Do you even have a life? To the ones that do not understand, there was a thread named "Vegetarian" that was made 11 mins before this thread with a similar context but different at the same time.

if more people become vegan. more meat would go to waste as animals are dying and noone buying meat. so best way to save environment is actually is to just buy and eat meat 2000iq

Don't worry bro, I had 700 grams of lamb for dinner tonight and some bone broth then kefir for dessert. I think I make up for about 3 vegans.
2020-02-18 13:52
bro there is no vegan that benches 300kg+. dont know about squat/dl but im pretty sure that the strongest vegan deadlifts over 100kg less than eddie hall's 500kg which is over 20% lmao

Even among meat eaters there is not too many people in the world who bench 300+ kg and lift 500 kg, so?
2020-02-18 13:37
15 replies
yes, but there are shittons of meateaters that deadlift between 400 and 500kg same thing with squat, meateaters are by far stronger than vegans when it comes to lifting

Honestly, I am not that interested in it to do a research. And I do not really care if vegan diet is more or less optimal for people who lift extremely high weights. I am just an ordinary guy who hit gym regularly to feel good and look good, and I can do it on vegan diet. I do not chase max possible mass gains nor very high weights, I rather strive for full control and perfect technique in every rep. As for body look I also prefer aesthetic over size.

if u are a regular gym hitter then without a doubt veganism is good for you. i didnt say anything against that. i was talking about the top athletes who are the strongest and lift the most. all of them are meat eaters. /closed

Top athletes reach their results because of good genetics, steroids and hard work, not because they simply eat meat. Maybe they could achieve even better results on vegan diet, maybe not, we cant know because they have not even tried to go vegan.

and there is a reason they have not gone vegan. why do you think that there are literally zero upcoming vegan medal contenders?
2020-02-18 17:20
5 replies
The only reason is because they have been taught to follow certain routine which implies eating meat, that's it. When you come to gym in 99% cases coach will tell you something like "you need to eat meat to make any gains".

if vegan diet actually worked at the top, all the strongmen would go vegan. look at how hafthor, brian and eddie eat for example. when they keep this shit up (plus the steroids of course) the chance of getting an heart attack before 50 is pretty big. who wouldnt want to switch to a vegan diet and save themselves while maintaining the muscle and strength?
2020-02-18 17:28

They have been following their routine for years. Veganism became popular only in the last 5-7 years and still hasn't been studied enough yet. Why would they want/need to risk everything and change what already works well just to try out veganism? Or they just want to continue eat meat because they like it.
2020-02-18 17:35

yeah but some guys stated here that it is 1000% proven and get you the same gains without any health problems. yet there is no information and no top athletes

Not yet, but if vegan trend will continue rising there will be new researches and eventually we will get proofs. In my opinion whether you are vegan or not lifting extremely high weights is not healthy since it usually implies taking steroids, eating a lot of food, stress your endocrine system, and so on.
2020-02-18 17:47
you seem to be clueless about lifting, many powerlifters are vegan

yes. and why is that? that is not a choice. if it was a choice, all the athletes would go vegan to avoid heart diseases in the future.

because most people believe the myth you need meat to be strong. This dude looks pretty strong to me: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrik_Baboumian

can you even read? im talking about the top Patrik Baboumian Height: 1.71 m (5 feet 7 inches) Bodyweight: 116 kg (256 pounds) Biceps: 50 cm (20 inches) Bench: 215 kg (474 pounds) Squat: 370 kg (820 pounds) Deadlift: 360 kg (790 pounds) bro 945kg total. and that is the highest that you can show me. he is strong without a doubt but you cant take a medal with these stats.
