It depends on if you want to burn fat or carbs basically. It does not affect your weight loss. If you exercise early in the morning on a regular basis, before breakfast, your body gets used to use its "reserves" easier, aka fat. It comes in handy when you want to run a long distance like a marathon, where the carb intake might not be enough to supply the energy needed. The unburned carbs you have, turn in to fat anyway. So it does not really matter from a weight loss point of view. Another aspect is that if you exercise early in the morning, is that you won't be able to perform as well since you don't have the same energy available. And if you can't push yourself as you want - you won't burn as much. So it has a few downsides and upsides. It comes down to personal preference.

My usual routine: fasted cardio in the morning, daily fast for 20+ hours, fasted resistance training for 1-1.5 hours in the evening, then I eat. On the rest days I could extend my eating window to 4 hours if needed. I think many people would prefer fasted workouts if they get used to it, but to each their own, try to experiment and figure what works better for YOU.

Fasted training sounds so useless because any gym guy will tell you that if you don’t eat you don’t grow Maybe you deem that fasting lifestyle healthier and maybe it is healthier compared to eating like a pig bodybuilder but you will always look like a 40kg kid

Hey. I've been doing vegan keto for the last 4.5 months, gonna back to carbs in the next week. Removing all the unhealthy stuff at once can be hard for many people, but you can do it step by step. I won't suggest to go vegan, but I'd recommend to remove dairy. Besides that try to reduce sugar, fried/baked food, refined carbs. Drink water instead of soda, eat more vegetables, whole grains, beans/legumes/lentils, try to stick to low glycemic food mostly to avoid blood sugar spikes/drops which will lead to cravings. Learn to cook your food so you could really enjoy your meal(s) (yes, even healthy food can be tasty 😊) and eat enough to be satisfied but don't overeat, I'd recommend to eat a bit under your maintenance calories. As for diet: it's all individual, so make your own diet which you will be to follow 24/7/365, but keep in mind that changing your eating habits is a long process, so don't blame yourself if you occasionally eat some unhealthy stuff.

One thing I'm certain is that I'll never get to cook, I know I could but it's so stressing, I'm hopelessly bad and not good at fighting laziness. I'm not big fan of cooking neither. :-) That's one of the reasons why I do IF -- you don't have to worry about food during the day and don't need to spend too much time on cooking since you do it only once a day.

thats fucking sick bro im currentl doing the casual 16:8 and still somehow fuck it up I feel like im undereating tho cus in the mornings when I hit the weights I feel so fucking weak(im trying to eat more on my last meal). and then in the evening i either train or I run 5-7k depends but man being 8-9% body fat must take a lot of discipline

IF can be tough in the beginning (especially if you used to eat 3-5 times a day), but if you do everything properly your body will eventually adjust and you will get used to it. If you feel weak make sure you eat enough (slightly under maintenance calories is fine) and get enough protein, B vitamins, potassium, magnesium, vitamin D and so on. If you’re off uni early it’s easy to do 2pm cause the gyms aren’t crowded If you work mornings, or run uni till late I would eat a light meal, nap for 30min to an hour then hit the gym with coffee or PWO and hope it doesn’t fuck with my sleep later on

I do OMAD and exercise fasted in the evening after I come home from work. Believe me or not, I feel a lot better than if I would have ate something 1.5-2 hours prior to gym. Two-three months ago I tried to eat and go gym in 2 hours, just out of curiosity. Honestly, I felt like sh*t and did not enjoy my gym session. Actually I felt so bad (not bad overall, but bad compared to how I feel when work out fasted) so my only desire was to finish training session as fast as possible. Usually, when I work out fasted, I literally have to force myself to leave the gym. Many people are afraid to work out fasted because they think they will lose muscles or something. That is bullshit. Firstly, lean muscles are not that easy to lose as people tend to think. Secondly, fasting increases growth hormone and testosterone, it helps to preserve muscle mass. And if you eat properly you will notice it actually increases your body's response to training stimulus. After full day of fasting and intense work out your body is so insulin sensitive so utilizes all nutrients much more effectively. I am not saying its better for EVERYONE to work out fasted, but it has some benefits. Try it and figure out if it suits you or not.
