Hltv Sociology Discussions #1
Nigeria ConservativeLiberal
[In this series of threads, there will be discussions with the participation of the users with the high knowledge (or at least people whose are not trolling). Everybody accuses Hltv forums for being immature and toxic community but I know that there are a lot of educated sensible users and my intention is to show everbody that Hltv forums is just more than an immature & toxic community. While doing this, another benefit will be gaining insight from users’ different point views. I am hoping that everbody will ignore the users who are desperately seeking attention and trying to get this attention by replying with low baits and trolls. I will be putting the links of previous discussions in every thread.] -Today’s Topic: Crime Rate Crime exist in every society in the human history. No matter how hard humans try to eliminate it and offered different kinds of solutions, crime rate has never been lowered to negligible numbers. Sociologists, psychologists, scientist made countless researches and they still do. There are so many questions to ask but I will put some of them so we can have a starting point to discuss. These are the questions: -What is the ultimate source of crime? -Harsh punishment to discourage or constructive punishment to resettlement? -Shoud death penalty be exist? -Is crime in human’s nature or it comes from external conditions (e.g. society)? -And finally, what is your solution? Let’s have an insightful discussion!

.@realDonaldTrump: The Do Nothing Democrats just keep repeating and repeating, over and over again, the same old "stuff" on the Impeachment Hoax. They want to use up ALL of their time, even though it is the wrong thing to do. They ought to go back to work for our great American people

Make people in jail do harsh manual labor instead of sitting on their assess and watch TV. If prisoner refuses to work - death sentence.

Maybe have them stay in prison for life until they pay off a debt by working.

-What is the ultimate source of crime?: Depends one the crime, most of the time it is desire or jealously. It also highly depends on the person committing a crime. -Harsh punishment to discourage or constructive punishment to resettlement? -Shoud death penalty be exist? Yes definitely. Not only to discourage crime but also to get the scum out of our society. Not only will this remove the criminals themselves but it'll also stop them from having (more) children which will have a higher chance of becoming a criminal themselves due to genetic reasons and due to bad parenting. -Is crime in human’s nature or it comes from external conditions (e.g. society)? It is human nature, you can see this in the animal kingdom where cuckoo's steal nests for instance. So it is logical to assume that humans would also have a natural drive to steal/kill/rape etc. -And finally, what is your solution? There is no easy solution to crime. I think that the best way to solve it is to increase police presence and increase punishment. This will make sure that more criminals get caught which will then be incapable of hurting the general populace and will make other people scared to actually commit crime in the first place. It'll still happen but hopefully a lot less.

-What is the ultimate source of crime? lack of alternatives -Harsh punishment to discourage or constructive punishment to resettlement? marginal effect of punishment decreases, so punishment yes but reducing re-offender rates is much more important as the goal is to reduce crime in the most economically effective way -Shoud death penalty be exist? probably not as it can't be reversed, also ethics are questionable and it's even more expensive -Is crime in human’s nature or it comes from external conditions (e.g. society)? both, humans are naturally selfish, nature isn't pretty. our ancestors were all murderers and rapists, only a question of how far you have to go back. but you can create an environment were more humans "behave" -And finally, what is your solution? not give people reasons to commit crimes? i.e. good alternatives, make crimes risky and treat people with mental illness.
