Literally you can suffer withdrawal effects or worse, die, if you quit suddenly. Depends how far they've gone.

bro there's a ton of online or telephone numbers you can call about gambling addiction.... the first step is admitting you do got somit going on and it needs to change, that's a plus friend just keep the wheel rolling and make the next step!

If you're not drunk at work then OK. And set a monthly deposit limit for casino.
2020-02-14 21:35
i dont drink at work and i set monthly thing but i found another site :( problem is i cant stop either i go until i have no money left :( tbh i think gambling problem is worse than alcohol, i only drink on evenings and usualy dont get ultra drunk. it just sets my mood u kno..

Find something else to do in the place of drinking/gambling.
2020-02-14 21:44
best advice so far and yes, deep down i know this is it. thx.

I have a "addiction" problem too, and when i tried to "stop" doing it (its complicated) i got so bored that i just wanted to do something to keep myself active. People with the same condition said that: You need to change your way of living (i cant), or replace it with something else so you stop doing it. Every time you have the need to gamble/drink, go take a walk or some shit, and try to avoid triggers
2020-02-14 22:39
its on my mind 24/7 tho.. walking is rlly boring.. :(
2020-02-14 22:40
Yeah, the same for me, i know how it feels. When trying to stop you feel hollow like you are throwing a part of yourself away, shit is terrible. But finding something to replace it and finding why you do it helps (at least to udnerstand). try to focus at the task at hand and avoid triggers. Professional help is a way too. Edit: meditation helped me a lot. even though i stopped doing it.

Every time you log on to a casino, just self-exclude yourself? Every time you want a drink, go for a drive instead? Dump all your money to some family member you can trust? Not going to cure your addictions but maybe just having time to think twice is just enough to keep you out of shit.
2020-02-14 21:45
i started putting money on funds whenever i won alot, like if i put in 300-400€ when i got to 1k € i would take out 200€ and put it on a fund, i figured it would be good because it takes 2 bank days to withdraw it and by that time i usualy dont have that urge anymore, its just in the moment, if i lose alot i have to gamble more instantly, doesnt matter if i need that money for surgery or for gas to drive to work, i will gamble it..

Every time you feel like gambling, put that money on your ASP account or whatever. Takes some discipline, but at least it still will be your money. I totally feel you, I'd gamble a lot so I've made up some routines so the losses will be limited to sums I actually can afford to lose even if my problem is nowhere near as bad as yours is. Drinking problem I've fixed with Rainbow I, it's cheap and tastes like beer but downing a sixer or two won't kill you. I'll stay completely sober for one weekend a month by arranging my routines that way (however this ain't one, I've downed a 2L box of wine and a couple of beers and I'm still feeling the call of my local pub).

1 year ain't that much if you just find a reason you can easily quit. I drank really much last year but this year not at all

No not suicide. There are services dedicated to overcoming drinking and gambling addictions. Actually a few years ago I remember hltv promoting one of these sites. But anyways, there is help you can find online and I'm sure your government also has some sort of help available as well for these specific situations. Step one would be to see a doctor and he'll probably refer you to them
