Palestina will have a capital on East Jerusalem, that's almost how it's now. Same for that lose about West Bank. Israel conquered that part back in the day and it's from them since 50 years ago because it was a strategic place to stop help from other arab countries during war. They already lost that, in a war that arab countries created after UN plan. It's true that is not recognized by the UN or most of the countries, but the reality is what it is, some countries doesn't recognize Palestine country, but that seems not of your interest.
It's like I don't want to share half of the cake with you, I try to kick you and eat all of them, but instead of that, you're stronger and kick my ass. Instead of taking all the cake for you you take 3/4 so I cry how bad you're and keep asking you for the first partition or for all the cake because you're the bad guy who punched me. Does that make sense?
I mean, I don't know if that's right or if it's wrong, because it's a really complicated scenario and the example is too simple, but there's no sense comparing land portions between what they where 60 years ago to what they are now after a WAR.
Army thing makes no sense for us, but I guess that if the other country is the one who started a war 60 years ago and would do it again if they were stronger, it makes some kind of sense, at the end is the same of those nuclear embargo things that international community does to ban some countries like Iran or Best Korea.
