hungry soon

intermittent fasting is good for cell regeneration, but it will not make you lose weight if you don't eat at a caloric deficit.
I doubt that's how your supposed to do intermittent fasting... Surely your supposed to eat something like an actual meal?
Yes it works. I tried OMAD for a week but that wasn't my thing after all. Then I figured out that best for me is 19/5. I can tell you have more energy than ever after your body gets used to it.
EDIT: I think it doesn't work if you eat shit like ice cream burgers etc. Your metabolism gets fucked if you eat that shit.
