because. Look, i dunno but its dissapointing to see tier 1 get shat on by tier 999
2020-02-15 08:24
But what about the pro amp fuel gaming advert with the grill? She clearly says at the strat of it that 'everybody loves an underdog.' Why do you not like these underdog?
2020-02-15 08:39
Liquid tier 1 and Faze tier 999? Nice joke.
2020-02-15 08:52
We've seen million upsets on different tournaments, should we dislike the TO then? Trust me, we gonna see top tier teams failing at IEM Katowice, but its not ESL fault, you know?

upset matches are fun and exciting because they are rare (atleast imo) but if theres one every weekend for 3 weeks in a row it gets stale.

No solution, as tier 1 teams have to quit throwing on LAN. I HIGHLY doubt CoL and OG keep up the form theyve shown in Blast, rather theyll fall off, i love those teams but come on.

Nah I like it. reminds me of Eleague back in 2016. There is nothing better than coming home after a long, tough week of work/school to enjoy quality CS over the weekend where it's not some playoffs bracket but rather an official regular season match kinda like regular sports.

EEExactly, this is made for the viewers, and I love it.
2020-02-15 08:37
Yep, and I'm sure the pros love it as well because it's not like you're super stressed to have to take a long flight to have to play a stressful group-stage then have to go to playoffs right after to try to win a ton of recognition and money. Now they can take it much easier and be much more calm and collected while they play.
2020-02-15 08:38
These guys are getting paid salaries that are too high and they complain. Look at the scene and half the time players cry and make the wrong decisions and then cry more and blame someone else. IT WAS THE PLAYERS WHO WANTED THAT DOGSHIT SWISS SYSTEM THAT CREATED FLUKE HELL FOR LIKE 4 MAJORS. GSL was far better because same rando Tier 3 CIS team can't just get lucky and teams unable to prepare shit at all
2020-02-15 08:59
I'm not talking just about majors. Non-major events don't have that Swiss system and use GSL for groups, but I'm sure that this style of league is well-liked by the pros and the viewers.
2020-02-15 09:04
GSL is the best thing tbh. This tournament I really enjoyed. I sadly started watching at the death of gsl or (like just groups basically) and into the era of Swiss. tbh I think a majority of pros don't like it because 2/4 or 3/4 teams will be the ones in a disadvantage because random picks means you can luck out on a Bo1/Bo3 win because you can't anti-strat in a day and if you have a player that can randomly become a top 5 player in a group stage. So many upsets from teams that have no business even being in the tournament
2020-02-15 10:00
Don’t watch it then. 500iq move

Estonia 424hhhh
No. But it gets stale if the top 24 and top 48 team in the world beat top 1 teams in the world all of a sudden 2 weeks in a row. (excluding FaZe ofc).
2020-02-15 12:00
Its not Blast's fault you know. It's pretty clear to me that every team in top 10 can upset one another. Even a top 20 team can upset a top 10 team if they are having an off day (ENCE is an exception - they cant win anyone atm). CS right now is just very competitive which is a good thing imo. If you watch any other professional sports its kinda rare that teams just march from win to win. The 87-0 times are long gone (thank god).
2020-02-15 09:20
It's the first tournament of the year for a lot of these teams and most of the top teams look like their form isn't 100% back yet. Blast is pretty nice as a tournament organiser imo. I'm glad they got rid of the stupid BO1 format.

blame teams and their performance, not an event lmao...and btw all matches were actually fun to watch so no problem for me at all
2020-02-15 12:03
Blast is actually cool Way better than esl in terms of organizing tournaments
2020-02-15 12:59
I mean it's like its main zest LOL
2020-02-15 13:00
Blast is the only really unpredictable and fun to watch in terms of teams' performance tournament
2020-02-15 13:01
Love the new blast. Great format, we have a new tournament with top-teams every week. Great desk (thorin). Only terrible thing is they didn't invite fnatic, mouse but instead shit teams like NIP
