Pretty much, yeah. This even furthers his popularity because it will be seen as a case of "Well, he tried his hardest" although it was a stupid plan that was never going to be accepted. Even the diplomats around the world are seeing it as stupid, yet accepts it formally as it's a peaceful soluition.. although it would never pass.

They will, as long as palistine leaders accept that their country consists only from desert areas without any ressources (water etc). Which obviously wont happen.

Everyone understands that's it's an Israeli-friendly deal. USA and Israel are allies and that Trump wants ignore the settlements that are internationally admitted to be Palestinian and kick the palestinians out of Jerusalem is a joke.

Problem is that you see it from a past view where everything or at least, most of that portion of land wasn't Israel (neither was Palestine but we're gonna leave this for a next chapter). Compared to what is right now, it's a good offer to start talking, then you can do later adjustments, problem is that they don't want to talk about this or anything that doesn't involve Israel to be erased from the map. So if you compare the map of this pact to what it used to be right after UN plan, Israel is winning territory, but if you compared to what it's now, they are losing and Palestine is almost doubling his territory, plus money and international recognition among other things, so is not a bad deal, by any mean. I mean, the good part of the deal, is that would came with a real recognition at all levels to what are both countries and came with a peace or future peace, but I guess that some people is willing to die for a piece of land (that they have no option to get it back even with war) than get peace and freedom.

Palestinians out of the entire Jerusalem, lose about a third of the West Bank (Jordan valley), receive some empty desert in return. Yay "International recognition" means shit when a part of the deal is that they CANT EVEN HAVE AN ARMY. They couldn't even control parts of the sea that they would touch, it would be under full Israeli control. Israel always states they have a right to defend themselves, but are denying that right from the Palestinians in the so called "peace deal" It's a bad joke, really.

Palestina will have a capital on East Jerusalem, that's almost how it's now. Same for that lose about West Bank. Israel conquered that part back in the day and it's from them since 50 years ago because it was a strategic place to stop help from other arab countries during war. They already lost that, in a war that arab countries created after UN plan. It's true that is not recognized by the UN or most of the countries, but the reality is what it is, some countries doesn't recognize Palestine country, but that seems not of your interest. It's like I don't want to share half of the cake with you, I try to kick you and eat all of them, but instead of that, you're stronger and kick my ass. Instead of taking all the cake for you you take 3/4 so I cry how bad you're and keep asking you for the first partition or for all the cake because you're the bad guy who punched me. Does that make sense? I mean, I don't know if that's right or if it's wrong, because it's a really complicated scenario and the example is too simple, but there's no sense comparing land portions between what they where 60 years ago to what they are now after a WAR. Army thing makes no sense for us, but I guess that if the other country is the one who started a war 60 years ago and would do it again if they were stronger, it makes some kind of sense, at the end is the same of those nuclear embargo things that international community does to ban some countries like Iran or Best Korea.

The cake example is silly because from the Palestinian perspective the "cake" is theirs to begin with for generations and hundreds of years, of course they don't want to give HALF of their homeland to foreigners. From their perspective, the Jews are invaders that took their homelands. This new deal certainly doesn't help.

I know they think that's their land, but Jews lived there too and they where one of the ancestors of those lands too, plus they bought with payment contracts to arabs when all this shit started so everyone could be "happy". By the way, that land was part of the british empire and they sent the problem to the UN who decided to part the land on that way so both countries could succeed (lol), lasted 1 day until arab countries started a war. I mean, state of Israel exist since 48 while Palestine was proclamed on 88 and it wasn't recognized by UN until 2012, maybe you can see a problem about owning land with this. So it's much more complicated, than Israel is occupying their half of the cake. Things are like they are now, and Trump plan is not bad, it could be better, but I'm sure that's better than being at war like forever.

The Palestinians rejected a plan that was actually favorable to them in 1947. Guess this is what happens when you’re an ungrateful snob.

ur not a smart guy are u ? in hindsight yes it's better than today, but israel had no rights to to demand a "partition plan". so of course palestine should not have accepted the deal
