Very solid advice, never expected to see one of these on HLTV (althrough my hatred to B450 Tomahawk is unreal)
2020-01-23 20:26
Why hate the tomahawk, it's a pretty decent board?

I had to put it in builds just when Ryzen 3xxx launched, retards from MSI never expected that someone will buy Ryzen CPU with their Ryzen-supporting MOBOs, in effect of what for 3 months straight I had to manualy find some 2400G, install fuckin 3xxx drivers on it, disassemble entire rig yet again, install 3xxx and then finnaly install all other drivers and apps, 15 times daily
2020-01-23 21:01
That is completely your fault. No old boards support newer CPUs out of the box. Idk about the third gen Ryzen, but for second gen Ryzen AMD offered upgrade kits. You could apply for it and AMD would send you the cheapest first gen CPU to flash the BIOS on your board and then you would return the CPU back to AMD.

Even these MOBOs that came 3 weeks after 3xxx release hadn't driver installed. It wouldn't be that bad but those fuckers literally put new sticker on box with ad "Ryzen 3000 serie ready"
2020-01-23 21:34
That's retarded if they put it stickers on it, but no support. It's probably marketing who put something like "3rd Gen Ryzen Ready!".

The Radeon 5700 XT eliminates the RTX 2060 Super from contention, offering more performance at the same price, while the vanilla RX 5700 offers 2060 Super performance for a ~$50 discount. So this one's pretty cut and dry if you want the most performance for your dollar.

card is garbage, 3 of my friends have it and only problems. amd has still not fixed it and it is a known problem.
2020-01-23 21:59
Way too many problems. I know 2 people who's cards cause their computers to black screen after gaming for 30-45 minutes. I tried to help them fix it and found out that it's a known issue with amd's shitty drivers. Nothing we could find fixed it. Not worth it.

if you play CS mostly you should prioritize a good CPU

2020-01-23 20:25

You can go I7-9700k , any z390 amd rtx 2060
2020-01-23 20:51
Sure you need a new CPU? If what you have now is just half way decent, then most of the time the GPU is the real choke point so money are often spend better there. Also if you do not have an SSD get one for OS and main apps, makes everything feel faster.

yeah cpu is really old, i got it in like 2011
2020-01-24 00:25
If it is a quad core it can still be okay. Why not start with getting the GPU and see how it works, you might be surprised, Plus not only will it perhaps save you a pretty penny it will also save all the time it takes to reinstall everything.

Ryzen 3600x b450 motherboard rtx 2060 or 2060 super
2020-01-23 22:51
3600x is fucking stupid
2020-01-23 23:40
Some extra boost in single core perfromance oculd be beneficial in csgo. You're right though, it is less cost effective and the extra money should go into a 2060 super
2020-01-23 23:41
Meh i prefer rx 5600xt
