+1 I will take t2 cs over watching boring asstralis shit on everyone with their sleeper playstyle any day. The last couple of years have been the most boring years of csgo since it came out. Remember how insane Flusha and fnatic were in 2015? The insane clutch plays? God I miss it.
It's more like the other way around. Astralis is the only team which has the motivation to constantly put in the work to develop their level of cs, that's why they stay on top. Meanwhile all the other teams are satisfied with their paychecks.
it is obvious from reports and posts that teams need to decide which to participate in. So yes, some could reject either league's offer and go with the other.
Edit: I will add that either way both leagues will be fun to watch
Yes thats what hes saying, infact its likely some WILL reject the invite to participate in B-Site. I believe Astralis has said in interviews they are unsure of which league they're going to participate in which could be a good sign of the dilemma going on with other teams.
Why would that be likely? The entire objective here is to create a sustainable future for CS. Splitting up all the best teams and have them only play eachother 3x a year does the opposite. It says in ESLs statement that C9 and mibr were invited but rejected them. If other teams had similar things in mind surely they wouldve commited by now?
Nah bro its just annoying to see all the morons not have reading comprehension and getting played by ESL. ESL legit made it look like those are the teams participating and is only doing that to gain sponsorships ahead of time.
Dont be a brain-dead sheep who thinks ESL is in it for the fans, neither leagues are and I'll be ready to call out b-site if they do something shitty
edit: nice argument btw of just saying 'what are you being paid or something. Super lazy strawman btw
If anything, ESL were late on this announcement as they've given very little time for the teams not invited (back) into the EPL to prepare for MDL. ... Pretty clear ESL have been trying to rush this, given the revving up of B-site.
I've been saying for years that the term "talent" is ridiculous and stinks of inflated egos...
The players are the real talent in CS, and that's what most fans come to see.
If Thorin and co. are so talented, let's see what kind of show they can put on with almost none of the best teams.
If we want the CS scene to not collapse we need to have these leagues be successful. We already were dumb and fucked the deal with YouTube, we fucked the deal with Facebook, we fucked the income that venture capitalists were getting. We need to stop being greedy babies and actually make something work
If that means watching some tier 2 games is that so bad
