Death of famous basketball player Kobe Bryant was interesting in so many ways. One of them is the cultural impact of a country to another/others. I saw so many people ridiculously devastated by the news. I already can hear you saying “He was an iconic person, we grew watching him” something like that. That’s what I am talking about. If I had an opportunity to conduct surveys in different countries, I would show how it effected countries’ people differently. For example, way more Turkish people cared about it and felt devastated than Russian people. This is an example. You can write thesis on it. Cultural impact of usa is unbelievable. They literally conquered countries by cultural imperialism.
There is a difference between watching and being culturally imposed. Chinese people love nba that’s right but there are two points: first, China is huge and majority of them don’t give a shit. Second, they watch and shit but they don’t admire them as much as other countries which are highly under the influence of usa.
