A spokesman for police in the nearby town of Aalen told CNN that the incident appeared to be linked to a "family drama," and that the police operation was still ongoing.

he is a sports shooter, or however thats called
2020-01-24 22:45
Restricted but not banned. He had a license and legally owned the gun he used to shoot people with. Seems like our laws are not strict enough.

It doesn’t seem like a good idea for a very limited amount of people to own guns to me. Either none or full on USA. I feel like in Germany someone could get that license and go on a rampage with no one to stop them.
2020-01-24 22:53
Yeah thats not impossible but shootings here are still very rare. Full USA mode is not a really good option xD
2020-01-24 22:55
Yes, give mentally ill people their guns as its unfair to ban anything... Let schizophrenics fly jet planes and buy explosives too.

The Netherlands has the same policy as Germany, but it's still not easy to own a gun at home, you'll have to qualify for multiple requirements

cry is free but pls dont shoot anyone
2020-01-24 22:37
it's like the 3rd or 4th post here and not even 10% of the US shootings get posted here
2020-01-24 22:50
99% of "shootings" get posted here if you consider the infamous wikipedia list with shootings where people don't die or sometimes not even get injured.
2020-01-24 22:53
most shootings from this list don't get posted here. that's the point, the US simply has a mass shooting almost every day. I am not even trolling, mass shootings in the US used to be news in Europe but now even big mass shootings barely get any attention anymore because people just considered it normal for the US
2020-01-24 22:57
because mass shooting is a vague term made to sound worse than reality. Gangs killing each other (targeted and honestly no one cares) and someone randomly shooting up a bar don't hold the same weight but people like you for some reason want to make it seem like they do.
2020-01-24 23:00
lol what a ridiculous excuse. if you have gangs shooting each other and "randomly shooting up a bar" is considered normal then clearly you have an issue.
2020-01-24 23:13
where did I consider either of them normal? are you illiterate? Sorry that I have an entire continent under my country ruled by narcotic druglords and happen to live in the wealthiest country in the history of the world.
2020-01-24 23:16
someone "randomly shooting up a bar" is clearly news worthy. the fact that it doesn't even get a lot of attention anymore shows that it's normalized now. also those druglords only exist because of your idiotic war on drugs and the same druglords buy and own a ton of American guns. basically you are feeding them. same with your local gangs, just shows that you failed as a society
2020-01-24 23:22
I'm not sure where you get the idea from your first statement. npr.org/2019/02/21/696561255/heckler-koc..
2020-01-24 23:27
??? because those aren't big news stories anymore. Also 70% of the guns come from the US: cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/fil.. Even Fox News admits it: foxnews.com/world/mexico-guns-black-mark.. And the US government was involved in it: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATF_gunwalking_sca.. > the ATF "purposely allowed licensed firearms dealers to sell weapons to illegal straw buyers, hoping to track the guns to Mexican drug cartel leaders and arrest them"
2020-01-24 23:32
Shooting up multiple people randomly in a bar will always be a big story I don't know where you get that idea from. Leftist media will always make a case and a headline for it don't kid yourself. To be fair the US could do a better job on this but my original link clearly shows that money has more power than the law. There are also several of other countries in South America that have military officials selling their guns to cartels. We're talking about multi billion dollar illegal organizations here. If they don't buy them from the US they WILL buy them somewhere else. also: worldview.stratfor.com/article/mexicos-g..
2020-01-24 23:45
"leftist media" lol, cry more also NA logic "If they don't buy them from the US they WILL buy them somewhere else.". Just goes back to the point that it's your own fault. also it isn't just US weapons, they are also buying it with US money because you are the ones buying the drugs. and the whole problem only exists because of your war on drugs
2020-01-24 23:52
what do you want us to do? make buying drugs illegal? *cough* They also make plenty of money selling drugs in Europe by the way... Well since you make it seem so simple I'll make this problem easy for you since you seem like you know how to point the finger. In a hypothetical universe where the US has european like gun laws. How do you, a hypothetical US president prevent cartels in SA: 1. Make a shit ton of money/power through smuggling drugs 2. Buying weapons from other corrupt countries or weapon manufacturers.
2020-01-25 00:00
maybe don't make buying drugs illegal? also SA is just another region where the US has been messing and causing problems for decades. both the CIA and the DEA. again, maybe you should have ended your idiotic war on drugs decades ago? cartels only really exist because of the US. plus none of that explain the domestic issues with gangs, which is just another problem.
2020-01-25 00:05
We should just make crystal meth a legal product? LMFAO please tell me you are joking. Sick solution man I'm glad you took advantage of the situation I gave you.
2020-01-25 00:07
well, US drug policies have failed, both domestically and internationally. and countries like Portugal have decriminalized drugs and it works pretty well. many European countries have comparable strategy, e.g. Swiss government gives heroin substitutes to addicts instead of treating them like criminals. if anything it's the rest of the world laughing at the US. again, you are the ones with mass shootings and gangs and convinced that your war on drugs will somehow magically work one day. so far the facts are that it doesn't.
2020-01-25 00:12
Does Switzerland or Portugal allow you to sell and buy crystal meth repeatedly without any punishment? If the answer is no, then the scenario doesn't change. You could hypothetically make SA look like Europe in every way but there is someone always going to be somewhere trying to make money selling/manufacturing hazardous addictive drugs. I asked you how to prevent cartels from getting money and power. So far you haven't provided any valid solution and you are only dodging the original question by telling me how to help citizens recover addiction rather than fix the problem with corruption and violence that you can point a finger to but not make a solution.
2020-01-25 00:21
stupid strawman argument. decriminalization and government programs are obviously not the same as selling crystal meth in supermarkets and nobody is advocating for that. fact is the the American "solution" failed, hence why you have so many addicts, crimes, gangs, gun violence... which is the topic we were talking about. You are simply trying to derail the conversation because you know you are wrong. clearly the American strategy is a failure. mass shootings and gangs aren't normal in other Western countries, certainly not to the extend they are in the US. Also not sure why you expect me to have solutions to all your problems but I already told you like a million times that the war on drugs is obviously a terrible strategy, so maybe start with ending that? Maybe improve your education system as it seems pretty bad too. Maybe do something about inequality because people probably wouldn't join gangs if they had better options. Maybe don't have a braindead constitution that is obsessed with gun rights... it's not like no other country has figured it out. Most Western European countries don't really have those issues.
2020-01-25 00:39
I admit that I'm wrong to some degree on the cartel situation and that my government is to some degree at fault. Here is the underlying issue that you are still ignoring. I gave you the situation that negated that fault by putting european like gun laws in a hypothetical universe for the USA. I asked you how do you stop a cartel from getting power, money, guns, etc through selling drugs like crystal meth. Maybe your brain is too small to understand the question so I will elaborate. What could you do as a US president stop me from: 1. Manufacturing Crystal meth and selling it in the US from South America. 2. Using the billions of dollars I made to: - Buy out corrupt politicians in South American countries - Purchase weapons illegally from corrupt dealers/military officials. (assuming that the US has strict EU gun laws) 3. Have gang wars with people who are doing the same thing I'm doing in the US (over money/territory of course) Once again all these things that you have listed as the US's problems like guns, education, inequality. I want you to assume in this scenario that those problems don't exist. I only want you to consider that I am from a predetermined poor/violent country in South America but have gang connections to make this happen. For the sake of the scenario (and reality), assume my country of origin had no USA interference/presence at all before you start spewing out conspiracy theories. Hell for the sake of you claiming that I am derailing from the conversation I will admit I am wrong for what ever it is you accused me of being wrong about in hopes you don't ramble about that as well. I hope that in your next reply you don't continue to drag on about what the US has done in the past as it just doesn't help to find a solution. Its pretty obvious that you simply don't have a solution to any of these problems and like I said all you can do it point a finger and blame the US for trying. I'm in high hopes that you can prove me wrong.
