hltv.org/ranking/teams/2017/april/24 How the fuck was that Hellraisers lineup 8th? If your best player is STYKO you should be worried

Oh, so ur saying that they were better than fnatic, gambit, G2, NIP, Optic, C9? Ive been watching since 2015 so think again
2020-01-24 00:35
Yes they were? Look at the rankings? It’s based on performance. Do you disagree with the ranking system on HLTV?

Rankings aren't everything, if you look at the current rankings Forze are 13th even though they have done close to nothing since moscow

Your opinion isn’t everything. HellRaisers were #8 at the time because they performed above the teams below them
2020-01-24 00:44
Styko was very good back then. Also he was set up as the star player, not the support

Yes but still, a team with deadfox and ANGE1 is already lacking firepower, and zer0 and bondik were good players for sure but not godlike
2020-01-24 00:36
If you look at the graph, they spiked for a short moment of time due to this tournament hltv.org/events/2683/sl-i-league-starser.. and after that they went back into the 10-20 region.

yes i assumed it was something like that, still insane tho
2020-01-24 00:42
The quality of counterstrike in general was lower back then. It's insane how much better teams and players have gotten

also true, many teams ranked 20-30 wouldn't even be top 50 now. That danish Singularity roster and LG looks terrible for example

for sure, it looks like they peaked at a pretty big event right then with some best of 1 wins against high ranked teams. Those teams behind them are pretty close aswell, to be fair, so the 8th place looks crazier than it is.

imagine being STYKO, first you carry HR and everyone loves you and then you move to mouz to be hated by all the forums for like 2 years
2020-01-24 00:44
zero and styko were pretty good back then and wasnt this around the time where ppl said bondik should join navi?

true but good decision they chose electronic instead even though I like bondik. If they got bondik instead of Edward the team would be winning alot more

Electronic blade markeloff omg :))

It's kinda like NIP nowadays they always hovers around 10th place even though they never achieve any good placings or tournement wins
